I'm a woman in my late 60s & have always been fairly active, but got a bit lazy recently, so I decided if I want to get stronger & fitter as I age, then I need to make the effort...for me! I started with CrossFit Sunnyside just 2 weeks ago & from the friendly welcome on my initial visit for info from Mike the owner to my first few workouts I'm happy I did. Mike & Leo have guided me thus far & there is a genuinely friendly & professional atmosphere in the gym. Everyone is pulling for your success & adjustments can be made to suit your fitness level. I love the idea of the 1:1 for 5 sessions upfront, which helps show what to expect during the classes & assesses what my strengths & weaknesses are & therefore knowing those things I can work to better achieve my goals. Their prices are very reasonable for what's on offer & there are several programs to choose from. I have one more 1:1 session on Monday & looking forward to getting in the team sessions soon. If you're hesitant about starting....or returning to a workout program, whatever age or fitness level you're at....hesitate no more, get in touch with the gym, you won't be sorry!

The classes are fun and intense. Good community. I love how we alternate through different stations…read moreand different workouts. I get bored easily and this is not boring. One exercise for a few minutes before moving on to a completely different exercise. The coaches move around abd give pointers. Another plus are there are screens on the wall showing the exercises so if you forget what to do, lose concentration or need a reminder without wanting to ask a trainer it's right there. They don't have many bathrooms so the line gets long after class but that provide towels and massage guns are available. We wipe down what we used after class so it's clean. There is also a water station.

Love the music, very motivating mix. Sometimes I feel like fitness classes don't hit the music vibe just right, but they do really well at F45. It feels a little bit like a blend of "the future" ― since there are screens displaying the right form, etc., but you also get the benefits of in-person interaction with the coaches and the other people in class. Super appreciate that they provide towels and massage guns. I like that there's a simple warmup and cooldown stretch incorporated. Feels very no-bullshit, get-it-done, and positive vibes. Only one single-person bathroom/shower seems a little impractical, but other than that I really had a great experience.

They gave me an email address. Sent email. Got no response. Stopped payment on credit card. Called gym again today. Person told me to find the original email so I can prove that I canceled on such and such a date. Cancelation policy is you must give 45 days notice so you get charged two months before your cancelation is effective. Not one cycle but add an extra 15 days so you have to pay TWO months. Said you still liable tor two months and it will effect you credit rating as they will send it to collections. With this type cancelation hassle, why join at all? Cant cancel over the phone or in person, have to send email which is not a great form of communications. They give you the email address which you may type in incorrectly. Non professional, snippy customer service, a testament to the lack of training where they are trying to cut costs and wrench every nickel out of their business system from customers and their own employees. I am a member of NY Sports Club gym and they have direct no nonsense pause and cancelation. You can call an talk to a person at the desk and get it done or call which I have done both.

Warning: This May No Longer Be a True Women's-Only Safe Space…read more I joined this location because it was advertised as a women's-only space, which was very important to me for personal, and religious reasons. However, I've noticed -- and discussed with a few other women -- that male clients have been brought into the workout area during scheduled women's classes, often as part of private or small-group training sessions run by coaches. This has happened in the same room where full classes are taking place, making the space crowded and uncomfortable for paying clients who expected a women-only environment. While this location doesn't require contracts, the membership is expensive, and it feels misleading to continue marketing the space as women-only while this is happening. If you are looking for a women's-only space for religious or personal reasons, please be aware that this may no longer be the case. Allowing this to continue without informing clients or giving them a say is not only inconsiderate -- it's ethically and morally wrong.

My partner visited Dream Body to learn more about their membership options, and she had a fantastic…read moreexperience with the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind, welcoming, and created a great atmosphere. The gym itself seems like a wonderful space, and the fact that it's women-only is a big plus. However, when she inquired about pricing, she was quoted $450 per month, which is very close to $500, for access to both their workout rooms--one for free weights and the other for weighted machines. That price seemed extremely high. They did mention a current special at $250 per month, which is more reasonable, but unfortunately, still beyond our budget. I completely understand that businesses need to make a profit, and people should invest in their health. However, a price tag of nearly $500 per month for access to both workout rooms feels excessive. It's disappointing because it almost seems like the exclusivity of being a women-only space is being used to justify the high price. A supportive, empowering gym should ideally be accessible to more women, not just those who can afford a premium price tag. If the pricing were more reasonable, I have no doubt this would be an amazing place to work out. Hopefully, they consider offering more flexible or affordable membership options in the future

It has a similar classes to Barrys, SoulCycle, or F45, but what makes it stand out is the setup, a large training center with separate rooms for different class styles. I love this studio i discovered last week. All classes are an hour and are very weights focused…read morewith daily rotations of different focus groups like abs, arms and back on Wednesdays for example. I started with the Solido class which was amazing and targeted glutes and abs. It literally flew by and I was sweating! Next I tried Savage, which rotated between 4 minutes of different weight training and sculpting moves and then 4 minutes of treadmill work. Their treadmills have handy guides for athletic levels and intensity and the incline and speed are easily adjusted. I liked this class and according to my Apple Watch, burned a TON of calories here, although I do not recommend doing this class fasted as jumping back and forth and the starting and stopping from moves and sprints made me quite dizzy at times. This class was on the first floor. Finally, I tried a Tonic class, which was very weights focused and had active breaks in between the working portions. This class was on the lower level of the studio. Each class has an instructional video ahead of time and moves demoed on the screens the entire time with a timer for the moves and timers to show your progress in the class which I really appreciated. The music in every class I took was always super fun and a mix of EDM, hip hop and Latin music. They also offer a spin class I believe called Stride and a boxing class called Jab The studio itself is amazing with lots of neon lights to set the mood, plants, tons of reflective details in the locker rooms and on the lockers and gorgeous seating in the lobby. The lobby has a bar with tea, coffee, some waters and pre packaged protein drinks. I do wish they had more of a selection of pre and post workout choices but I'm sure those will come! They let me know soon they'll be offering alcohol as well and free wine if you take a class on Friday! You get a hand towel for class and if you want to use their showers, they provide towels. The bathrooms are gorgeous and have amenities provided. Some of the best studio showers I've been in with plenty of room to hang your toiletries. The staff was super polite and outgoing and everything was clean and tidy. They even have a clothing shop with unique and cute workout sets from a Latino owned brand. I can't say good things enough about this studio and hope they expand their class offerings!
