What a nightmare. I had read so many good reviews, they were misleading. I hired this company…read morebecause my gutter was leaking in one place and the previous gutter guard in one spot was also leaking. They came out when I was not there and said they'd take care of it. This guy Josh comes out, in a company truck, and works on my gutters. Now they are worse off than before he came. Now they are leaking everywhere. I spent over a month talking with him about how he needs to come out and make it right. After many communications he tells me that his only job was to put in gutter guards, and he is not responsible for the fact that now my gutters leak everywhere. He offered to give me some of my money back, kept making empty promises. I contact the company who tells me that he worked on my house without their knowledge and it is not their responsibility legally to fix it, but they'll "make it right" regardless. But I called the main line, I contacted the company for repairs, but they are claiming now that they aren't legally bound to help me because Josh worked without their approval, and therefore wasn't licensed. But this is the company I hired. This is the company I called. This is the company who sent one of their guys out. Now my gutters are trashed and they say they are not responsible for it. The owner's wife was nice at first but just kept making excuses which largely surrounded how they didn't legally need to fix my situation but they were just going to do it out of the kindness of their heart. I called you. I hired your company. I spent 2k to just have my house fucked up. My gutters pour down, everywhere. And she admitted it, she said he wasn't sanctioned to come out and work on my house. But he was still their employee. Look I'm sorry if your guy took jobs from you behind your back, but I hired YOUR company. What a nightmare. I've had excuses upon excuses since May. Don't hire this company, they are every home-owners nightmare.

Unreliable and horrible at communication. Please take the…read moretime to read this review before hiring. We initially hired Tom based on a recommendation from family who used his father a few years prior. During consultation with Tom Jr, we discussed to remove our aluminum awnings with the exception of the one over our side door, paint 2 sections of wooden fence and to patch the holes from the awnings and a few other small holes. We explained the gutters, soffit and trim would not need to be painted because they were only 2 years old. We told Tom Jr that we would schedule him after our bathroom remodel, as the siding would be patched due to a window being downsized. He insisted he would begin the job ahead of time and would return to paint the new siding. The job started in May with Tom Sr coming out to power wash the siding. Tom Jr was to return the next day to begin painting. After he did not show he texted my wife and told her the store did not have the needed paint, which was only a little over 5 gallons, and he would be there the following day. I had assumed he would've been prepared and ordered the paint ahead of time. The next day, he showed up late morning, only to spray everything that could be reached from ground level because he didn't have a ladder. He also began to paint the fence the same blue as the house, even though it was supposed to be white. Weather kept him from returning that Saturday. My house sat that weekend in 2 different colors. His crew returned the following week. They tore all of the awnings off, destroying all but one, which would not fit back over the side door. The "repairs" that they made were only smearing caulk into the holes. Blue paint was over sprayed onto the new white trim. They also rinsed their equipment into the lawn, killing the grass that still will not grow. Tom returned the next day and collected the the payment for the entire job to include an additional $200 tip for his crew. He agreed to do the touch ups when he returned to paint the new siding. The other work was completed to include the new siding in the beginning of July. Tom was contacted and said he could not return that week due to weather. Fast forward to August. After not hearing from Tom, my wife reached out. He explained he had a personal hardship and he would not be working for a period of time. We decided to be patient due to the personal matter. I contacted Tom in the end of September. He informed me that he was in the middle of a big commercial job that he could not leave until completed, and he would contact us when he could come by and promised before Halloween. I waited until the week before Halloween and called again, only to be reminded of the personal hardship again, but that he still planned to compete the job be fore Halloween. Here I am in the beginning of November and have not heard anything. The work is not competed and the most likely route is to pay another contractor. I would advise to steer clear of Tom and his horrible business practices.

Hi Tom, Those are…read morenot fake reviews from me. Those reviews are from local residents of a town that you publicly insulted. In fact, 85% of the house turned out fine, except for the side that we asked you to fix. You left us with horrible white paint stains. When you ignored my message, we decided to take matters into our own hands and repaint. We asked for professional guidance from another painter, they suggested you may have cut the paint with a different one, which is why the color did not match. We did in fact paint over your errors, we were not in fact home when you "power washed" and we are not fully satisfied with your finished job. Enough is enough with the name calling and threats.

We contacted a few different carpenters, including Chris, and asked them to come to our property and meet with us before submitting a proposal. Chris stood apart from the competition from the second he stepped through our door by bringing samples of different types of woods for us to consider. He also submitted a complete and thorough quote very quickly after meeting with us, and we agreed that he was the right person for the job. He came to our house for a second meeting before beginning the woodwork and spent a considerable amount of time walking through artistic details with us. From the time we gave him a deposit for the project to the complete installation, only a couple of weeks had passed. The speed with which the project was complete obviously provided a great sense of satisfaction but the workmanship on our pieces is unparalleled. When all was said and done, we ended up with multiple tiered planters and a pergola in our backyard, and a custom bench with built in planters and accent shelving on our roof deck. The final aesthetic of each piece FAR exceeded our expectations and has only managed to make us anxious to work with Chris again. Everyone who has been to our home since the installation has "oohed and ahhed" over the finished product and that includes people who helped build our house. To admire the carpentry that Chris created is one thing, but his professionalism and integrity really sets him apart from the competition. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for quality, customized carpentry and in fact, I would recommend people consider his services rather than purchasing cookie cutter pieces from local stores. Now that we know Chris' artistry and skill, I can think of many other projects we will work with him on from gifts to furniture needs and house upgrades.

Thank heavens my landscaper recommended Chris - I was skeptical, but was impressed that Chris showed up at my house 15 minutes after my landscaper called him. I really only used Chris because I trusted my landscaper. Having said that, my landscaper was right! And thank heavens I listened to him. The stairs are beautiful. Ipe wood stairs with a timbertech railing system. They look better than I even thought they would. And I had high expectations! The cuts were really well done - everything aligns perfectly and they feel very, very solid when I walk on them. Chris is, in his way, an artist. But I suppose all good carpenters are. I will use Chris for any other carpentry needs that I might have.

A friend referred me to HG Handyman Services as they had just done a complete kitchen and bathroom renovation for him and had a great experience. I called, the phone was answered on the 2nd ring and Henry, the owner was at my business within 2 hours to give me a free quote. It was evident that Henry was knowledgeable and a great fit for what I was looking for (guest bathroom flooring, new baseboards, new toilet, new vanity, new drywall, fresh paint). I was emailed a quote 4 hours later and scheduled to have to work done while my business was closed for vacation last week. I trusted Henry with keys to my business and let him know I'd be out of the country with family but he could come and go as he pleased as long as the work was finished by this past Monday. I was blown away that he texted me updates with photos of the work every day which left me at ease and had the work done much faster than expected. The work is beyond perfect in every way and my business was cleaner than when I left. In addition, he noticed a floor board in the front of my business that was coming up on one side.. he called it a tripping hazard and fixed it for free. He also adjusted my bathroom door as the door was rubbing when trying to shut and he wanted to make sure it was fixed. The best part of this experience was the pricing... I ended up paying just a tad more than the remaining 50% I was planning on paying the other contractor because HG was so reasonable. Needless to say my house will be worked on next and I'll be using HG Handyman Services again!
