We missed the street that takes you to the park twice, when we finally found the place it had ample parking available. There is a playground which was packed on the Sunday afternoon that we visited. The restrooms are located next to the playground and were relatively clean. The park offers plenty of shade and was well maintained. There was a small outdoor gym where I saw 1 person utilizing. I saw people playing catch in the open field and several people were walking their dogs. You can walk, run or bike ride on the trail. There is a very peaceful area that over looks the river where we took pictures. We were able to get in several miles and more than my required steps for the day. I look forward to coming back to Amerson River Park.

The park is maintained by the Rotary club but the trails are paved and easy to follow as well. There are also some benches scattered throughout the park, so you can relax and enjoy the scenery. I love that this park is so well-connected to nature, so many different species of trees and you can see the creek everywhere. For…read morefifty years this land was home to Chester and Rose Evelyn Minor, their children, and one grandchild (me!). Chester and his two sons built the brick split-level themselves. Rose maintained a large garden many of those years, and the yard was studded with fruit-trees. The house survived two floods that destroyed the contents of the basement, but the flood of 1994 swamped the house in 5' of muddy water... high enough to flood the upper split story in a foot of water. The damage was too extensive and the property was sold to the government so that it could become this lovely little park. Enjoy!

They accept card and cash. Pool have different lanes and depths. Depths ranging from 2 ft to 6 ft. The staff said that to enter the deeper ends they'd have to watch you do a swim test. Life guards posted on each end. They seemed to be diligent in watching kids. There are no chairs, tables, or shade. You're allowed to bring your own. They have the chair to assist handicap people as well. You are allowed to eat and drink, but you must be five feet from the pool. There are no concession. Every 45 minutes there is a mandatory 15 minute break. They blow the whistle each time to alert you if this. They have bathrooms and showers but we didn't use them. I'd definitely recommend it.
