We are starting our second season at Three Belles with our 40' convertible. It has become our home away from home! Everyone on the staff is friendly and very helpful. The lady in the galley makes awesome breakfast and lunch and at a great price. The yard staff all know your name and are always there to lend a helping hand when you need it. The general manager is a fantastic problem solver and has been an immense help to us. The grounds are very well maintained. The grassy area at the bulkhead is stocked with gas grills and the pool is clean and well kept. The heads are always spotless. The store is well stocked and prices are about the same as Defender. After hours the yard is protected by a gate that only customers can access. We feel extremely safe here at night. Located in Smith Cove, the marina is very well protected. Chanel entrance is well marked. No issue with boat wakes. As far as rules and regulations- we looked at many marinas before deciding on three belles- the rules here are no different than any other marina we looked at in SE CT. One of the best attributes of three belles is the people. Any stranger can take a walk down main dock on a nice summer evening and chances are you will be welcomed with great food and a cocktail or two. Or three. Bottom line- this is a fantastic marina. Contrary to a previous review, I would not ask a convenience store clerk about the marina, ask the marina customers! read more

I have been a customer at Three Belles Marina since 2006 when the present owners bought the marina. We have been at other marina's before this and have found this to be the most friendly marina. The staff is always there to help you, no having to look around for someone because they are short staffed. They have a wonderful little store and deli that is great for breakfast and lunch and little afternoon snack. The pool is always clean and well maintained. Bathrooms are kept exceptionally clean. There is a wide range of boat sizes at the marina. The rack storage seems to be booming. Pricing for your slip is VERY competitive, I know a lot of other marina's are more expensive than Three Belles Marina. The owner Toby is always willing to pull up a charge and have a conversation with you. It's not one of those marina's where nobody knows who you are and could care less. Yes, there are rules, and thank God for that. You cannot have a marina without any rules. Nobody would want to stay at a marina where customers, kids and animals run rampant. Rules are a part of life and there is nothing at the marina that you wouldn't find at any other marina. Bottom Line - I love Three Belles!! I would suggest to come on down and ask the customers that are there what they think of the marina, this is where you will get the truth. read more

When looking for a Marina for our boat, we were looking for a full service marina that offered amenities and services with a friendly staff. We found a gem that is situated on a nice quiet protected cove named Three Belles Marina in Niantic, Connecticut. With a great and friendly staff that is second to none is always there to explain billing, order parts, service boats, make a fresh meal or just snacks and ice at the galley, launch, retrieve and fuel up the boat all to make your experience the best it could be. They also have many social events that bring everyone together in a family friendly settings. The landscape is done very well on the grounds. The amenities are also very nice with a slips, valet storage, a trailer launch, kayak and paddle board rental, storage lockers, a pool, grilles, fish cleaning stations, very clean restrooms with showers and fuel. The Marina maintains a secure and peaceful place to come enjoy a day on the water and a nice quiet evening away from everyday reality. My wife and I look forward to May 1st so that our 25 foot Chris Craft can be launch for our new boating season. read more

I'm about to start my 2nd season at Three Belles Marina and couldn't be happier. While boat shopping I had the opportunity to visit almost all of the marinas in Southeastern CT and up the CT River. Prices were comparable, but the customer service, cleanliness, service knowledge, and other marina customers were unmatched at any other marina I visited. Everyone, including the owner, management, yard staff, and seasonal employees, has been knowledgeable, accommodating, and just so nice that I couldn't even consider looking elsewhere. There's a pool, a store with anything you might need, and a galley when you don't feel like cooking. The location is perfect for my interests. Three Belles is sheltered yet so close to the sound and all of the places I like to travel. I would definitely recommend this marina to anyone shopping around! read more

This was my first visit to Three Belles Marina -- I'm told named after the owners three delightful children. The marina is in a beautiful location. The amenities are spot on: lots of parking, nice pool, clean bathrooms, attentive staff, on-site fueling (yeah!), and super deli and equipment store. Everything you need, clean, and smartly done, but not overly fussy. Once out on the water, we enjoyed a day of tubing, touring, bird watching, etc. On the way back to the dock, I noticed many kayakers heading out and returning off a separate dock at Three Belles. My host told me that we could rent or buy kayaks at the marina -- all Hobie Kayaks, many set up for fishing! They even offer demos and lessons for fishing from them! I will definitely come back with my kayaking friends. Love this place! read more

I have had my boat at Three Belles Marina for the past seven years and I have nothing but praise for the entire hard working staff. I often go there with my wife, but at times with my daughter and grandchildren. Whether using the store, the gas dock, or the pool, the staff is always helpful. Questioners are sent out yearly looking for input on how to improve their service. Seeing the yearly improvements show that they take your suggestions seriously. I have had my older model boat serviced there yearly and have never had a problem. I had dealt with the previous owners and can honestly say present staff show 100 % improvement. I would recommend this marina to anyone who wants a family friendly atmosphere and great customer service. read more

I have been a year round customer of Three Belles for 7 years. This is a family run full service marina with family in mind. The pool is well maintained and never overcrowded. People are respectful of others and particularly children, so there is no drunken rowdiness that you might find at other marinas. The deli, maintenance and other servcies are all top notch. The staff is friendly and courteous with a focus on service. They realize we have a short season in New England and want us out on the water enjoying it as much as possible, so anything that needs repair is attended to in short order. Pricing is fair, which I view as a discount considering the attention I receive at this marina. read more

I've been a year-round customer since 1989 and think this is the sweetest spot for boating on the Connecticut shore. It is well protected and offers a large menu of destinations that are easily accessible. ( Montauk, Block Island, Newport, Martha's Vineyard, Greenport,the finest fishing in the Northeast, etc ) The amenities and the staff are wonderful. The deli and marine store are head and shoulders above most other marinas. A full service yard with gas, diesel, travelift and technicians is first class. Truly the best full-service marina in this area! Not only is it a great location (tucked in beautiful Smith Cove), but the staff is so welcoming and helpful! The grounds are kept in pristine shape and they have some great amenities like a swimming pool, numerous outdoor grill areas with picnic tables, a gas & diesel dock, a ships store, tasty deli, FREE WIFI, and Kayak rentals. We rented a bunch of tandem kayaks from Three Belles Marina while we were on vacation in Niantic. Adam & AJ were extremely helpful and the kayaks were top quality. We had a great day out on the water and the kids can't wait to do it again. The Marina has already made many recent upgrades and the facilities, including a new food Cafe, are wonderful!
