I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with a recent visit to Threads Hair Salon in Locust Grove, GA. What should have been a routine appointment turned into a genuinely unpleasant experience due to unprofessional behavior and completely avoidable discomfort.The braider assigned to me was a new stylist, which I understood and was willing to accommodate. However, from the beginning, she braided my hair with excessive tension. I communicated clearly and politely that the braids were too tight and asked for less tension. Instead of adjusting, she proceeded to braid even tighter. This was not only disrespectful, it was painful and dismissive of a basic request related to my comfort and well-being. I chose a Black-owned business because I believe in supporting our community, but that does not excuse poor service or disregard for clients. Professionalism & Respect, they were lacking during my visit. I will never return back and encourage others to be cautious booking with them. read more

Ok, I'm sold on Threadz Weave Salon! And I'm still in "Awe" of my hairstyle and hairstylist, Utebia(Teba)! Go Teba!! I got my hair done yesterday(Monday, 11-18-13), and am very satisfied w/ the results! I got an full enclosured inverted "bobb" w/ NO HUMPS or BUMPS!!! WOOHOO!!! Go Teba!! I'll admit I was a little bit apprehensive about going to a salon that I had never dealt w/ before, but Teba and her knowledge and skills made my apprehensiveness turn into pure satisfaction!! She is very welcoming, nice, and funny! Her meticulousness(which is a good thing), reassured me that I was getting the style that I wanted. My 1 1/2 hour drive all the way from L.A.(Lame Athens), was mos. def. worth it...NO REGRETS whatsoever!! I mos. def will be coming back to Threadz, although I will say that I would only want Teba to do my hair again(no offense to the other stylists though, even though Teba was the only one there). After looking up so many weave shops with a decent rating, I came across Threadz Weave Salon and I drove an hour to get to this salon hoping it will be worth it. When I got there I was greeted by two friendly women and I told them what I wanted and she parted my hair just the way I wanted it, after that this lady named Teeba braided my hair and sewed it in. She did a wonderful job. The only reason why I'm giving this 4 stars is because she put a net and sewed my hair in and after she was finished she carelessly cut the net off and some of my natural hair was cut off as well. For this salon to be in the "country" they do a wonderful job. I found them one night when I was up late googling Atlanta weave shops. I saw their pictures and became impressed. I made a mental note to try them out for my next weave. I'm accustomed to paying $200 plus for my install, so to see good work for less than $100, I was all over it. I'm also known to try new people out and take "risks," so I told myself if they didn't do a good job I would just take it out. One girl braided, and a girl named La La sewed it in. I was apprehensive, because we all know hairdressers won't face you towards the mirror until the end. I kept trying to sneak a look on my mirror sticker on my phone but that did me no justice. BUT once she turned me around I was pleasantly surprised. It turned out VERY nice/cute. Dare I say better than my normal weave girl! They instantly became my new weave shop! Everyone was nice and personable, even the owner. The only thing I will say, is that I wish it was custom for them to braid in a circle. They will do it, but it's $10 extra. But I guess for the price they are charging in the first place, the extra $10 won't hurt that much the next time I go. Good job:) *The four stars is because I don't know how the other stylists work is just yet, but it could possibly change to 5 stars in the future (although the owner did a head while I was there, and it looked good too.). read more

I discovered Threadz Weave Salon- Atlanta location- online and contacted them in order to do a walk-in in the morning and they were more than willing to allow same day service. I got my weave just before Thanksgiving and I am satisfied with their customer service- timeliness, upfront pricing, and quality, and care. Their frank attitude about expectations is appreciated because this was my first weave, I learned the details of the process beforehand with no surprises. I highly recommend Threadz Weave Salon- Atlanta location- to everyone, because their pricing is awesome as well as their customer care and quality of work. Disappointed!!!!! Threadz came highly recommended from a friend who has been going there for a couple of years now. Unfortunately it was far from the rave reviews from her or the many that I saw online. So I walked in the other day and was greeted by a woman who said hello then asked me what I wanted. I told her an open sew in. She told me to come sit down. She took my bag that had the hair I wanted installed and started combing my hair. She asked how do I like to part my hair. I told her to the side. She proceeded to place a part then immediately began sectioning my hair and started braiding. I was super surprised. No consult. Never bothered to see what kind of hair I wanted installed. Didn't asked me when I had last washed my hair or if I would like a wash first. I sat quiet. Now I gave a star because she braids fast! She would have been done faster if she didn't keep pausing with my hair in one hand to keep responding to text messages with the other hand. i was going to complain about the TV which was extremely loud but decided maybe it was better than the chewing and popping of gum in my ear. The stylist that was working on the lady in the chair next to me wasn't any better. She never spoke to me either. I watched as she sewed in the the other customer's weave. The other client soon after dropped her cell phone and both employees left it on the floor until the stylist was done and the client got out of her chair to pick it up. I knew then customer service was NOT to be expected. When the 1st lady-the braider was done she told me to get in the other seat which I did. She then packed her things and left. The 2nd lady-the stylist took out the hair to be installed from the bag I brought and began to sew. It wasn't until she was at the very end of the install that she asked me if the hair that I brought was human or not so she would know whether or not to put heat on it. I told her I wasn't sure, but thought to myself, as a professional couldn't you tell? I knew it was human but it sounded like she didn;t feel like doing much more so at this point I just wanted to go. I will say she can sew very fast so that's how this review got star #2. I paid and I left. Maybe I was expecting too much. *Sooooooo....what's the moral from my experience.Don't expect a consult so don't come wanting them to talk about your hair or what kind of style you are looking for. Come with your hair washed, clean and ready to braid cause they won't do anything but that. Know what you want because there is no price board and obviously nobody will take the time to explain to you their services. Know exactly what hair you have because they don't know. Bring earphones to drown out the tv unless you're in the mood for whatever they feel like watching or you want folks chewing gum in your ears. OH YEAH...Don't come with good clothes on...Neither lady ever bothered to put an apron on me nor the other client that was there before me, so I assume they don't have any. I had just came from work and had my uniform on. I was pissed to have my clothes full of hair and spray. What you can expect a fast braid down and a fast sew in. read more
