I have a backyard with a house, but thought it would be fun to take my Cocker Spaniel in for a quick wash here so she wouldn't be in the heat outside. We walked in and were greeted nicely until we asked to use the self-serve dog wash and immediately one of the gals asked if I brought my own towel which I thought was a strange question to ask for a self-service dog wash. I said no (again, it's a self serve dog wash - if I wanted to bring my own stuff I would just do it at home). And immediately after my response I was so rudely told I really need to make an appointment to use the dog wash (again, not a single customer in the store), BUT that I was "welcome" to use it since no one was using it, BUT I need to get my own towel, although there's a a dryer in there. I was so taken back by the rude brunette that said I needed an appt, that I headed right back out the door and told the gals I'll wash my dog at home. I went there at 3pm and it's 3:26pm and my dog is now washed at home and you saved me money. Just Wow... that's not how you treat people. As I was leaving out the door your other employee thought it would be helpful to remind me that Frys nextdoor sells towels. I've been to self-serve dog washes that not only supply towels, but are nice and also gives you things like brushes and combs. Just so you know I was trying to throw you some business and have a nice afternoon with my dog and daughter, but felt like I was bothering you three by entering the store. It surely will never happen again.

The room was clean and they saw us quickly - waiting only 10 minutes tops. The tech was awesome and the vet was solid as well. Didn't catch either of their names, but both ladies were patient, kind, and informative. We left with an anti-inflammatory as well as a recommendation to monitor the limp and come in for an x-ray if the issue didn't gradually get better. The Petco store itself was a pretty good size in a nice area of other businesses. They had a variety of animals for adoption as well as aisles and aisles of food, treats, training equipment, comfort, etc. The store was clean, their bathrooms were well taken care of, and the staff at the front table was polite.
