Could they maybe just hire one person who's moderately competent to work the front desk?

I was very happy with my experience with Roadrunner for a roundtrip between Simi Valley and LAX…read more My domestic flight was leaving at 7:30 am and the reservation system for the shared ride suggested a 5:45am estimated arrival time. I wanted to arrive at least 2 hours prior to get through TSA and to have a decent breakfast before the flight, so I overrode it and requested 5:15am arrival. My confirmation call informed me that my pickup time would be 3:45 am which seemed extremely early, but I accepted it because I could not afford to miss this flight. The driver was a friendly gentleman who arrived on time and got us (picked up a 3rd passenger) to LAX around 4:40 am (no traffic jams). On my return trip, I only waited about 5 minutes for the driver after I made the pickup request call. I was the only passenger and the driver was very friendly and nice. The vans used for both trips were clean and seemed fairly new. I picked Roadrunner over Uber/Lyft because I wasn't sure I can trust some random driver picking me up around 4 am. I picked Roadrunner over Prime Time Shuttle because Prime Time outsources their service to Uber/Lyft (see aforementioned concern).

I always hate how dusty and dirty my car is whenever I park at the LAX long term parking lots. I'd much rather prefer getting some work done on my phone while letting the Roadrunner staff drive me back and forth. Their drivers are really nice. I always tip them well. The website is easy to work with, and I prefer using that over calling, but my wife prefers calling customer Service because she says they are always really nice over the phone. Whatever works for you.

The new $349 million dollar busway that links Woodland Hills with the North Hollywood Metro Rail…read morestation needs work. Sure, this weekend was the first public running of the "superliner" buses and it was a free ride weekend. The crowds turned out to give the "bus that rides like a train" a spin. After several weeks of dry runs you would expect fewer kinks. We boarded the 60 foot long bus at the Warner Center Transit Depot and then waited for 10 minutes for the tech crew to figure out why the doors would not close. After we got underway I set my timer. The political propaganda promised tax payers a 14 mile trans-Valley trip of less than 30 min. The Metro guides say 42 min. The actual time 68 min. (less a 5 min wrangling when a wheelchair got tied up in the safety belt system) the return trip took 58 min. The majority of the trip is on a "bus only" roadway free of car traffic. The Metroliner does have to stop at several of the 36 signal controlled intersections and the wait seems longer than normal. Considering this is an all new road surface, the ride was awfully choppy. From the center flex point of the bus there is no view of outside and apparently the air-conditioning doesn't work either. Many people were complaining of the warmth inside. I moved closer to the front and felt a nice cold blast of air. The sideways seats SUCK! You sit above the wheels and have a limited view of where you are going or the multi million dollar landscaping installed along the busway. On top of that you have to step up and let your feet dangle over the edge. It is a chore trying not to kick people standing in the isles. There is no announcement of stops like on SF Muni system. So if you are the unfortunate passenger that has no outward view there is a chance you won't see your stop. On a good note, lots of people turned out to ride today. Maybe some will become regular riders and hopefully we will indeed see some traffic relief on US 101 because of this new route. I just wish LA leaders would look at SF and try a little harder to find a better mass transit solution than buses that act like....well buses.

The Orange Line would connect the West Valley to all of Los Angeles County. Orange Line's First and Last Stop is Warner Center Transit Center in Woodland Hills. Warner Center Transit Center/Hub is located on Owensmouth and just near the Westfield Promenade. Orange Line times will vary on the day/time There is only one Ticket Vending Machine. I thought there was two before, but they have removed it or I am just imagining it. Warner Center is a hub for all other Metro Lines to meet in Woodland Hills. There will be an expansion to the Orange Line coming very soon. I am not sure if Warner Center is still the last stop since the Orange Line Extension will move north. Once a while, I get on the Orange Line to grab a movie at AMC Promenade 16. Just let someone else handle the driving and stress. For $1.50 one way or $5 Day Pass, its still much cheaper to get anywhere in Los Angeles than buying $4 per gallon gas. Yelp is My Review, My Story, and My Life. Its time to share it.

Saw there was a LADOT DASH bus waiting at the train station, which runs every 15 minutes around Reseda. No WiFi access is available on any Metrolink trains while the Amtrak has it for Business Class seats. Beginning July 1, 2025, you can buy a day pass ticket for unlimited travel across all Metrolink lines at $15 weekdays, $10 weekends! Note: Be careful, please check the Metrolink schedule to see whether the trip is worth your time for waiting at the Union Station for nearly two hours on the way back to the Northridge Station. For example , when I arrived at the Union Station at 2:45 PM, I found the next available train to the Northridge is at 4:30 PM. That's a challenge from LA Metro and Metrolink to attract more riders to take a public transit, instead of driving.

I genuinely had no idea I was in the right spot even though they had a sign up that indicated train arrivals/departures. There seems to be ample parking in the area and you can either book your ticket via the Metrolink app or on the self serve kiosk at the station. I believe there are shuttles that take you to/from this station as well since I noticed a ton of students and presumably faculty getting off the shuttle. The train itself is pleasantly clean and air conditioned, which was a nice change from the weather outside. The bathrooms were also very spacious and clean. I was on a double decker plane so I naturally gravitated to the second level. It was pretty empty despite it being a weekday afternoon around 4-5 pm and it was quiet and peaceful. I was able to get from Northridge to Union Station in considerably less time than if I drove there. Overall, please take public transit whenever possible! This even takes you to Burbank airport! It's a fun and quick ride and so much better than sitting in traffic. (35/100--2024)

My daughter loves it and it really helps us go across town without spending so much money on gas. The downside with public transportation like this is you don't really know what types of people may join you on the trolley. Sometimes it's young groups of teens heading to the outlets, other times it's just nice people heading somewhere but sometimes it's uncomfortable homeless or disabled folks who need more assistance. I'm okay with this though because really, it's a short ride and everyone has a right to partake in the trolley because the drivers are In charge and they have rules! Some drivers are super nice and wait for everyone at the stops, others drive way too fast and skip stops if you don't pull the lever to let them know you need to stop. But overall, it's so fun for my daughter and it helps you walk around Camarillo to discover all the fun shops and places this town offers! I'd recommend at least one try on the trolley, but sometimes it's too full to take on more passengers! They really should get 2 going at this point. But I'm thankful for the ease and fun it has brought to us.
