The threading pulls the hair out of the root! Can remove rows of hair, so quicker than removing one hair at a time! lol! More precise. It lasts about 3-4 weeks for me. If you have sensitive skin, (my skin gets red a little) do it a couple of days before your special occasion. She is across from Apple during the week and weekends in the Food Court. This was my experience from yesterday. I woke up with scabs on my eyebrow area now. I was in the mall, saw this place existed and thought I'd give it a try as I had a bad experience at my usual threading place the last time I went-she was distracted and took a piece of my eyebrow off, which was a little traumatizing. You can't see from the photo but the person who did my eyebrows missed a bunch of loose hairs, but it is what it is, I would prefer better for what I'm paying though. But the worst part is my poor skin. The photos don't show its extent at all; my poor skin is raw. This never happens when getting threaded. This is the first place I've ever been to, waxing or threading, that doesn't use moisturizer after and I guess that's what caused it. read more

3 years later I felt that I needed to update this review. The last review I wrote was about Afia, who no longer works there. However, I have not stopped going. It definitely took a few trail and errors before I was blessed by Karma, but once I found her I knew I had to keep her. Durning the pandemic I did not get my eyes brows done until Karma came back to work. She takes the time to get to know you, she has great conversations and time after time again your eyebrows will always look perfect. This women really cut my eye brown wing off and made them thin and not even the same size I would of gave a 1 but service wise she was nice but terrible at her job. First off 12$ for eyebrows and to expect a tip is absolutely INSANE. The place i go to is 3$ i give her 6$, she massages my eyebrows puts lotion AND does an insanely good job & does as i ask her. (i was far from the place i go to & needed them done, this was the only place close to me) The lady who did mine was very nice but made them way to thin when i specifically told her just to clean them up and not to make them thin at all. Overall, the Threading Station is quick and efficient - even if there are people waiting, there are usually at least two people working, so the wait is never long. The prices are fair and what you would expect. Like any service, it is good to have a regular person you go to - that way they get to know you and you're more satisfied since you know what kind of job they do and what to expect. (I've asked one or two employees for their work schedules so that I can stop in while they are there.) So if you become a regular, I recommend picking a regular there as well. Whenever I've stopped by for my eyebrows on their off days, I've never had such a negative experience where I've been unhappy with how my eyebrows look. Some people are a bit more precise where others might miss one or two little spots, but no big deal - if you ask, they'll look again and clean it up. Mostly, I try to time my threading for when I have errands at the mall, so I'm glad the Threading Station exists here. read more

I have been coming here since I was 16 years old. I am now 23 years old. I have had experiences where I walked out not so happy, but yesterday really took the cake for me. I contacted the actual place itself, I contacted another website to put my feedback, because apparently there's no way for people to get in touch with somebody when we are trusting the so-called company in this mall with our eyebrows . I walked in, and the woman said that my right eyebrow was perfect which obviously I know it's perfect. I've been coming here for years it better be perfect. She proceeds to tell me that my left eyebrow has a piece where there's a piece with no hair growing mind you I'm so glad that she didn't even touch that piece because there was no hair growing there because it's an arch literally she was trying to chop off my arch anyway the so-called perfect eyebrow she said she wasn't going to touch she touched it and completely killed my entire eyebrow. Basically it's missing the entire front box action she chopped off pieces at the bottom she chopped off unnecessary pieces at the top when we were done and she asked me if I liked it I looked at my eyebrows. I looked at her. I don't know. I hate it. What is this she literally stays quiet has no response for me because even she knew she did wrong but what does she proceed to do? She proceeds to walk me to the counter to have me pay after I told her I'm not paying for some thing that I don't like if I'm giving you $15 I better be walking out with what I expect like I have every other time. I don't care if you're new I don't care if you're old if you choose to mess with somebody's face then you better be really good at it because if you don't, you're going to end up with the repercussions of it, a lot of people come to these places to feel good about themselves. Why am I walking out and having a severe anxiety attack in my car because the people didn't know what customer service is. The list can go on and on and on I'm still waiting for someone to this day to contact me because it's ridiculous that I had to pay that amount of money for someone who supposed be license and experienced. Yelp saves the day!!!! I have had caterpillars for eyebrows (attractive, I know) for the past couple months because 1. I haven't had time to get my eyebrows threaded 2. It's scary when you move to a new state and need to trust someone new to take care of your eyebrows... but at this point, I just needed someone to do anything with them. Amy SAVED ME! I walked in and thankfully it was empty, so no wait. She took her time and made them look BEAUTIFUL. It was $12, which is ridiculously affordable compared to how much I used to pay at my old threading place. Also, this was the least painful threading job I've had in a long time, so I also appreciated that. At the end, I couldn't stop staring at my eyebrows because they looked like they were drawn on. We may be in the middle of nowhere (yes, it is true, I Am Sorry) but we have access to beauty. I'm happy to report The Threading Station has expanded. They are no longer a simple stand alone cart. Eyebrows are treated to the finest of luxury... in the Smith Haven mall. Multiple locations exist, but the marquee spot is down by the foot court. I was surprised to learn a full menu of threading, waxing and blow outs are available. (Eyebrows are $12 for threading, $15 for waxing. A Brazilian wax is only $45! A blowout ranges $25-35 depending on length.) Brightly lit, the space is decorated nicely. read more

I usually have 0 problems when I come here but yesterday was different. I walked in and two ladies were working, neither of them got up or said anything when I walked they both just looked at me as if I was inconveniencing their free time. Anyways, after she did my eyebrows and I went to pay (I paid with card and I know that it's cash only tip so I had cash prepared). She said "You can't put tip on card" rudely as if she was demanding it? It's MY DECISION whether or not to tip you, not a requirement. Anyways, I woke up the next day and was looking at the mirror and noticed that my two eyebrows did not match AT ALL. One is shaped like it should be and the other is just missing the very end and rounded? Waiting to go back so I can see that same lady again to complain in person. read more

I'm going to preface this with the fact that it usually hurts to get my eyebrows/upper lip threaded just cause those parts of my face are sensitive. However, the only pro is that it didn't hurt. Might have stung a little, but not as much as other places. So that's the only good thing about this place. Now to get into the cons: Prices, Shape, Understanding. Why is it $12? Who knows, but the standard in Manhattan is $7-$8, in the Bronx/Queens/Brooklyn I'm sure you can find places that are $4-$5. WITH CARD. And a free threading after 9 visits. So I think this place is a total rip off. I was just running out of options/time so I decided to check it out, and it was a big mistake because of my next points, shape and understanding. I asked her to just clean around the eyebrow because I love my eyebrows natural thickness, and I told her to leave the shape as it is. She did neither of these. First she made one eyebrow WAY thinner than the other. And one angular and the other rounded. I had to even it out myself upon coming home. Now I have to wait months until they grow out back to normal. Will suggest you stay away from this place, at least the one in Smith Haven mall near the food court. read more
