Firstly, I was never contacted by a provider with my first test results for my pregnancy until I reached out to your office myself. This lack of internal communication was concerning and made me feel like my health was not a priority. Secondly, I had a concerning issue with my thyroid that I asked to be tested for, but it was forgotten during my lab work. I had to come back to the office for another blood test and was charged for an additional visit, even though it was your mistake. No one took accountability or even apologized until I came in person to talk. Thirdly, I had billing issues with your office charging me twice for a bill I had already paid. It took me weeks to get it resolved, and it caused a lot of unnecessary stress. Additionally, it was difficult for me to reach a provider as I had to convince the front desk to leave a message for the doctor since there was no other way to contact them. Overall, I do not recommend your practice as I felt like I was just another business transaction and not a person. I am leaving your practice to find better patient care that values communication, accountability, and patient needs.

He has about the most professional and kind bedside manner I've ever experienced with any doctor, let alone an OBGYN. I came in after noticing some irregularities/symptoms so it wasn't an emergency visit but I did have a lot on my mind and he was completely patient with me, explained possible causes, logical tests/exams needed, and possible treatments. The exam portion wasn't awkward at all really and start to finish it was just a very informative and comforting visit. The office staff was friendly - they had me talk with a nurse when I called to address my immediate concerns and set clear expectations for my visit. Overall great experience!!

She called my Dr's and told them to stop all my medications including medication for Epilepsy because after seeing me two times she was worried about liability and not what was in me "the patients" best interest. I was left with no primary during a very serious health crisis and all three Dr's who she called could not believe what she was doing and saw no reason to stop my medications. All I can say is my Doctors that I still see to this day always comment to me every time I come in they could not believe what this DR. did to me in trying to cut off my medications without fully understanding the scope of my other conditions that I see specialists for. Recently at my annual appointment I was waiting to use the restroom which faces the support staff cubicles. The wait was rather long as there is only one restroom. I had the "privilege" of overhearing how they feel about their clients. "Oh, I hate the perimenopause ones- IM FAT AND HAVE SYMPTOMS BUT I DONT WANT TO GO ON MEDICATION AND GAIN MORE WEIGHT". "THE NEWBIE GYNES ARE SO CUTE WITH THEIR STIs." I was stunned. I went to the restroom, came out, and Dr. Plawyer's nurse was waiting for me. I told her of the incident and she said "I'm sorry to hear that" and then went over my med list and medical history while I'm on the verge of tears. I finally stood up and said "I'm leaving." I did receive a voicemail apologizing and saying it was addressed. However, as a nurse for the past 10 years I understand on a deeper level that the comfort they felt talking about patients at work indicates a culture of not respecting their patients. When we go to the doc we want to feel heard, be taken seriously, and be met with empathy and assistance. I no longer believe this happens at this clinic. Find a clinic that doesn't mock their patients.

I'm one of those women who had an issue with male gynecologists. In fact, I have limited myself to…read moreonly women doctors for over 30 years. My reasoning was, why would anyone take their car to a mechanic who never owned one? Then menopause hit. I tried to suffer through it (hot flashes, foggy thinking, weight gain, aging skin, aches, pains, headaches, etc.) on my own for over a year, then realized I needed help. After putting many hours into extensive research, I decided to try hormone replacement therapy ("HRT"). It's difficult to find the right doctor for HRT, especially in the city. Creams didn't work for me and, since so many of my friends were raving about the pellet therapy (hormones inserted under the skin), I wanted to give it a try. I tried to find a woman in the city who offered pellet therapy, but had no such luck. I found Dr. Lloyd's website to be very detailed and thorough. He was one of the closest doctors to offer HRT pellets (he's in Skokie), and a phone call to the office provided me with detailed information regarding costs and procedures. The staff was very nice on the phone, very helpful. I waited a month, still tried to find a female, researched some more, and finally broke down and made an appointment. With a male gynecologist. The first office visit was what you would expect - about as fun as a root canal. When describing my symptoms, I tearfully told told Dr. Lloyd I felt like I was getting Alzheimer's. He said he hears that from women my age all the time. He promised he could make me feel better. I was skeptical, but desperate. And, Dr. Lloyd wasn't arrogant or aloof, and he didn't exhibit any other negative traits I've come to expect from male doctors (even though his vast experience, extensive medical background and scholarship in the area of HRT treatment and women's health places him in the "expert" category). Dr. Lloyd's friendly bedside manner, along with his attentive, non-condescending demeanor, made me feel as comfortable as possible during the thorough physical examination. Afterward, he went over the benefits and risks of HRT and answered my numerous questions, again, explaining everything in detail. I scheduled lab work and made a second appointment to receive the pellet (if the lab work indicated I was a candidate). The day of the appointment arrived. Once in the office, things moved along quickly. Dr. Lloyd inserted the pellet under the skin on my hip. There was no pain. He said it would take about 4 weeks for me to notice any difference. It actually took a few days. AND WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I felt (and feel) a hundred times better! I just received my second pellet. I wish I'd visited Dr. Lloyd long before I did. He has helped me so much, and he kept his promise - I no longer feel like I'm suffering from dementia. Best of all, I found a great, reliable doctor, one with whom I feel comfortable entrusting with my health and body (in spite of the fact that he's a man). I never thought I'd recommend a male gynecologist, but that's exactly what I'm doing. Dr. Lloyd is well worth the trip to Skokie. I highly recommend him and, if you knew me, you would be shocked.

After having a completely terrible…read moreexperience with another OB very early in my pregnancy, I went online and googled "best OB in Evanston" Dr. Warner was at the top of the list. After reading a bunch of other reviews, I switched my insurance over to her and never looked back. She is knowledgeable, patient, responsive, honest, and every other positive thing you'd look for in an OB. I was almost 3 months pregnant at our first visit and reeling from my previous terrible experience with Dr. Herriges and his practice (that's a whole other story - feel free to read that review if you want to know what not to look for in an OB). She answered all of my questions, helped my icky feelings fade away, and put my mind at ease in a matter of 15 minutes. She helped me get my very limited medical records sent over, reviewed my results from those tests and let us know that everything was going well thus far in a matter of days. Throughout my pregnancy, she never cancelled an appointment, was extremely communicative, and kept me confident that we could totally do this. Her office has a nurse available to answer questions M-F and they call you back promptly with answers to your questions, no matter how silly the questions may seem. On to my delivery, which was unplanned to a degree. Our babe was breech, and we tried spinning babies exercises, moxa, acupuncture, and nothing worked. We made the decision to try ECV, for which Dr. Warner referred us to a MFM specialist. On the day of the procedure at 37 weeks and 2 days, things did not go as planned that Dr. let us know we would delivering that day and that Dr. Warner knew and she'd be over as soon as she finished with one other patient. Holy. Crap. Well, Dr. Warner arrived, made sure we understood what was happening, walked me into the OR, soothed my frazzled psyche with some deep breaths and her ultra calm demeanor, and we were on our way. Dr. Warner truly is the best OB in Evanston, at least she is the best one for me. I absolutely adore her and her team!

It typically took an average of 3 attempts to get through because the voicemail message would keep repeating, and then when someone finally did answer, they would put me on hold and either forget I was there or else disconnect me. When I was finally able to get through and leave a message for the doctor, he would return my call in 3 days ... 3 weeks ... or not at all. Equally frustrating, whenever I came in for an appointment, the doctor would typically be running 30 ... 60 ... or even 90 minutes behind schedule. The final straw was when I needed Dr. Grinblatt's signature on a medical form. To expedite things, I hand-delivered it to his office. He was busy with a patient but the receptionist assured me it would be taken care of. It was not. "I never saw the form!" he insisted. So, I made a special trip to his office to deliver the paperwork and a postpaid envelope a SECOND time. Once again the doctor was busy, so I handed it to his nurse and explained the situation. But the second set of forms mysteriously vanished, too. This is no way to run a medical practice.

His staff first weighed me like they were in a hurry and was wrong by 10lbs. I weigh myself every day. When he came into the room, I explained my concern and all he did was feel my lower abdomen asking me about pain which I said yes in some spots. Then he gave me a pap smear and prescribed birth control pills (which only suppressed some of my pain) . The appointment took only 5-10 min and he didn't explain anything to me like what may be the problem or didn't request for any tests. I left the place as clueless as I came. Not to mention he literally told me I SHOULD LOSE WEIGHT AND CALLED ME BIG. I'm not even obese. I am 150lbs and 5'5 and fine with that.
