Dr. Thomas Loeb's work truly stands the test of time! I had liposuction with him when I was 26--under my chin and in the area just beneath my buttocks, often called the "banana roll." Thirty-five years later, I'm still amazed by the results. My neck still looks great compared to women my age, and the contour he created under my buttocks has lasted beautifully. My bottom still has a lifted, defined shape, without the little pocket of fat beneath it that can develop with age. I certainly didn't appreciate at 26 that I was making an investment I'd still be enjoying 35 years later! You know that feeling when someone just gets you--without you needing to say much? That's exactly what happened when I met Dr. Thomas Loeb. After years of living with a nose that didn't feel right--too long, too wide, not straight, and with an uneven tip--I finally decided to look into revision surgery. My first rhinoplasty had left me quite disappointed, and I spent a long time searching for another surgeon. Never found the right one though... Until I went with my friend to one of her follow-up visits--she had recently had her nose done by Dr. Loeb--and I remember being genuinely amazed, looking at her and thinking, her nose is so, so perfect. My experience with Dr. Loeb and his team has been nothing but positive! I had been wanting to get my nose done by Dr. Loeb since I was 15, and as soon as I could afford the procedure, I went for it! Heidi was an incredible help in getting all the preparations sorted. She even guided me through the financial aspects to ensure everything was done on time and as needed. Her support throughout the process was greatly appreciated and showed immense care. On the day of my surgery, I met the rest of the team, including Dr. Loeb himself. Dr. Loeb gave me a lower face lift and eye job. He did a horrible job that has left me in permanent discomfort Loeb's bedside manner pre-op was was warm and caring. The day of the surgery he did not do as promised, became rude and unprofessional. The result of his half-face lift and eyes have me in discussion with a lawyer. My left ear has changed its position sticking farther out than before. No one in my family can see any change to my eyes. In addition the line above lashes is painful and the left eyelid is prominently scared many months after. The neck lift didn't even work. Along with degrading his staff verbally, he did so to me. I wanted to update my review (this is the only review I have ever posted on Yelp, so I'm unsure if my old review will still show up... I feel so strongly about my experience with Dr. Loeb & if there has ever been a time for me to start using Yelp reviews it is now.) Dr. Loeb ruined my nose as well as the last year of my life. In an email that I sent him I told him "I haven't felt strong enough to write this letter until now... I don't want to see my friends. I don't take pictures anymore. I barely leave my house." I have had six different consultations with doctors all over the United States and five of the six doctors have told me that they simply cannot repair the damage that he has done. EVERY SINGLE doctor that I have seen has said the same exact things to me: "how much did you pay for your surgery?", "you know that you can sue him, right?" and "I can't believe any doctor would leave the operating table with your nose looking like that." In addition to Dr. Loeb's surgery fees, I have spent $7,000 on fillers to try to correct the crooked mess he left me with and to try to rebuild my columella he completely removed without my consent. He gave me renderings that we agreed on. Renderings that I loved. That is the only reason that I chose him instead of another plastic surgeon. He ruined my nose and took away so much of my confidence. I don't want to look people in the eyes anymore- I get anxious if people look at me for too long. Dr. Loeb is top-notch. Our teenager daughter had a deviated septum and elected to get cosmetic surgery as well. Dr. Loeb and his staff were so comforting (there were hugs involved!). Following the procedure, our daughter's nose looks beautiful and natural and she can breathe normally now. Our daughter is ecstatic. I went to Dr. Loeb almost 20 years ago for breast augmentation after nursing my two boys and being left with deflated droopy boobs. My breasts still look amazing and very natural! I recently took my 17 year old daughter to him. He honestly was the only one I would trust with her. My daughter had tuberous breast deformity. Let me start with some background: I've wanted a rhinoplasty since I was 13. It's been over a decade and I wholeheartedly know I made the best decision choosing Dr. Loeb. Dr. Loeb is a "tell it like it is" type of doctor. If you need someone who will be realistic and let you know what will look good and natural... go to him. I'm a few days away from being 3 months out of my rhinoplasty surgery and for the past few months no one could tell anything was done, except me and the few people I told prior to the operation. I don't believe any of these five star reviews. This arrogant man was supposed to perform a simple breast reduction into a horrible botched nightmare. It is six years later and I am on my fourth revision surgery to fix his horrible mess. He didn't bother stitching me up properly. He used staples to close up instead of properly stitching which is what plastic surgeons are paid for. This man should not be able to practice any kind of medicine. He is also extremely rude and nasty and had the nerve to bill me more after the surgery claiming it took longer than he thought. Ladies, I wish I would have done my homework. Dr. Loeb is an artist, at least as I have experienced it with my Rhinoplasty. I had a jutting. protruded bridge and a tip that faced mostly downwards which dominated my face. Dr. Loeb subtly broke the bridge down and elevated the tip ever so slightly so that it would look more defined and aesthetically pleasing. It completely transformed my self image and my face at 32 years of age. There was only about 3 months worth of recovery in regards to swelling and 0 complications. He's a very skilled doctor and tries to explain his vision to meet yours taking in all considerations and regards to your expectations so you have a clear idea of what you are in for and what the best outcome will be. His staff Heidi and all the nurses are excellent and deal with their patients with care. I would recommend him 10/10 if you are looking for a rhinoplasty doctor. Oh and, he did this for me DURING covid times, so if you have medical concerns he takes all of those things into consideration, too. read more

I had a face lift about 5 years ago , done by another Dr. I noticed that skin seemed to be hanging under my chin and i did not want another face lift , Then i met Dr loeb who explained that he can use threading to fix that issue , it wouldn't be perfect like surgery but it would be much better he explained , well i just had the threading done by Dr Loeb and it came out fantastic ,way better then i ever expected with no down time,he is very hands on ,even texting with me and facetime with me after i first met him for a consult as i had some more questions ,I have never had a Dr so available to me plus felt he was being very honest with me ,from now on i will always have him do any work on me ,I actually had seen the work he had done on some of my friends breast implants etc and found his work to be exceptional ,I dont want to leave out his staff Heidi who is excellent with communication and so warm and friendly along with the nurse that was in the room with me. LOOKING FOR A PERMANENT LIP FILLER? look no further than Dr. Loeb who was amazing. I scheduled a consultation to understand my options as I was looking for a permanent lip filler solution. Dr Loeb offered AdatoSil 5000, a purified silicone option which I opted for. But prior to committing to the silicone option he explained what it was and i eventually did my research as well and in short - AdatoSil 5000 is FDA approved for treating retinal detachment in the eye. However, doctors have been using these products off-label safely and effectively for many years as fillers that can actually provide permanent results. The long-term nature of AdatoSil 5000 means that I did not have to undergo another procedure to maintain the results. I asked Dr Loeb to be conservative with the amount of filler as it is a permanent solution, I showed him a picture as well and he acknowledged noting my concerns and expectations. Thus far LOVING MY NEW PERMANENT LIP - I opted only for top lip bc I like the volume of my bottom lip and I prefer my top lip to be slightly fuller. Thanks Dr Loeb! read more

Over the past decade I've had several surgeries with Dr. Loeb including a mini lift, eyes, neck, threading & 'tummy tuck' as well as fillers & Botox. Simply put, I would not consider going to any other surgeon. Dr Loeb has exceeded my highest expectations in his quality of care & outstanding results. Previously, I'd considered other fine surgeons and second opinions. Now, I listen to Dr Loeb's advice and strongly recommend him to others. I will do my best to explain why. I'm 61yrs. old and want to look my best but as natural as possible. My weight has changed little but I've had plenty of past sun exposure. I'm quite healthy but don't consider myself especially tolerant of pain and heal somewhat slowly. Dr Loeb has made me look just like myself but my best. Nothing fake or unnatural looking and barely any scars visible even from a major surgeries. While there are other well-trained surgeons, it takes more than the ability to do the surgery - An essential minimum requirement and unfortunately, not to be assumed just based on being licensed. The major difference beyond Dr. Loeb's excellent surgical training & skill is both his experience and aesthetic eye. He has years of experience across thousands of surgeries including at the forefront of many new techniques(e.g. threading which I was thrilled with and saw noticeable and immediate results.) I've also seen the results of his work in many others such as numerous rhinoplasty, face, body and laser surgeries & treatments. Dr Loeb is deservedly most well known for rhinoplasty and I've seen many of his patients transformed in the most beautiful & natural way imaginable. I would best describe that he gives you the nose that looks like (but you only dreamed) you were born with. Beyond his extensive training and experience, his most important distinction is his aesthetic sensibility or 'eye'. He looks at each particular patient issue within the context of their greater self. I HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH DR LOEB. I went to Dr. Loeb for a rhinoplasty. He left me with a severely deviated septum (I did not have one prior to surgery), breathing problems which led to many other health issues, and a slew of aesthetic issues including a polly beak deformity and a drooping nasal tip. My nose literally collapsed after surgery because Dr. Loeb performed a closed procedure when he should have done an open procedure. He is arrogant and apparently doesn't do open procedures (which are newer and safer, so he clearly just refuses to learn new techniques). In addition to the physical damage Dr. Loeb caused, he also caused a lot of psychological damage. He was extremely rude and tried to convince me that all of my issues were in my head. When I finally went to a new surgeon for a revision, he confirmed all of the damage that Dr. Loeb had done. Fortunately, the new surgeon was able to fix my nose, and I finally have the nose I was meant to have. I have never written a bad review, but I am hoping that this review will save someone from making the same horrible mistake that I did. read more

I am writing this review because I wished someone had saved me from this terrible surgeon. I met with Dr. Loeb to consult about a nose job. We agreed on a relatively wide nose - a very minor adjustment from my birth nose. I was told that there was "no chance" of nasal collapse. I don't have to tell you what happened next. Loeb went rogue. he performed multiple procedures on my nose that I *did not consent to* - he shortened it, cut more than half of my tip cartilage off, overly narrowed it. I have several deformities including an inverted V. Worst of all I can't breathe because the nose is completely collapsed. I told Loeb my nightmare nose was pinched. I'm pinched like a rat. I told Loeb I needed to remain recognizable. People do not recognize me. Loeb's behavior has been shocking. He raised his voice and man-handled me when I nearly passed out after my cast removal. He gas-lit me. He told me to see an ENT if I couldn't breathe. When the ENT confirmed that my cartilages were collapsed Loeb continued to insist that I CAN breathe. This man took a perfectly beautiful face and made it ugly and weird. I am no longer a champion yogini because I can't breathe. It's costs me thousands of dollars in consultation fees and traveling (all over the world) to find someone to fix me. He has demonstrated how very little he gives a shit about my health or quality of life. I was in the prime of my life before I stepped into his office. Now I live with PTSD and deep depression as a result of not only having a poor surgery but one that was performed willfully against my will and judgment. read more

Dr Loeb is truly amazing. My friend referred me to him as Dr Loeb is friends with her parents. I am a very nervous patient and Dr Loeb calmed all my nerves and I now have good view on male doctors. Before I made my appointment the nurse offered me to send Dr Loeb pictures of my problem area to make sure this was something he could do before coming in to pay the consultation fee. Once he said he could definitely help me, I met with Dr Loeb probably for about a good half hour, which I really liked because he took the time to get to know me. That day I was able to make the appointment for surgery the next week! He was so kind and patient throughout the whole procedure and making sure I was comfortable. I got a rhinoplasty from Dr. Loeb a few months ago. I was able to get the procedure done right in the office which was great. During my consultation, he was able to tweak width, nostril size, slope, etc on a photo of myself on his computer and I could say what I wanted. The final product was pretty much exactly like the picture. And he knows what angles look best, explains the steps of the procedure, and gives detailed instructions for healing. My bruising was gone after about 5 days and my cast was off after a week. It takes a year to fully heal but I was already so happy with my results after a few weeks. Highly recommend! Horrible egotistical surgeon, he butchered my nose and did things I specifically said I didn't want. My nose was completely collapsed, crooked, up-turned, I looked deformed and couldn't breathe. Must go to this surgeon! I was skeptical of getting rhinoplasty because I am so young and was afraid to go under the knife. I found Dr Loeb through my sister who had done surgery right before her wedding and her nose looked perfect! So I went ahead to see Dr Loeb. Dr Loeb assured me I was in good hands and listened carefully to all my questions and concerns of my nose during consultation. He told me he would do a closed rhinoplasty where I would have less recovery time and the stitches are inside the nostrils. After our consultation, I knew that this was the surgeon for me and booked a surgery right away with him. The day of surgery took place at the 5th Avenue office and the bedside manner was outstanding. The nurses took care of me right after I woke up from anesthesia. I had no pain through recovery it was only six days of rest. I was up and ready to work right away and looked good just even after first day of cast removal. Barely had any bruising just minor swelling which is common. He removed my dorsal hump and lifted my tip he gave me the nose I should have been born with and I am absolutely obsessed with my results! I don't think you will find a better doctor if you are looking for rhinoplasty. Aside from the fact that Dr. Loeb has a stellar reputation in New York, his results are phenomenal. It was a struggle for me to decide to do this . I had a deviated septum and experiencing breathing problem, snoring and sleep apnea. I wanted a plastic surgeon who could fix this problem. He was able to make me breath again and reshape my nose. The surgery was so easy. I was there for two hours and his team is so professional and they take care about you throughout during and post surgery.
