GOSH WHERE DO I START!!! Salesman Gordon Wagner from Cherry hill sold me $11,011.68 worth of custom…read morewindows on 6/2019 After I ordered I was diagnosed with cancer and called to have the install and window purchased postponed. Gordon assured me it would only take 2 days for the install and he would handle it and the installers they used were very good and with him for 20 years. The installers showed up and put the door handle on wrong, cracked 2 of the windows seals so that the gas leaked out, put the screen door screen in backwards, door handle upside down, screen didn't fit, left a 1/8/ inch gap between window frame & wall so wind blew in, the seal between the panes had been broken during install and condensate forms between the panes of a large 6' x 8' fixed window. They have unsuccessfully tried to replace this since dec '19. They sent one crew out with the replacement window who took the window off of the truck left it on the street and told me that they couldn't do the job because the window was too heavy and they didn't have enough people, these were Pella contracted installers! They wanted to leave the window at my house and I don't have a garage so they were going to leave it in the backyard and get back to me at a later date. I told them they could not leave it out in my yard because it was the middle of a December winter and the wood frame would get damaged from the rain and snow.. they somehow got it back on the truck and said Pella would call to reschedule..They said that they couldn't install the window because I needed to have the entire 12' window/door/window ensemble that they installed replaced, they scheduled this for April 2020 The last straw is after several failed repair attempts and 2 previous reschedules they called me today to say that no one was coming to fix the window tomorrow, 6/25/20, because they were too busy for such a small job which was scheduled last April. Gordon Wagner the salesman has never returned any of my phone calls to help me out. I called my lawyer and he told me that Pella was the worst he had several lawsuits against them from other clients and that Andersen was the only good company out there anymore. Now they are telling me someone will come in August, that's over a year already after I paid them and purchased the windows. After several attempts to get Gordon to call me back he sent me a text saying he would call me back then another saying he was busy could he call me back. After no phone call back I called him, he said he was with a customer he would call me back I said you've told me before you would call me back and never did, he said he would and then texted me that he wasn't going to call me back because he was mad at me ..He then said He was DONE with me....nice.... UPDATE......Sent them texts from their salesman Gordon, do you think I'll get a message back? Probably not, They've disabled their message replies on Yelp because they don't want people to see how they're going to deal with complaints..... UPDATE: Gordon Wagner threatens me for sending him emails or calling him (mind you not his personal numbers, these are the contact numbers given to me on the contract) he sure was a lot nicer when he got the $11,000 check....see new photos last two and tell me if this is the kind of customer service you'd like to receive The photos speak for themselves...I've sent them an email as requested, let's see what happens

They simply gave me their best price-and I didn't need to sign a contract on the spot to get the "best" price. They are an honest, meticulous family business who truly cares about their customer. They respect your time and your home-from taking off their shoes as they walked around getting their measurements, to the installers who cleaned up after they were done. Ian and dad, Robert, were quick to respond to any issues or concerns I may have had. They even went a step further. When the windows came in from the factory, they had to be up to Ian's tough standards. I had one window that didn't meet Ian's expectations and he sent it back and ordered a new one-that window never even made it my house. They stand behind their product-both during installation and after. As a single mom, I felt like I was getting the best product for the best price by a company that stands behind their product and their service. I highly recommend them for your window needs-you will not regret it. Thank you Ian, Robert and Robin!

We were told it would take 4 to 6 weeks for the materials to come in, which was accurate. The challenge was the installation of the door by Ian's brother in law. There was a 1/2 inch gap at the top of the door on one side. When I mentioned it, I was told the manufacturer ProVia would have to fix it and they would call me within two weeks - no call after three weeks, so I called at 10:00 on the Friday before Memorial Day and was told to call back next week. Called Tuesday and received a call back on Wednesday saying they would check with the manufacturer. ProVia called on Friday to say it would be three weeks for an appointment- meanwhile the door would not lock, so I propped a door at night against the door. ProVia actually came out two days early and fixed the lock and molding but we were told the 1/2 inch gap needed to fixed by Energy Windows, so after another round of calls they finally fixed the gap. Frustrating experience and disappointing results. A little empathy would have gone a long way.

I had a window issue in my new home that I couldn't find anyone to help with. I contacted multiple contractors and different companies and it was clear my business was never important - I'd get ghosted for appointments, took months to get quotes, and more. I finally found Smart Shield and was contacted almost immediately after requesting a callback. The owner, Bryan, was so incredibly kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. He helped customize a plan for our home based on what would remedy our current situation and prevent future issues. The process to get started was easy (and very digital which earns extra bonus points in my book) and it was a few weeks until installation. The installation went great and I've never had an issue with the windows. It went so well, that we had Smart Shield come back and put in new doors for us, more window replacements, and replace our siding. While that was a bigger job, the process was just as wonderful. The team at Smart Shield is HIGHLY communicative. The installation crew are all lovely, respectful, and masters of their craft. They have impeccable clean up after as well! They are my first call whenever we need something done and will continue to be the only company I recommend. Smart Shield treats you like a friend and not a sales target and their work is top notch quality. Don't bother going to any other company - but be sure to tell them I sent you :)

The windows and door all look great and are a huge improvement over what was there previously. Robert was incredibly helpful with figuring out what I needed and answering tons of questions for me (as I evaluated ten companies and rated them all to determine who was the best one for the job). Smart Shield came out on top and did a great job! The installation guys were all incredibly nice and polite, especially Steve and Jimmy who came back on Saturday to finish after storms on Friday kept them from completing the job that day. I am incredibly happy with my new windows which are all clear and open and shut so easily that I have to remind myself not to push them too hard. My neighbors were so impressed with the job they did (and my spreadsheet evaluation) that they hired Smart Shield to do their windows as well. I highly recommend these guys!

I inquired on how long the job would take based on pictures I sent over, and he replied "an hour max, and it will probably be a couple screws and glue" Communication was OK overall. Lee contacted me on a Monday and asked for the address, email and phone number and asked about my availability for the remainder of the week. I didn't receive a response to my reply, so I had to follow up the next day. We were able to get the job scheduled for the same Friday and his team came to complete the project utilizing a lockbox we provided. I didn't receive any updates during the job, which probably would have helped the surprise of the invoice I later received that was $232.35 when I was expecting something closer to $100 based on our first conversation. Lee did promptly reply and let me know that they thought they would hit a stud but since there was nothing, the job was more complicated as they had to create the support. Overall, still a solid experience and I would still consider using Lee and Finest Fix in the future.

Nice people on the phone and they scheduled a person to come out and do an estimate very quickly. Paul was nice, patient with all my questions but during and after the appointment via email. He got me the estimate quickly and then came back out again to do exact measurements for the final estimate. Again, just very helpful throughout the process. Waiting for the windows took a while so I think we did end up waiting like 2-3 months between that visit and getting them installed which was the only negative of our experience. Installation team was fantastic. I think there were 3-4 people there. Ed was in charge. Just nice guys, we felt comfortable having them in the house. Cleaned up very well. Everything looks great and very professionally installed. Kept us updated with some random things they found (rotting wood) when reframing the windows. Again answered questions anytime we had them. On time both coming and leaving. Cost seems reasonable for what we got and from speaking with friends but I'm no window expert. Planning on having them come back out next year to finish the rest of the windows. Good experience overall.

It feels like a major home renovation. And in a lot of ways, it was -- the last three windows that Louie and Ameon expertly replaced for me turned out to be fully rotted around the frames, unbeknownst to me. As with the previous job, they handled everything with extreme care and attention to detail. The house was again spotless when they left. I felt like I was in great hands throughout. Cannot recommend Emerald more highly, but especially these two experts on their team!

Brookhaven, PA I'm going to make this really easy for you…read more Just read. As of 01/19/2026 Home Genius Exteriors Siding Job Complaints. - Salesman (first red flag) came out and showed us a bunch of different moisture spots, saying that 9% is bad - realistically, 20% + is actually bad, 9% is pretty normal. - We were told that the job would start with full teardown, then covering and insulation. When we saw siding on one side going up when the rest of the house was not touched we were very confused. We were told that there was 2-3 more laborers coming to take part in the process. We have not seen them. - Initial siding was removed on right - Driveway side of house - Found a spot of rotted plywood in need of replacement - Job allotted 4 sheets of plywood. Initially told workers I wanted that piece of wood replaced. When I found out it wasn't replaced, I had to call the project manager to have the insulation and wrap removed to have the rotted wood replaced. - Workers removed siding off the rest of the house. The PECO meter box was removed from the side house and now my house has little to no power in multiple rooms. The heat does not work. My family had to spend the night somewhere else. Electrician came and repaired the cable from the meter to the panel but electrician said my panel needed to be replaced. Which I've never had an issue with the panel until now. - Front porch light was working for the entirety of the job until the ending metal work and trim work was completed. Now the front porch light and doorbell camera do not work. I tried changing the bulb and that did not work. - In the kitchen, the exterior walls were shaken so hard that two "subway tiles" on my backsplash were shaken off the wall. the 3" quarts backsplash riser had some loose the entire length of the affected wall. The grout around the tiles is cracking and separating. - I was asked if i wanted a different light put on the rear entry door of the house. I have a light that I would have liked installed. I gave the parts to the project manager and ultimately they were not installed. - The amount of inconvenience this company has caused us with this job is absurd. We are spending upwards of $30,000.00 for a pretty house at the cost of a ton of issues. - Metal scrap and trash found all around my house. Driveway, porch, front lawn, back yard, opposite side of house. Blue tap-con screw found in driveway. Overall moderately poor cleanliness and pickup after a work day. Now there was snow during this project but the pieces i found were not covered by snow but laying on top. - Was told that crew would be out to finish up metal/flashing work on Saturday 1/31/2026 between 3-4PM EST - The crew did not show up. I told the project manager about this issue and I never got anything back about it. - Guest bedroom exterior wall was hit so hard that the spackle screw caps were blown off the wall. - Caulking, seals, and molding around the houses windows are cracked in the sense that they're separating from the original seal. - Dirty rag, hand warmer, bottle cap left on my property. - Walkway lights knocked over and left. - Oil spots in my driveway from their van leaking oil. Note - None of my vehicles that I own or lease leak oil. - Stray green wrap thread left hanging off the front bay window. Update as of 02/08/2026 - Was told house would be sealed, I see gaps all over the place - Found more screws, nails, and scraps left on property, as well as scrap wood from repairs. - Siding on my driveway side, rear of roof peak, is coming off the house. - More stray underlayment threads and parts protruding from the house. - Large gaps that water will get into and freeze in winter or soak in warmer months causing mold and rot. - Cracks found in installed siding in multiple spots. - Gaps found in window framing form roughness of installation. - Protruding underlayment sealed into place with final sealant. - Siding on the right side(facing the house) is waving - The Salesperson told us in person that waving siding is bad. This means incorrect installation of siding. - Rear portion of house(farthest rear side of addition) outlet capping is too far away from house and not sealed from elements, allowing water intrusion. - Electrician appointment made for Saturday 02/07/2026 was not followed through with. The electrician did not show up and the project manager cancelled his stop here, moving it to Monday, 02/09/2026 @ 5:15 PM EST. - My wife and I were told by the sales person that our old siding was chalking. This is a byproduct of aluminum and vinyl siding from UV exposure and aging. We were told that meant the siding was bad due to that, which is incorrect. That doesn't mean that the siding is bad, it means that the siding is aging. - The only way I am able to get in contact with anybody, about any sort of matter, is if I myself reach out personally. I have gotten no updates from anybody about this entire project, except for material/dumpster drop off, and start date.
