Very knowledgeable and helpful. Always willing to help if you have questions but doesn't hover if you want to just browse and check the guitars or banjos. I used to think Rich in repairs was great too until I brought in my Martin guitar last year for repairs. It had got to dry and the top cracked. Rich said he would need to humidify it to start with then he could make the repairs. He did also mention that there had been a lot of guitars brought in for the same problem and it might be 2 or 3 months before I get my guitar back. No problem. I checked back about 4 months. Not ready yet. I checked back about 6 months and he said the repair was made and he showed me and explained what he had done done and that he just needed to complete the finish on top. It's a black guitar. He said it would be about 2 weeks. No problem. I checked back in about 6 weeks. Not done. He said probably 2 weeks again. I checked back in about a month. Still not done. In total he had my guitar for 14 and a half months. I just got it back today. I didn't see Rich. A lady came out to see me then she went back to see about my guitar then came back to the front and located it on a shelf. She said it was finished. I asked why I hadn't been notified that it was finally done as Rich said he would do. She told me that a voicemail had been left for me. I am certain I did not receive a voicemail and I also checked with the repair area that they had my correct phone number on 2 separate occasions so I could be notified when repairs were complete. Ned from the sales department has called me on on a few occasions in regards to a lay away I had going. He has also left me messages. To be totally transparent about this situation I will say that I was not charged for this repair today but I still feel very mistreated as over 14 months of having my guitar seems very neglectful. For at least 8 of those months a decision was made to spend time working on someone else's instrument instead of mine and then I still didn't even get notified when it was done. I would really hope that my case is not a common occurrence but it really did happen and I think very unfair. I hope whoever reads this is treated better. Jerry Majerus 406-208-7127

Julie was my introduction to the world of western music, and the journey with her has been great. We usually work on one or two pieces at a time. She also makes sure I get the basics right and so we practice sight reading and do some basic warmup exercises every class. So far I've tried different genres such as opera, christmas carols and musicals. We have fun-filled parties at Noteworthy music very often and it's always great to catch up with her other piano and voice students. I really look forward to our gatherings. Julie hasn't confined my music education to just classes. Last summer, we watched a number of musicals in community theaters in and around Omaha. The highlight of the year is our Christmas performance. We sang carols at a prominent hospital in the city last year. I really look forward to my musical journey with Julie, and highly recommend Noteworthy Music to anyone looking to take piano and voice lessons.

When I first started, I could only belt -- and not in a healthy way. Sharon taught me real vocal technique, especially how to use breath support, control my tone, and sing with more vocal awareness. My favorite style to sing is pop, and over the years I've had other teachers or professors tell me that pop music is "bad for your voice." Ironically, it was Sharon -- who sings opera -- who helped me realize that pop can absolutely be sung in a healthy way with proper technique. That perspective stayed with me and helped me sing in the style I love without strain or guilt. Even now, the things I learned from Sharon have helped me better understand vocal function from a clinical perspective. She really knows how the voice works, and because of that, I trust that anyone she brings on to teach at SNJ knows what they're doing too. The lessons were absolutely worth it -- what I learned has stuck with me for years, and I still use those techniques both in my singing and in grad school. If you're looking for a place that teaches healthy, lasting vocal technique this is 100% a worthwhile choice.

Our son has been doing voice lessons and the guy teaching him is very flexible and willing to work with our schedule if something comes up. Terry is a good guy and our son has certainly improved working with him. I don't have anything but good things to say about SNJ.
