I have been buying gas here for years, partly due to their no fee ATM. It was a convenient place to grab snacks and cash. Thus, I would always buy gas here, even though it might be a little bit cheaper nearby. They recently installed a fee based ATM, so I will not go out of my way to shop here anymore. read more

Thorntons sits directly on Charlotte Pike near the River Road intersection and is your basic gas station, however it is a little rough around the edges...but I guess that's just it's character? Nothing special for a gas station, pretty small location with majority of the standards you look for at a convenience store. However, I have found that they do not have dairy products, so if you are in the need for milk on the fly, make sure to pop over to the nearby Walmart. Not that I go in search of milk at a gas station often, but when that chocolate milk craving hits, you pull up! The store is decently stocked, but again due to size, they have limited options. They do have a solid beer cooler, so I like that they prioritized the beer! The store has been here for a while, so the wear is visible inside and out, but for the most part it is kept clean, which helps. One thing that surprised me about this location is the constant security they have. For a gas station that isn't city center, there is a lot of action here as just in the past week I have witnessed one person get arrested out front and another be ran off. The nice thing about Thorntons is it is the perfect place to go when ALL the Kroger Gas pumps are in use and have someone waiting. (Which is pretty much all the time). Thortons on the other hand has gas for the 3 cents off Kroger Plus card price without the Kroger Plus card. The only downside being that it's a couple miles away from the Kroger Gas. If you can get past that, it's a great place to fill up with a minimum of hassle. read more

Was in the parking lot with my friends after buying gas and snacks from the gas station sat there for a few minutes and was looking at a group chat with other friends and the guy came on over the intercom saying " metro will be here in 15 minutes anyone still in the parking lot will be fined. Laugh at that." Looking directly at my car. The situation could have been handled better. The pump's key pad didn't work the last two times here. Grrr. I love the location, but they need to update the pumps.

Open 24 hours a day. They almost always have the cheapest gas in West Nashville. Cold sandwiches & snacks may be less expensive at the nearby Walmart, but for hot dogs come here, 2 for $2.50 is still a great deal at any time of day. They have tons of gas pumps and there are usually 2 or 3 cashiers on duty so it's a good place to come if you're short on time. The staff is quick, professional and, with one exception, cheerful and friendly. The one exception is, unfortunately, the current manager. Having said that, and perhaps I've done something unknowingly to offend him for which I will never be forgiven, the staff here is just great! So... If you're anywhere near, at any time of day or night, and need fuel, coffee (Fill ANY size thermos for only $1.08!), snacks, or whatever else... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND stopping here. I live close to the Charlotte Pike location so I always buy my gas there. I fill up 2 time each week and always use a card to buy my gas to receive my bonus points and save time by not going inside fo my receipt. The last 4 times I filled up I've used a different pump and all 4 times the receipt despencer is empty. The inconvenience is, now I have to go inside. Really love this place. Gas is cheaper and attendants are so helpful AND love the coffee station that I used to come to daily for a long time. It is easy in and out from Charlotte. So if you are coming from Bo Jangles or Jim and Nicks and Walmart and then need gas, you can take back streets and then get gas and head to Bellevue or Pegram. If you are coming from those areas on Charlotte, you have to turn left and wait for the light. As I said love the coffee but they have easy take away meals and lottery and Red Box. It is usually clean, I can't say always, because, I don't have anything to complain about and don't remember. Again Gas is cheaper and is easy in and out. Good coffee and nice takeaways. I cannot believe how rude someone can be and still be employed. We stopped in for drinks one afternoon. The cashier didn't acknowledge us upon entering the store and when we approached the counter with our purchases, still did not acknowledge us. She appeared to be messing around under the counter- texting? Unsure what she was doing, my husband addressed her, "ma'am?" And as hateful as possible, she responds "I see ya!" After another tense moment of her doing whatever she was doing with her hands under the counter, she rang up our purchases. There was a little bit of an error with the card reader and the cashier didn't bother speaking or offering assitance. I even had to ask her for my receipt. She didn't say "thank you," "go to," or anything. So I took my receipt and told her to have a better day. I did call to corporate to report this and the representative on the phone seemed concerned, but I never received the follow-up phone call from the store management. I guess I'll shop at one of the several other convenience stores in the area next time. read more

FIRST pump did not let us change the payment method. Moved to a SECOND pump and it would not let you get more than 1/3 a gallon before shutting off. Tried three times and it did the same thing each time. Moved to a THIRD pump and the keypad wasn't working. The FOURTH said "see cashier". We just left and went to a Shell about two miles down the road and had no problems there. Not worth my time or money. read more
