Communications and attention to detail with her immediate team and the follow through were excellent. Beth's house stager, photographer, and others working behind the scenes were well coordinated and very professional. I enjoyed working with Beth and her immediate employees. The less than stellar ho-hum 3-star rating is that I would be VERY careful if I was buying a house that her recommended handyman crew prepped for sale. The work performed to bring the house to market was awful. Two phrases keep coming to mind: "Caveat emptor" (Latin for buyer beware) and "Lipstick on a pig" My house was a single owner/occupant 2,000sq/ft 2-story stick frame built in 1994. There was significant normal wear on the hardwood floors. The carpet was original. Counters and sinks and all plumbing and lighting fixtures needed to be replaced and updated. Every surface needed painting. This was a daunting amount of work. Beth Traverso's go-to house prepping crew is led my Jose Vanegas, owner/operator of Immanuel Landscaping LLC. Jose has a diverse crew of painters, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, flooring crew, etc. This was the SINGULAR reason I chose Beth Traverso over another very well-established realtor in the area. I thought Jose's crew would ease the sale process since I wouldn't have to schedule a multitude of independent contractors to complete work on a tight schedule. Instead, Jose's crew would have it all coordinated, and everything would be done smoothly. Unfortunately, Jose is very polite and just says "OK" and never provides a professional recommendation or alternate opinion no matter how reasonable his professional assessment would be. He just assures the seller that everything will be done on time. The painting was super rushed and lasted late into the night. Thin coats of paint bubbled and peeled off the doors and door frames because they weren't prepped sufficiently. Paint was on the light switches and even splattered on the painted cabinets. The floor wasn't "refinished" as promised but rather just stained over with a darker stain to hide bare wood. The baseboard trim was never removed prior to staining so there is literally a light strip of exposed older stain around the perimeter of the floor. The counter tops were cut by hand with a circular saw on site and some edges showed the rough saw blade kerf and were very sloppily finished, if at all. Plumbing fixtures were leaking everywhere and the plumber had to be called back over 3x resulting in damaged cabinets. Round gaskets were seated under square faucets and awkwardly exposed. The quality of most of the work was AWFUL. One bathroom door never did latch and lock properly even after the home inspector called it out. Dreadful. I will say that Jose was always very pleasant, and he carted off A LOT of our junk to the transfer station for us with no complaint. When we repeatedly called out issues like leaking pea-traps or supply lines or fixtures, he never got frustrated and always called his plumber to come back. In kind, we gave his painters a lot of usable materials/tools and his other workers benefited from stuff we no longer had a need for. But, the actual work we paid over $60,000 to have performed on the house, was sub-standard by any measure. Home buyers will probably not see that shoddy workmanship in their starry-eyed walk through. They won't even see it after they re-visit the house with their agent. They will however see it when they start living in the house. For this avoidable buyer's regret, I felt bad. The house I lived and raised my family was not sold in a way that I was proud of. I still have a sense of guilt selling my house (for just over $1,000,000) with lipstick on a pig.

My hope was that they would be the solution for me. But we never even got to the point of having a face-to-face meeting. They were slow to respond be email (multiple instances) and often I would get bounced around between Caroline and Joe in the office. It seems Caroline can't/isn't allowed to do anything, and only Joe can make a decision. I had a family emergency in which my wife was seriously injured, and Joe's response later was phony and indifferent and made me feel bad for canceling our appt while my wife was laying on the floor getting strapped to a backboard. (hey man, at least i had the courtesy to call and cancel amidst all the chaos) Then he calls a day later, and says he is just down the street, as if we had rescheduled the appt. (I'm sure we hadn't, he told me he had to check with his assistant before rescheduling.) At that point, I just politely told him I wasn't comfortable with working with their office, after all the communication problems. After all, real estate sales are based on good, timely, accurate communication. I didn't get the sense that I would get that with this company. The modern real estate market requires fast response, not layers of overhead.

The agent loved bringing her dog with her to a walk thru then didn't even follow thru with that. She stood in the kitchen on her phone with other clients while the family had to do their own walk thru. Then if you don't write down ever nick and item falling apart or not completed or fixed, they will make you pay for it when you vacate. Even if its normal wear and tear or rusted from years of installation. Once the money from deposit was in hand - they were slow to respond or not gotten back with items needing fixing. Even if it was found to have been shodily fixed prior to move in...it was your fault and you pay for the fix. Very unethical services and did not care.

They helped us prepare our home for sale by helping us prioritize what to do, how to do it, and where to invest to maximize our sale proceeds. They connected us with local contractors and specialists and coordinated everything quickly and efficiently. They personally helped clean windows, freshen up our garden, and ensure our home was in impeccable condition prior to listing. On the buying side, they quickly understood what our needs were in a new home and ultimately helped us find a great forever home that we love. They helped identify on-market and off-market opportunities and toured dozens of homes with us (in some cases multiple times). They understood the school districts, local neighborhoods, and community features that were important for us to consider in the home buying process. With Johnathan's background in real estate law, and Kathleen's keen understanding of home design, flow, and what makes a house a home, they were a perfect team in helping us get the home we love. Their experience navigating difficult real estate conditions gave us confidence when we needed it most. Both have lived in Snoqualmie Valley for decades and have been involved in the community in meaningful and impactful ways, allowing them to really help us understand the history and future of neighborhoods in the valley. I would highly recommend this team to anyone looking to buy or sell in the Snoqualmie valley, they are AMAZING!
