I was very, very pleased! Wilson is a stand-up guy. He and his crew are such hard workers, often putting in 10 hour days to get my roof done. I had been looking at metal roofs for some time. There was a house just a block from us that had a beautiful metal roof that I was especially attracted to. I spotted the owner of the house out in his yard one day and asked him who had done the work. He said Honest Abe Roofing had. I talked to him at length and he seemed quite pleased with the results. So I had in mind then I would probably call Honest Abe Roofing first. I did a few patch works on our roof the next few years but problems were mounting faster than I could keep up. 2011 was one of the wettest springs in record and the problems the roof had were magnified by the shear amount of rain we had. When during dinner one night water began to drip off our light fixture I told my wife, "We will either need to call a roofing company or the fire department when the rain sets an electrical fire." I called Honest Abe Roofing the next day. As the rain showed no signs of letting up we were really under the gun to get something done and quickly. Therefore Honest Abe was the only one we called. Much like your furnace going out in freezing temperatures you really don't have the luxury of time to gather bids and talk to customers of competing companies. We had to move on this. Mike Frey from Honest Abe came over on a week night and showed us work they had in their galleries. He was quite personable and easy to talk to. I had some very specific things I wanted in a metal roof and he and his team were accommodating throughout the process. I wanted the entire roof stripped down to the base sheathing. I wanted 19/32nd. plywood on the flat and screwed into the existing trusses. Any wood that was deemed dry rotted needed to be replaced. Each of these things were done. As it turned out the roof was so warped in areas that they had to put down a 2X4 grid work before attaching the metal. They kept to the original bid price even though this was certainly an upgrade from the original plan. They also tore down all the old guttering and replaced with new guttering and down spouts. Several soffit panels and fascia needed replaced as well which they did. Once we got our financing in order which took about a week it seemed like it took them no time to get started. I had told Mike that I thought the existing roof had about 3 or 4 layers of shingles on it. As it turned out I counted 6 or 7 different types of shingles in there scrap piles and the roof even had cedar shakes underneath the shingles. The team that showed up to clear the roof did all the work in about a day and half if memory serves me. It was an incredible amount of debris that they took off the roof. They kept close tabs on the weather and had about a 4 day window of opportunity to get the new roof put on. As it turned out they put the new roof on in about 3 days and the 4th day just did a few odds and ends. Not even a full day. The last two days it looked as if it was going to start pouring down any minute. But alas it never did. I think from the time we called Honest Abe to the time we had a new roof was less than a month. My wife and I have been very pleased with our new roof. I always listen for rain entering the attic but have never heard any. Nor have had any signs of this on closer inspection. Sometimes Gemma my wife will come inside and tell me it's raining so hard out. Really? I can't even hear the rain in most cases on the roof. Unless we get a torrential down pour you really have to listen for the rain hitting the roof. I suppose it's quiet because everything is so well pinned down. It's been 4yrs now and we are still pleased with our roof. I wanted to give Honest Abe Roofing 5 stars for a job well done and fast. But my wife thought they were on the high side so she wanted to give them 3.5 stars. I thought they were high too but since we didn't get any other bids then we don't have absolute proof of that. I have talked to quite a few home owners that have had similar roofs built for much less. But we are still quite pleased with our roof. Hopefully on our next big project we won't be behind the eight ball and will get multiple bids and talk to customers of competing companies. We would definitely recommend them to other home owners and have on several occasions.

I was told 2 times I was scheduled for repairs and took the day off work and no one showed up. When I called in the afternoon a gentleman said I was not on the schedule for the day. So 2 days pay lost because HONEST ABE lied to me. Nobody will ever return calls if anything is changed or they decide to even call back in will update. Customer service is seriously lacking. I was working with Allison.

Mark came and had to cut out 3 partial walls and re-route frozen plumbing and his work was impeccable. You can't see where he cut and then reconstructed our brand new drywall. He also vented our microwave that was installed without a vent, as well as mounted our dishwasher to our cabinets (we have heated concrete floors and Quartz countertop, so he had to mount to my cabinets.) I'd highly recommend him for any job you need done. He did this with a very reasonable rate.

After several attempts they failed to fix it. I called Poplar Roofing and explained my situation. They came out on a Saturday three guys they worked about an hour and a half replacing everything that was damaged and making sure that it was completely rainproof and laying new shingles and the price for this was zero. Yes they charged me absolutely nothing for the supplies or the labor!!!
