Not really into their food, although I didn't try the wings... which are supposed to be their "specialty". If I go back, i'll try them and update this review, otherwise the food is below average to average. They are really cheap though, so if you're balling on a budget this is the place for you. The only reason I go here is for the drinks and because it's super close to where I live. You can't beat a $3 sex on the beach... granted there is an up charge for top shelf liquor. The waiters/waitresses here are always amazing... super friendly and chatty. Not everyone would enjoy that but I'm okay with it. Overall this is just one of those places you go when you want to be cheap and aren't really that hungry or if you live close by and want to be lazy... at least that's my take on it. read more

had to leave without eating lunch after waiting for 45 minutes for a burger with fries. One star for the lemonad.

When we got our food it was an hour after we arrived and 2/5 orders were wrong and one meal was missing. They took our orders again and 2 meals came out and one was still missing. When we finally got the last meal about 1.5 hours after arriving I finally got a refill on my drink and the manager had his fingers over the lip of the cup and there was a fly in the drink. We had to serve our own refills and find our own to go boxes. The food is amazing but the service is the worst I have ever experienced, and we had 3 waitresses and the manager serve us. read more

Had a great wing combo for lunch. The wings were hot and tasteful with a nice side salad. The manager stop by the table to inquire about the quality of the meal and the service. We will be back!! read more

I came in and sat myself in the bar area. I sat for about 10 minutes before my waitress even acknowledged that I had sit down. I also watched the bartender make my drink then let it sit before the waitress came and picked it up. It wasn't even that busy! I ordered potato skins and they were frozen. All in all, slow, unprofessional, inattentive staff. As I write this I am waiting for my waitress to pick up my check and close me out. Definitely will not be going to this location again read more

Regret regret regret!!! The name on the sign may say Three Dollar Cafe, but the service definitely did not live up to the name. I've been to several TDC and this one is the worst they're not worthy of your money. Don't give them the satisfaction of stepping foot in this place. Customer service was not good as well. How do you become part of a franchise but feel you can do whatever you want. I chose one star only because it wouldn't allow me to post without doing so read more

What a superb meal! The Shrimp & Grits that we ordered To Go was delicious! The server who recommended 'blackened' was so right about the excellent, peppery flavor. We ordered the side Caesar salad, and he also suggested the fried pickles as an appetizer. A perfect flavor combination! As a bonus, we were met at the door, as well as asked by four seperate employees, while we waited, if we had been helped, or needed anything to drink. What a great restaurant to have in our community! read more

Went and decided to sit at the bar. The bartender had a bad attitude from the moment we sat down until we left. Waited 20 minutes to get a drink when they weren't even crowded. The drink was good for the price you pay. I ordered the fish tacos and to my surprise they were really good. The Fish was hot and crispy and the veggies were cool and crisp. Very delicious. My husband ordered a burger and it was a burger nothing to write home about. The meat was kinda of dry and the french fries were cool. I'm use to moist and juicy but my husband ate it anyway. Next time I will visit a different location. Service is just as important as good food read more

Great food "OMG" the food here is so delicious with so many different things to choose from. My go to choices are the grilled or blackened fish tacos, they are to die for. And then the Pecan Bleu salad with a grilled chicken breast is amazing. My wife loves the lemon pepper wings (wet) and the fish sandwich grilled. The service is excellent especially Jessica aka Molly or Ericka. The drinks are stiff and the bill is comfortable if your on a budget. And a lot of tv's to choose your favorite sport or team. Last but not least the manager Jackie and the owners are wonderful. I love this place read more

ALEX had such a bad attitude after HE messed our order up, he acted like his job wasn't to serve us, he never once checked up on us asked if everything taste ok NOTHING, no refills either, and we ordered my 2 year old daughter a watered down lemonade she didn't receive that until we had to ask when our food got delivered, once he thought we were done eating he didn't ask if our group was together or separate, he just assumed and brought us one bill because he wanted the gratuity tip which definitely was not deserved. After we said we were paying separate he got even worse and said "well what did y'all Have" to spilt the bills up, we didn't even order much just some apps, and my bfs cousin was charged $1.50 for every sauce (tartor, ranch, and barbecue) so $5 in just sauces and they were the 2oz containers like whattt, anyways he stood there and waited for us all to pull out a form of payment and then left with our payment came back and didn't even tell us have a nice night NOTHING! Had to ask a near by server for boxes, we will never return had a horrible first experience and it was my boyfriends birthday I was a sever for 5 years so I definitely know how to treat my guess but I guess he didn't care about a tip. Wish I could give a 0 star read more

I love that they have $3 cocktails here! The Long Island iced tea is really good for only being $3. Their drink prices are really reasonable even if you don't get the $3 ones. We did not try food at this establishment, but the menu options looked really good. This location is very close to our house so we will definitely be going back more often. My boyfriend and I had a night out of drinks (cocktails and beers/ciders) and only ended up spending $58 on a total of 6-8 drinks. Definitely worth it. Our server was extremely friendly, attentive, and really made us feel welcomed even though we were the only ones sitting on the upper outside deck level. read more

The new owners of this establishment in no way know how to treat their guests. In fact I didn't feel welcome at all. The stone-cold faced woman began to yell at me because I tapped on the screen of their ordering system & yelling "why are you here, you no longer work here!"and the husband was quick to follow screaming in Korean at me and calling me crazy causing quite the scene in front of other guests. I simply told them I was there to order food. (I initially came to meet up with another former employee, however he'd already left- & unfortunately he receives the same type of scrutiny as I did- so I ordered some wings to go, which now I regret even doing that These owners, regardless of any situation should not treat their guests in such a manor. Three dollar cafe used to be the good, welcoming & care-free spot to hang out but I have never in my life been treated so disgustingly by any other person. After 10 years of my dedication to this company, I would expect a little more respect just as I have given them. read more

As many times as I have been here, I have yet to be disappointed. Whether I'm stopping in for a drink at the bar, dinner with my son or hanging on the patio (weather permitting) with friends, every visit has been been great. Plenty of televisions with a plethora of sports showing. A variety of drink specials...The bartender (her name escapes me) makes amazing drinks and her dry wit is hilarious. And the food....oh man the FOOD! I have tried so many of their appetizers and entrees. My favorite so far are the fried mushrooms, fish tacos, hangover burger and the shrimp and grits. I'm salivating just thinking about it. This will always be my go to spot. It's so comfortable here read more

No, they aren't three dollars, but the wings at Three Dollar Cafe are sooooo freakin' good! Nothing fancy, just plain ol' chicken wings fried to hot and crispy perfection, juicy and tender on the inside, just the right amount of sauce, and the absolute BEST (no, seriously) best bleu cheese dressing for dipping. Yumm. I've only ever been to this location, and I've only ever had the wings. Trust me... they are perfect. My favourite wing joint in Atlanta. Trivia on Wednesday nights... bonus! read more

Went here the other night for a late dinner, which can be problematic in most Atlanta neighborhoods. I ventured out at around 9:30PM. Most restaurants (outside the perimeter ones that do not serve alcohol) close at between 8:30PM to 10PM. So at 9:30PM you should concentrate on bars and pubs which tend to stay open late, especially on weekend nights (this was a Tuesday night). I walked in and sat down but it seemed as if no one either cared or took notice. I was hungry and impatient and after five minutes walked out. I walked around the strip mall / shopping plaza and found no viable alternatives. So I proceeded to walk to a nearby diner and discovered it was closing at 10PM (and the time at that point was around 9:50PM) so I opted to return to 3 Dollar Cafe. I am glad I did. The menu is relatively limited to a few items per category - which can be a good thing. But the menu design is lousy; it is hard to read in a darkened restaurant. I dealt with the awful menu design and opted for the Southwest Chicken Salad. My salad was basically a huge bed of romaine lettuce, black beans, tortilla chip strips, diced tomatoes, cold grilled chicken, and a side of Cowboy Dressing (but I opted for Blue Cheese instead). The salad itself was average but the dressings made up for that. Though nothing special unto itself, it is a huge salad - perhaps enough for two people to share. And the dressing serving / servings on the side are huge also. When the chef / cook delivered it to my table, he said something like, "You know you messed up, right?" He then explained that the Cowboy dressing is phenomenal: homemade ranch mixed with a famous gourmet sweet barbecue sauce. I think he said it was called something like Sweet Baby Ray's Famous Sauce. The guy wasn't lying. He brought me a whole serving of it to try (in addition to the Blue Cheese). It was excellent. So was the Blue Cheese Dressing but perhaps that is to be expected because this place specializes in Buffalo Wings. Perhaps this place really deserves 3.5 stars but on this visit I will go with four. read more

Living in Tucker, the restaurant choices are somewhat limited, so my husband and I decided to try the newish Three Dollar Cafe after taking a look at their menu online. Come to find out, this is a Three Dollar Cafe Junior. That means that they don't have all the menu items at this location. I'm not sure why it's a Junior, but I'm sort of a picky eater and was none too pleased when everything I liked online was no where to be found on the menu. We sat upstairs on a little covered patio. There were lots of big screen tvs. The service left some to be desired. This place has a lot of beer and since we were upstairs, we obviously couldn't see the taps (there's no bar upstairs), so we asked for a beer list. They had some trouble finding one and once they did, they kept trying to take it away from us! How does a place that prides itself on being a sports bar with a big beer selection not have enough beer menus to go around? I got the Caesar salad with added shrimp. I got the large portion but frankly, it seemed kind of small. I'm not sure if they gave me the small by accident or it was just little. It tasted decent at least. My husband had some sort of chicken sandwich that he liked, but said was extremely spicy and he's a big fan of spicy foods. All in all, we were not impressed. This place tries hard to be like Taco Mac, but it's just not. read more

food is great but SERVICE is so bad. I ordered a hangover burger and the server never asked how i wanted my egg cooked. when i asked management to fry my egg hard, i waited 10 more minutes and it was still a runny egg and my burger is cold! Highly Unimpressed - First & Last(!) Time We went there this afternoon for a business meeting, knowing that it's not going to be the quietest place but expected the food to be a Whole lot better than it was. I had the Chicken & Cheese and my business partner have the Steak & Cheese sandwiches. The roll was 85% of the meal, had to pay Extra for grilled onions and the bread was cheap and not very tasty. Maybe the wings might be worth it but I'm not going to waste my money going there again to try. read more

Three Dollar Cafe offers quick, inexpensive American fare in a casual, clean environment. Food: Three Dollar Cafe specializes in American cuisine, including soup, salads, sandwiches, and burgers. The portions are quite large, but can be deceiving. On my last visit, I ordered the pecan salad, which was mostly greens and little, if any, pecans. Nonetheless, all the ingredients were fresh. Service: Service is prompt and friendly, even during the busy lunch hour. On the one occasion I dined here, the hostess promptly directed us to seat ourselves and the waitress arrived shortly thereafter. Atmosphere: The atmosphere of this place is somewhat reminiscent of a sports bar with a contemporary twist. Clientele is diverse, but was mostly comprised of professionals on their lunch break. Price: Fairly inexpensive. Most entrees were less than $10. Other: The only thing that irked me about this place was the cigarette machine sitting in full view near the bar. It just gave me a seedy vibe and seemed bizarre, particularly considering a sizable proportion of the patrons of this place are coming from the nearby CDC campus. read more

Arrived 40mins prior to closing to place a to go order. Told by hostess to go to the bar to order. Waited 5mins with no acknowledgement from bartender. I had to get her attention just to ask about putting in my order. Only to be informed that the kitchen was already closed. Did I mention they were open until 10pm and it was now only 9:25pm? Staff was totally unfriendly and offered no apology. Do not recommend. read more

Can you say awesome wings?! The reason i only give you 3 stars is because the building itself feels old - has a smokey feel even though you cant smoke inside, and is a plain sports bar - which is just not my style. However, love that there are so many flavors of the wings - and they are cheap - great wing and football place! read more

Going out to eat is about the experience. Unfortunately, my first visit will be my last. I was treated horribly by my server, Mina. She rushed me through my meal and didn't address my issues. This place has a good meal in great prices. I was confused by name though. The atmosphere here is like a sports bar mixed with a casual hangout with your buddies. I had ordered the food chicken and cheese sandwich with tater tots, it was like a Philly cheese steak but with chicken, it was nice and simple chicken and cheese like the name itself. The tater tots was nice and crunchy and soft on the inside, it was the perfect tater tots. This was a great casual place to eat and hang. read more

The Three Dollar Café is a fairly standard sports bar with several locations throughout the Atlanta area. The one I visit most often is the Chamblee-Tucker (in the same shopping center as Kroger, where Loop Pizza was once) location though much in this review could apply to all of them. The appearance of the interior is decent enough. Given that is location was fairly recently built it doesn't look dated but it also lacks the charm of the quite less fancy original. One thing I must comment on is the temperature. It has been distinctly warm, uncomfortably so, during my last two visits. There is a dining area with high tops in the bar area, another facing outward at the parking lot, and outdoor seating is available on the roof. The view isn't so great, but on a cool fall or spring night it isn't so bad. The food is fairly typical sports bar food - burgers, chicken fingers and wings, a few different types of sandwiches and so on. I nearly always order the chicken fingers. They are quite good, the sauce is tasty and I particularly enjoyed the chunky blue cheese dressing. It is usually served with steak fries, which are quite unremarkable. A French Dip is available and is good, but not great. I did enjoy the homemade potato chips served with a hot blue cheese dip poured on top. The beer selection is fairly decent. It looked as if there may have been 20 or more beers on tap. The pricing here in range with other area bars. The service can be a bit slow. There certainly isn't any sense of urgency among the wait staff. It's not terrible, but about what one expect in a typical sports bar. It's certainly worth a shot if you live in the area, want to watch the game over beer and wings and don't expect to be blown away. Three stars for food. Three stars for service. Three stars for atmosphere. Pros: Decent bar food, decently priced, nice beer selection. Cons: Lackadaisical service and wait staff. Verdict: Recommended. read more

Terrible . These girls act like they can't answer the phone EVER for pick up , then when you get there it's damn near 6 of them standing around behind the bar and they act like the only person that can ring me out is the person that took my order over the phone . I don't just stand at the bar to be watchin you work nobody acts attentive to customers EVER . Its such a shame because the food is great but this location service is TRASH and has been trash for over a year . Bring some of the Northside Drive staff here ! read more

If you love extra crispy food (fries and chicken nuggets) sitting in a pool of grease then you'll love their food. I'm assuming that the mild "sauce" that appeared to be rubbed on more extra crispy nuggets was due to the same lengthy cooking process as my garlic parmesan nuggets sitting in a pool of grease. We were told baked wings would take 30 mins so opted for boneless wings that ended up taking 25 mins. Maybe that explains the extra crispy food??? Service was average dragged down by the worst $30 I ever spent! Never again! read more

The food and drinks were good. Service was absolutely a tragic disaster. The waitress was very rude and had a horrible attitude. She didn't refill our waters. We only had one menu to start because my friend went up and grabbed one herself. My drink spilled while she was transferring it to me and she said "that sucks" and said I would have to pay for another one if I wanted one. The manager did come over and her me another one free of charge. She barely came over to see if we needed anything and we had to wait forever or ask multiple times for sauces. read more

Wings the way wings should be! Take it from me, Three Dollar is the best of the best. My husband and I just ate Father's Day dinner at this location and we were incredibly pleased with the meal and service. We ordered 20 medium wings, all drums. They came out perfectly. Right temperature, right level of sauce, plump, juicy, crispy perfection. Our fries were great, too. I ordered squash casserole that tastes like an exquisitely cheesy dessert. Our server was Brittany. She was polite, attentive and kept our Diet Cokes full at all times. She took good care of us, joked around but most importantly made sure we were happy with everything. We're so glad this restaurant opened in our neck of the woods and will make this a regular haunt. read more
