This isn't a casual medication -- missing doses risks irreversible vision loss. I called ahead at noon, spoke directly with a technician, confirmed they had my drops in stock, and was assured one would be held for me. I confirmed twice. My doctor also called earlier to make sure everything was set. I arrived promptly at 7:15 PM, only to be told they had nothing on hand. I patiently explained that I had spoken to someone earlier, gave my name (Lee Robinson), and asked them to check. For 30 minutes, I waited while they attempted to reach the technician I had spoken with. Understandably, mistakes happen -- but what unfolded next was unacceptable. For the next 45 minutes, I begged for help identifying any nearby location that could fill my prescription tonight. Instead of providing clear answers, the staff simply rattled off Walgreens locations without providing addresses or verifying inventory. When I asked which stores were open late, they vaguely pointed me to a few -- but again, no real help, just dismissive answers as if I was interrupting their evening. At no point did anyone -- especially the head pharmacist, Tanya -- show even basic empathy or urgency. I wasn't treated like a patient, or even a human being. I was treated like an inconvenience. Tanya repeatedly ignored my questions, avoided eye contact, and carried on with other refills while I stood there desperately trying to ensure I wouldn't miss my medication. Walgreens -- you are in healthcare. People don't come to you for fun. We come because our health depends on you doing your job. I didn't choose to have a disease that steals my sight. I didn't choose to rely on these drops to stay alive, functional, and able to see my kids grow up. But your staff made it abundantly clear that my situation wasn't important enough to warrant even minimal effort. The complete lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic human decency displayed here was disgusting. Walgreens, you should be ashamed. I will never return to this location.
