After a day out with friends for a BBQ and chill out by the bay, I was a little worn out and keen to get a little coffee action thrown my way. The problem was I wasn't really willing to drive into the middle of Redcliffe to quell this desire.
Someone pointed out that they had though they had seen a coffee shop on the esplanade nearby but wasn't too sure if was a mirage. So I went for a little walk to see if was true.
After five minutes spent walking I saw an aqua green storefront with the words Thread and Seed and the magic word coffee. I walked in and was a little surprised by what I had found.
A clean and rustic looking interior with a handful of occupied tables with people enjoying a caffeine drop. Also there was a lady sewing right near the cash register.
I went up and ordered a flat white and looked around at the interesting creative arts that adorned the walls and shelves. It was definitely a place that I did not expect in this part of Redcliffe.
I got my drink and walked out amazed by the uniqueness of this little venture. The coffee I had was pretty good. Apparently they'll be getting their food licence soon so that might make this place a great spot to visit next time. read more
