This…read moreQuikTrip location consistently has some of the cheapest gas prices in town -- cheaper than Costco, Walmart and Woodman's or even $.30 lower than other standard stations. That's a win considering the times we're in now. They have 10 gas pumps stations and with their prices I'm shocked it's not busy with lines whenever we come to fill up. The station is newly opened as of a couple of months ago and inside their convenience store it offers a large selection of items. You can order food through their in-store kiosks, and they carry everything from hot foods and snacks to lotto tickets and everyday convenience items. There deals on a sub and drink for $8 if you purchase through the app and many other hot food deals. Prices are marked up and what you'd expect from a gas station (I wouldn't come here for the $8 milk), but there are some great deals--like reasonably priced coffee for $3 and $1 donuts after 3 PM. The roller grill options like egg rolls, hot dogs, and taquitos are also affordable from $1.29 - $2.99. One standout feature are their premium drink stations. The modern self-serve selection is impressive, with a wide variety of coffee, sodas, slushies, and teas--it feels much more high-end here than your average gas station. The bathrooms are located toward the back/side, are easy to access (not locked), and are clean, which is always a plus. They also provide comment cards if you want to leave feedback. Tip: Download and use their app for additional savings when ordering or getting gas. Overall, this is a solid, modern gas station that actually feels higher end but with the lower gas prices. Stop by and your gas tank will thank me later :)

Running errands out in the suburbs is always a good time to check the gas gauge to see where it's…read moreat, since it's often significantly less expensive the further out into the suburbs you get. This gas station is located in the corner of Busse Road and Addison Court and it's pretty small--I think four tanks total, so it can't accommodate a lot of cars. There is a small convenience store attached to the place as well. They're not open 24 hours--on this stretch of road, that would be a great way to waste money during some of the overnight hours--but are opened 5 am to midnight. Armed with my trusty Gas Buddy app, I found this Gulf station within a couple miles of where I was. I know many people roll their eyes at chasing gas, but this was 35¢ cheaper than the station on the corner less than a quarter mile away (which was about on par with the others around, give or take a nickel). It was also about 70¢ cheaper than the three gas stations within a quarter mile of my home in the city, so we'll worth filling up since I was a a quarter tank or less. The place is small and it's often busy as a result of it's size and being the cheapest within a mile or so. I have to confess that when I went for gas when gas was trending over $4.50 (in the suburbs, even!) it was so busy that I did go to the BP (the aforementioned gas station on the corner) which was 20 cents more expensive, because the line to get into the Gulf was three cars deep into Addison Court to even get into the Gulf lot. Timing can certainly be of the essence here!

There are something like three locations…read morelocated across Chicagoland and all three have the best pricing on gas when pricing surfing those against competitors. The gas lot is small and if it's a busy hour, the wait can be hard to decipher and time consuming but for that wait you can possibly save up to 20 cents a gallon when compared with stations closer to your home. Why decipher? Well, the lot was not created to draw in customers that are waiting in some sort of line. You'll have to pull in as best as possible not to block those trying to leave and gauge the situation without losing your temper. The gas station also has a mart with few kitchen staples. Some video gambling. Vape and glass hookah instruments for sale. The station exterior doesn't offer much on a regular basis. I.e. paper napkins for checking oil, window washing fluid or pumps that get cleaned regularly. Their pricing is better than the gas stations associated to bulk stores like Sam's club and Costco.

I created this account today after years of choosing not to for the sole purpose of writing this…read morereview, It is about Speedway Team Leader Tina! Today I was passing through the town of Elgin, Illinois. I stopped at this Speedway to grab a beverage and a couple other miscellaneous items. I travel a lot for work and will be in law school in the spring. I have a minor in hospitality management. I spent years bartending and serving, managing, and also working in retail. Customer service is very important to me, I believe it is a true art. What Tina did today was incredible and I was almost floored. After I grabbed my items I walked to the register, two employees were standing behind the register and two guest were in front of me. One employee seemed to be responsible for cashing the customer out, while the other perhaps was stocking items. When It became my turn to pay I was just standing there, no one said a word to me. Internally I was about to get frustrated because the two employees were standing right there and had just assisted the other guest. Also, I have trained and mana hundreds of people in customer service, a simple "I'll be right with you," goes a long way. Before I could think about it any further I see an employee who perhaps was in the back office area look at me and immediately hop up and come right up to me to for assistance and to cash me out. This is who I now know to be Tina. She didn't hesitate, think twice, or continue to do busy work when she saw a guest/customer ready to check out. The natural urgency and attention to detail was incredible, and truly appreciated. To make it even better, there wasn't a long line forming, and there were two workers standing right there. But that didn't matter to Tina, being a professional, doing her job to perfection, and ensuring the guest/customer was promptly taken is what mattered most. I could feel this deep in my soul because I lived it and loved helping others. In an hour of life where most people do not want to do their job or do the bare minimal to get by, professional customer service such as Tina exhibited is very hard to come by. So I want to say thank you Tina for being great, and doing your job great as well. I must mention that because of this great customer service I became a speedway reward member for the first time ever. The little things make the big things, and are actions have a ripple effect into our tomorrows and into eternity! Thank you TINA for being you! I would hire you as a district manager immediately and put you over 6 stores. Again Thank you Tina, and thank you Speedway!

It's a comfortable place to stop, whether you're just grabbing gas or heading inside. What really stands out is the selection. They've got a wide variety of snacks, drinks, and food options, way better than most gas stations nearby. Everything is usually well stocked too, so you're not stuck with limited choices. Overall, it's just a reliable, quality spot on the east side of Elgin. Great service, great selection, and a much better experience compared to other gas stations around.
