Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure

Different cheesesteak #1064 in the last five years. I finally found the grilled cheesesteak that I have been dreaming about for the last 4 years!! Grilled Cheesesteak on Potato bread, pretty freaking tasty!! $6.59!! 10:30 am. I just saw on google maps that they open at 4:15 am. You have to eat this sandwich right away, the bread was having a tough time holding up to the juice from the cheesesteak. I'm excited to go back and try a grilled scrapple cheese sandwich.

Literally the most terrible breakfast I have ever attempted to eat . Everything was soggy and undercooked. Highly disappointed. My boyfriend also ordered chicken and waffles and the chicken and waffles were also both soggy and gross . Neither of us could eat it . Waste of money ! I'm sad and currently ordering again from chick fil a like I should've done the first time .

Awesome little all day breakfast spot located directly across the street from CFCF Prison. They sell burgers and fries, cheesesteaks and all that good stuff too. Small inside with a great view of the grill so you can see the chef cooking it up! They're pretty busy as the phones were ringing non stop. Very courteous and the prices aren't bad either. I don't live nearby, but work brings me this frequently and I'll stop pass again for sure.

Way overpriced for an average sandwich. Sanitary conditions were mediocre at best. They were nice but I do not recommend going there

Between the music and the staff I felt very welcome. I'll start with my appreciation for the gentleman behind the counter who graciously and patiently answered all my questions ..... like what is a Mallorca (sweet fluffy bread that reminded me of a sticky bun and a danish put together), a Quesito, (flaky, golden puff pastry filled with sweetened cream cheese and usually glazed on the outside) and Pastelillos de Guayaba (made from guava, flaky, fruity and sweet with powdered sugar). It was neat to learn about some Puerto Rican sweets I was unfamiliar with. I was given a Dulce de Leche donut warmed up (as a reward I suppose), for my interest in the baked goods. That donut lasted a couple of seconds as it melted in my mouth. I grabbed a Mallorca with guava to go and a ready made sampler with 25 pieces of half mini Pastelillos de Guayaba and Questios for $30. The guys at work enjoyed them very much. The Quesitos were my favorite, the combo of the pastry flavor with the sweet cream cheese was delicious. Their breakfast offerings come on their fresh baked bread. I had a sausage, egg and cheese with hot sauce. It was around $10 and a skip lunch sized portion. I would repeat. Check out the menu I posted for more of their offerings. Everything in their cases looked good: cookies, donuts, cake pops, cake slices, tarts, turnovers etc. They also have an area called Toasty's Cafe with juices (mango, pineapple, passion fruit), coffee, over a half dozen different teas, etc. I'll definitely be returning to try more items and a Cubano sandwich on that fresh bread is calling me for a lunch visit. I really appreciate people who wake up early and have the drive to be patient and caring to their customers. I'm not sure of the name of the gentleman who helped me, but thanks for the education and great recommendations! Thanks guys and see you soon!

There is a squad of people working in the back and the owner was up front taking orders and helping out with the kitchen staff too. I didn't catch his first name, but he was extremely nice and helpful with the menu. On Wednesdays they have a chicken cheesesteak special so I tried that. They use real chicken breast that's finely chopped and added a lot of cheese. I asked for hot peppers on it and they added long hots which gave it a nice kick. It was a large portion and tasty! On my second trip I had their Original Italian - a mouthwatering combination of coteghino, Genoa salami, ham capocollo, pepperoni and sharp provolone (chopped, not sliced), tenderly placed on a sesame-seed French loaf from the finest bakery in the Kingdom and lathered with Fink's secret olive spread. I added long hots, lettuce tomato and onion. I wish I would have went sans olive spread as it was just too overpowering. The bread was awesome and the combination of meats was solid. I would have liked a sharper provolone. It was a good Italian sub, but not top tier. They have around 8 or so gourmet hoagies with local neighborhood names (featured toppings include roast pork, turkey breast, turkey, buffalo chicken, tuna salad, prosciutto, ham and roast beef) that I would love to try out in future visits. Prices seemed fair at $7.41 for a small and $14.82 for a large. If I'm in the neighborhood I'd repeat. It's always great to support a veteran and a super nice guy to boot. The girl working up front was about as patient and friendly as you can get. The vibes were good here and I enjoyed reading the food articles and seeing Mr. Fink's display area of his personal military items. Thank you for your service and for the good grub!

It's lovely Italian deli a block away from Rittenhouse square, where they have a wide assortment of fantastic sandwiches. I chose the Vesuvius today and what a treat it was. All are big enough that I can eat half a sandwich for lunch and another for dinner. The people working there are also very nice and friendly. Sandwiches come with a free bag of chips and the staff often hand out some delicious bread pudding cups. Highly reccomend this place. While trying to determine what I wanted to order for lunch last week, I took a look at the Yelp Page for Tortice's and saw some of the most mouth watering options ever. I ordered my sandwich directly on the Yelp Page and it was ready when I got there to pick it up. The prices are super fair, I managed to get a drink and chips too for less than $25 for everything. The highlight of this sandwich was the chicken cutlet. I am PICKY when it comes to chicken cutlets. The seasoning here was absolute perfection. The portion was generous. I was full well past dinner time. The staff inside were very friendly and kind. I can't wait to return and try the Rittenhouse Sandwich next!

I ordered a tuna hoagie and the only way to ask for no cheese and no toppings was in the instructions - plainly printed on the receipt. The tuna hoagie was of course loaded with onion, lettuce, tomato and all the things I did not want. We could scrape them off but that really isn't the point. The cheeseburger hoagie was not good at all. The meat had a funny dry, mealy texture. It was hard to choke down even a fourth of it. I asked for American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and yellow mustard. They made it their way, not my way. No mustard at all of any kind. I also asked for deli half-sour pickles but didn't get them. Maybe they're a deli with no pickles!! Okay, so now I know.
