I've been coming to Iron Lion consistently for about two years. I love that I get a new program every month and their scheduling tool makes it easy for me to plan my week, which keeps me accountable and I find I am missing far less gym days per week here than any other gym I've been a member of. I am in my final week of a six week introductory program and have nothing but good things to say about this place. There is a personal approach taken to address your individual goals and a group of incredibly kind trainers work with you to ensure that you are comfortable with the movement and doing each exercise in a way that will actually drive results. The trainers are patient and open to questions, which helps remove the intimidation factor I've historically felt in gyms. They are aware of your limits and will push you to them but not beyond to avoid injury and will provide modifications when necessary. I entered the program for mental changes over physical ones, but feel much stronger in both areas. I genuinely get excited to go to the gym now, which is something I've never said before! After many years of CrossFit and a few minor injuries I needed to try something new. Had heard a few good things so went in with my boyfriend (also a crossfitter) for an assessment. I hurt my back while at work about 5 years ago. I was diagnosed with bulging/herniated discs. I couldn't walk and have been in pain ever since. The chiropractor could only do so much as I developed arthritis in addition to the bulging/herniated discs as per my back doctor. What they do here is just as good! Training in a group setting with a personalized program that makes you feel like you're the only client there.
