Pumps seriously need to be serviced. You either have to only use credit, go inside or just don't get nothing.

Murphy Road Service Station

Sylvan Park

I'd been gassing up at the Sylvan Park Shell station for years not really paying attention to the…read moreservice station, or the deli, that comprise this little complex off Murphy Road. But when I needed some serious car help, these guys stepped up big time. I was spoiled growing up to have a father who doubled as my mechanic, and so it was hard to trust someone else with my baby. I'd had the same car since I was 17, and I wanted to keep her around as long as possible. They guys here helped me to do just that. They are honest, up front, and do not BS you about your vehicle. You many not always like what they say, but they aren't crooks. They will tell you exactly what you need done and what they think you should do. They are going to be a bit more expensive than those one-hour-oil-change places but you won't have any issues or complaints after they take care of your car. It's a smaller shop so keep that in mind when planning to drop your ride off here: it will take a little more time but again, you can't beat the results. I can honestly say I wouldn't trust anyone else in Nashville with my car. And if they couldn't fix a problem, they could refer you to someone who could. That happened when I needed a muffler, and they referred me to a fantastic local guy at Batey who did an amazing job. Thanks to them, I was able to keep my older car running for years before needing to get another one. And they are still kind to me anytime I come by for gas. They are good to you and will remember you and help you if you give them the respect they deserve for their hard work and honesty. I would recommend them to anyone who wants not only excellent customer service but good, old fashioned trustworthy service. No one else will put their hands on my car so long as I live here.

Why? My guess the owner is comfortable with his monthly absentee payment... people do have the…read morepower to chance it, this is just a local store, boycotting is a real thing. Down and up the road are two other stores, convinced for the owner only. This is awful. What the employee with the blue hair told me When I told her politely the bathroom was out of toilet paper and that the previous person flushed the hand paper towel down the toilet and I managed to flush it but it was about to get clogged if they didn't refill the paper she replied with the ain't mine don't care attitude and continue to eat her food. It'll be her problem when she has to use it and she can't. Same with you who pays for gas, grad a couple of snacks and drinks and the "convenient store" isn't convenient anymore... uff what if that food didn't settled well and can't hold it to you get home and need some of this ... I bet you won't stop here as your rescue place anymore... I'm glad this was not my scenario but what if it was! Boy, would the CareNow next door take me as a patient? ... Anyway, now you know. Time is ticking. Choose wisely.

Half the pumps don't work half the time and the other half they are just out of gas. Hellen Keller could of designed a letter parking lot I spend more time doing 10 point turns then I do getting gas. Not to mention all of the lumps are just dirty. Quite frankly the only good thing about this gas station is the homeless guy who sometimes holds the door open for us.
