Last night I visited with a group of 6 friends for some late night snacks. We ordered a handful of milkshakes, some small burgers, and fries for the table. Nice thing is that service was prompt and our food was served as quickly. In past visits when they were busier the wait time for food was much longer. But that's usually been ~dinner time when the restaurant is also otherwise impacted, so nothing out of the norm. My key lime shake was delicious. Warning: these things are HUGE. Split or be prepared to have an unproductive rest of your day. Fries are so-so in my experience, but honestly when you're gorging down other things like burgers and milkshakes, I'm not focusing too much on any kind of superior fry quality. I'd have shown you a photo, but it was so good it was gone before it came to mind to snap a shot. At restaurants I'm a "get one thing and only get one thing" kind of guy, and for me that's the double Texas Ringer here. If it's your first time, that's what I'd start out with and you can branch out from there on later visits. SOLID burger. Restaurant is generally clean, given the amount of traffic that comes through. The neon 50's (?) vibe is a nice touch to match with the food that's being served for an all-around experience that matches. And open late? Great for your late night dinner or dive food cravings!

It's lovely Italian deli a block away from Rittenhouse square, where they have a wide assortment of fantastic sandwiches. I chose the Vesuvius today and what a treat it was. Bread is fresh, chicken cutlet crispy on the outside, and great veggies. I've had a few other sandwiches here and honestly, you can't go wrong. Highly reccomend the Soprano and Gabagool as well. All are big enough that I can eat half a sandwich for lunch and another for dinner. The people working there are also very nice and friendly. Sandwiches come with a free bag of chips and the staff often hand out some delicious bread pudding cups. Highly reccomend this place. Just wish the name was a tad more memorable as I can never remember it lol.

WOW. If you are considering Tortice's for a sandwich, stop wasting time and just go for it! For…read moremonths, I have passed by and wondered what they serve inside without stopping in to see for myself. While trying to determine what I wanted to order for lunch last week, I took a look at the Yelp Page for Tortice's and saw some of the most mouth watering options ever. I could not decide between the Philly Special and the Rittenhouse. I went for the Philly Special because I was more in the mood for the sweet taste of a balsamic glaze and eggplant. I ordered my sandwich directly on the Yelp Page and it was ready when I got there to pick it up. The prices are super fair, I managed to get a drink and chips too for less than $25 for everything. The highlight of this sandwich was the chicken cutlet. I am PICKY when it comes to chicken cutlets. The seasoning here was absolute perfection. The portion was generous. I was full well past dinner time. The staff inside were very friendly and kind. I can't wait to return and try the Rittenhouse Sandwich next!

I guess its about $6.50 for a cuban sandwhich and $3.00 for a mango smoothie. It's fairly priced and the people are so friendly. It's a very welcoming place and I think things have changed since rose v's review because both women that I talked to that worked there spoke perfect English and they were really funny. I guess though, Spanish is the primary language as opposed to English being the language they speak first, but if they realize you can't speak Spanish, they're really accommodating. Parking on the street out front is always available. I guess, my only complaint is the location and the interior (and exterior) design, but whatever, I was there for the good food and friendly people. *FYI, this is a sandwhich place (if you didn't pick that up from the restaurant's name) so no rice dishes...

On street parking along State Road is there, but risky. The inside has a small eat in bar, grungy floors and several coolers with a wide variety of drink options. They have a self service lottery machine if your trying to get your fix out of the way while waiting for your order. The staff on both visits was incredibly nice to me. On my first visit the phone was ringing non-stop with orders, yet the girl who waited on me patiently went over the menu, recommended items and never lost her cool. On my second visit a guy I'm assuming is one of the owners took my order from the kitchen. He was very friendly. Food wise I tried two different breakfast sandwiches. Sausage, egg and cheese on a bagel with hot sauce and a bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel. They were huge overflowing portions, little greasy with decent flavors that held together well. The bagels were bland, but did the job. For a little over $7 a sandwich, I felt the price was a good deal. Overall, as another Yelper stated it's definitely a blue collar spot with good/average breakfast eats, a great staff, but the inside could definitely use some updating! Thanks so much guys!

I grew up on Mister Chubby's. My mom worked across the street from them and it became tradition to…read morealways get Chubbys if we were home sick, or for celebration. Chubby's has changed. Over the past few times I ordered, they always end up forgetting some part of my order, whether it be the order of bacon, or multiple times my grits. And if you call them, they just say to do some sort of convoluted "put in the message box for the next time", instead of offering to deliver it out like they used to. And just today, once again, they forgot my grits. Oh, and their chili is SOUR! So quality control is I guess completely gone in back of house, and front of house just tells you that they can't control that they're separate. You're a literal hole in the wall business, you can communicate with 'back of house' by turning your head to the left and talking through the open window. Fearful to order from them again.
