I stayed at the Gaylord opry resort so the walk here ( Is a bit (if you don't have a car, the walk is ~0.6miles one way). At least you get kind of a workout in for the day, 30min walk one way depending on your pace and traffic. They have bathrooms too which is often used by passerby travelers filling up on gas. He had change in his hand and was getting ready to pay when John, the "store assistant," gave him a demeaning look and asked where he got his money. Disgusted, I asked John why that mattered and told the man to grab whatever he wanted from the store, and I'd pay for it. John didn't like that. He refused to let the man take anything more and only allowed him to leave with the coffee and donuts he already had, giving them free of charge just to stop me from paying for him. Then, John refused to sell anything to me or my girlfriend. He set our candy and drink aside and wouldn't let us buy them. The customers behind us tried to pay for our stuff, but John wouldn't let them do that either. Then, he refused to sell them the alcohol they were trying to buy. The customers walked out, cussing him out (rightfully so), and John cussed them out in return. When we asked John for his badge or ID number, he refused to give it to us. His badge says "store assistant," but he claimed he was the manager and said he didn't care if we reported him because he'd been there 7-8 years and everything is recorded. It's two days before Christmas, and John treated the homeless man with pure disgust and hatred. His behavior was heartless, mean-spirited, and petty. What kind of store allows someone like this to represent them? This is exactly the kind of behavior that destroys any faith in a business.

Kwik Sak, as far as location, is a fairly convenient spot to pick up whatever items you may need. It's near several banks, and it's right between Inglewood and the lower East Side. The wife of the guy who runs the place runs some sort of beauty racket, and there are always signs posted about hair supplies or manicures or something. I suppose the place is pretty "kwik" as far as service goes, but I've also found the staff to be a bit "kold." They often talk on their cell phones as they're ringing me up, and while prices on cigarettes, beer and otherwise are pretty standard, the people who run the place always seem like they couldn't care less that I'm even at the place.

For those who know Love's, you normally expect a large sprawling parking lot filled with copious gas pumps, a bright and expansive interior with many bathrooms, etc...along with all the goods of a truck stop gas station. Sadly, this Love's is a small version of that major Love's stop you are familiar with. There are not enough pumps and the lot is way too small for the amount of traffic that comes in and out. It is really nice to be able to swing right off the interstate for some gas, but you have to be careful as the amount of trucks and standard traffic doing the same can be overwhelming at times...and there isn't a lot of room for mistakes. I will agree with the other reviews about the interior being well kept and well clean. I did appreciate that, and the service from the counter was not bad.
