I had a small issue with the rear bumper on my Ford Explorer. It had also caused some paint wear on the inside edge of the tailgate. The Ford dealer wasn't much help and told me it probably would cost a couple thousand to fix. Decided to check these guys out. The Manager, Steve, was very helpful and personable. He very quickly pointed out what the issue was and said it was an easy fix. Much better than the dealership. They were booked for a couple weeks (a good sign that they do good work). Steve got me set up with an appointment. They work with Enterprise rental, so the day of my appointment I was able to drop off my vehicle and Enterprise picked me up there and brought me to their location to get the rental paperwork taken care of. Two days later my vehicle was done and I was able to drop off the rental there for Enterprise to pick up. The bumper issue was taken care of and the tailgate was touched up beautifully. They even gave me a small bottle of touch up paint if I needed it in the future for anything. My insurance covered it minus my deductible, but the total was only a fraction of what the dealership said it would cost. If you need ANY body work done on your vehicle, you would be a fool not to check the guys out. Very highly recommended!

After a few days, I received a phone call from Bob saying that everything was finished. I was shocked to hear that it was done so quickly, considering they had to order the parts for the vehicle. I came in to pick it up and was again shocked to hear the price. It was significantly lower than what I was expecting. He also took it upon himself to fix the recall gas peddle on it. Which is a consumers right. When picking up the vehicle some issues were identified that the quality of repair was substandard The tailgate operation needed to be corrected with an adjustment went out of their way to make this inconvenient so I completed it on my own The spray in liner was only partially sprayed, the seam was a mess and looks terrible !!! The seam in the truck bed looks like a bad scar. These are the reason I disputed $550 of a near $13000 repair! Now in retaliation for asking them to fix it Irwin is refusing to honor their warranty, their work or even speak about it anymore! Had Irwin tried to repair the issues I would have completed payment when work was corrected. At least my insurance was a reliable source and are paying for a respray of my entire bed. While waiting in the waiting room, I overheard an employee sticking up for one of their customers regarding a price quote he got from what sounded like a part distributor. The distributor wanted to pass on a significant price increase for shipping to the customer. The Forrest Howes' employee was respectfully pushing back and felt this was not right for the customer and the distributor should not do this as he was previously quoted a lesser price. I couldn't tell the details of the conversation, but it just made me feel like the place could be trusted and had integrity. It's always nice to see a business truly value their customers. It was reassuring to witness as I'm not from the area and needed a mechanic.
