Dr. Quach has been my OB-GYN for over 10 years, and I seriously wouldn't trust anyone else. I first saw him after my family doctor referred me when I was dealing with really bad pain from an ovarian cyst. I ended up in the ER multiple times, but because of insurance issues, it took over a month to schedule surgery. When I came to his office, the staff was incredibly kind and did everything they could to squeeze me in ASAP. Every time I've had an emergency or urgent concern, they've been so supportive. You can tell they really care. Fast forward a couple years--during a routine checkup, they found another cyst. Thankfully it was caught early, and I had a second surgery. After that, Dr. Quach helped guide me through my pregnancy journey, and I just had my baby two months ago! If you're looking for an OB you can truly trust and feel safe with, especially during delivery, Dr. Quach is the one. He's not just knowledgeable--he's calm, supportive, and makes you feel taken care of from beginning to end. Highly, highly recommend. Dr. Quach is truly an amazing doctor. He delivered both of my daughters where my last last was problematic. He took great care of my wife and saved her life. As I review the other reviews from other patients, I am left to wonder if these patients understand the things that they are saying. In one review the patient said that they were told that Dr. Quach was in surgery. Did they truly expect for the good doctor to leave surgery to get to them? How arrogant? There is only one of him and dozens of patients. People just have to understand the reality of a private practice for a sole practitioner. As for the nursing student. Where do you get off judging a doctor when you're just a nursing? Its like someone looking up the law and think they're a lawyer. We live right in the middle of little Saigon and found Dr. Quach's office. We were probably the only Latino couple we saw at the office so we felt a little out of place. It primarily Vietnamese clientele. But Dr. Quach and his staff were really nice and friendly from the receptionist to the nurses. We had fast appointments and that did not take long. Dr. Quach answered all my questions fast and simple. We went into labor before the due date and spent all day in the hospital and he arrived just in time. I've been to 2 different female doctors just to find a cure for the pain I have to deal with every month. 8-12-2019 I'll be editing this as an ongoing review for those interested. We came in here 6 weeks pregnant for the first time. The wait was about 10-15 minutes which is expected for our appointment. The staff was very receptive. Urine test confirmed the home test. Dr. Quach showed us the heartbeat with the ultrasound. Also showed us urine emptying into the bladder via the ureter which was cool. He told us what to expect and avoid the next few months. Very informative and helpful. 9-14 Got blood drawn for further testing. Mama doesn't like needles and when she saw a stack of tubers waiting to be filled she was overwhelmed. However, she took it like a champ!! Also, saw the ultrasound of the very active baby in 3D. Development is coming along very well and everything is done very professionally. Very glad we chose this facility 10-21 They were able to figure out the sex of our baby! Actually the doctor found out the sex of the baby and wrote it on a piece of paper for us so that we could give it to family members who wanted to give us a reveal party. The doctor folded it up so tight That if we change our minds it would take about nine minutes to open up the piece of paper. Everything that happens in this office is efficient and smooth. read more

It saddens me to post a negative review, but my personal situation prompts me to do so. I am a patient of Dr. Thomas Quach who delivered my twin boys a few years back. Following my ultrasound and after the birth, we were never given proof in writing that the twins are identical or fraternal. We signed a permit to authorize Dr. Quach to obtain the record either from his records or those at Fountain Valley Hospital, the place of delivery. It was a surprise to me that Dr. Quach reported he has no such record! Subsequently, no results came from our signed permission, so I sent him a letter of concern. (The twins' identity is a vital part of their ongoing health history.) , Nothing response came from my letter. I approached the doctor once more during my annual checkup visit. I was shocked when he abrupt response was "why do you want to know?" I don't open the mail box , so I did not see this letter." At this point, his assistant acknowledged that she saw the letter and already read it! To this day, Dr. Quach has not responded to or fulfilled my request. He told me figure out by myself by get a DNA test . The lack of concern and further lack of professionalism that this doctor has shown toward me saddens, angers and disappoints me. Had to change my OB Dr. to Dr. Quach from a friend referral. Thankfully he accepted me during my last trimester, most Dr. don't. But Dr. Quach did and was the BEST DECISION I HAD EVER MADE!! At my first visit I had a good experience from the moment I walk in to when I was finish. I love the way they have a system going on. The staff are friendly, quick and very professional. Love the reminder calls from the staff a day before my appointment. I was hesitant to change doctor due to the fact that I was far into my 3 trimester. During my last trimester of pregnancy I can say I TRUST HIM. Now I understand why they said he have the MAGIC HANDS and he does. A belated review but hopefully it's useful for anyone who's looking for a good gynecology office and doctor. I came in for my first ever pap smear back in Aug of 2020 and being as it's covid time, I was concerned about the office being too crowded and not adhering to CDC guidelines. When I made my appointment, I was told to stay in my car and call in when I arrived and they will let me know when I can go in to check in for my appointment. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the front desk staff (co Nhu). She took my temperature and asked me some questions related to covid to make sure I was not experiencing any symptoms. All staff were wearing a mask and the office was very nice and clean. After taking my vitals, I was roomed and waited maybe 15 min for the doctor. Dr. Thomas is very friendly. He calmed my nerves by explaining everything beforehand and the procedure was very quick (maybe 5 min) and not painful like I had imagined. There was some mild cramping when he used the clamp but other than that I did not feel any pain. For women out there who are worried about doing a pap smear for the first time, do yourself a favor and don't watch any YouTube horror videos beforehand. Dr. Quach is amazing. He cares about his patients. He is very busy. His office is always crowded. It might be a long wait (even with appointment) on some day. I still rather wait in his office. His staffs are friendly and very helpful. He doesn't smile much. But he is friendly and approachable. I have a lot of questions throughout my pregnancy. He took time answer all my questions. You might still feel a little rush, because he has too many patients. However, he will still answer all questions without any itritation. Update: I just had my second baby delivered by dr. Quach. At 37 weeks, I came in for routine check. He noticed my water was low. He told me to go to hospital for further testing. I ended up staying in hospital for 2 nights to be monitor. I asked the nurse if I could talk to dr quach first before being admit. He called me within an hour. We discussed his recommendation and treatment plan. He also came in the next day to check on me. Lucky my water was back up and I was released home. The following week, I woke up one day and felt strong contraction. I called his office after hour number at 7 am. The operator took down my name and number. Dr quach called me back within a minutes. I discussed my contraction with him. He told me to go hospital right away. Arrived at the hospital, I was already 8 cm dilated. I got an epidural. Waited another two hours to get to 10 cm. At 10cm, dr quach came in. I pushed for about 5 minutes and baby came out. Throughout my pregnancy, he was very patient with me. He listened to my concerns and answered all questions I had. read more

Dr. Quach was my OB for my first pregnancy a couple years ago. All of my most basic needs were met but overall quality of care was very poor. I'm beginning to realize this as a first year nursing student. For most appointment times I was kept waiting 30mins-1 hour late. While this is understandable, it upset me that when I was actually seen by him he was always in a hurry and not very thorough with patient education. More often then not I was completely LOST. No one explained what anything was for or why things were being done. Many rountine orders for labs and other things were either not mentioned or not spoken about: why they were needed/Or what results were not gone over. No delivery procedures or plans were discussed. Come around for delivery time... I was sent to labor and delivery by his "nurse practitioner" after speaking over the phone. She had very poor demonstration of medical knowledge. Her first answer to every problem or question I had was to just show up at labor and delivery. She sent me to labor and delivery after I lost my mucous plug which was inappropriate. Additionally, post baby I called about a question that I later found out to be mastitis. Again, his NP had no clue what was going on and brushed it off like it wasn't a problem. CLASSIC signs were explained and even as a prerequisite nurse I'm able to know what's going on... breastfeeding mom, fever, chills, breast pain and swelling. Overall, my experience was not what is should've been. I wish I had a doctor and clinic nurses that were more communicative and better at patient teaching. read more

I had both my boys under dr quachs care at hoag hospital. His staff is extremely well run and efficient . Some of you complain about a wait...that's bc emergencies can happen and doc has to rush to hospital to attend to dire needs...its like that at most obgyns. This is not normal for them but it does happen and it's unavoidable...just the nature of the beast, so to speak. With that said, I was very nervous w the first child and he walked me through everything one week at a time. When you're with him, you can sense his tremendous knowledge in the area, his need to take his time and give you the best experience. It's not a mill kind of place where you feel rushed. He does take the needed time to go over a-z with you. After my 2 experiences with him, I will say I trust dr Quach with my life and family's. He's that good!!! read more

Do not go to this doctor. My wife and my daughter almost got kill by him. He's very lazy and irresponsible. Every appointments with him we had to wait 30 minutes to 1 hour, but he spent only 1 minute with us. He didn't explain anything , no help with any procedure, don't event ask any questions, he just care for his paycheck. My wife delivered 11/2020 , we came to Orange coast memorial hospital at 5:30 am , the nurse call him right away , he said he's on the way but he came at 9:00am. We asked nurse again, she said he was busy with another surgery, Wtf in the world what kind of doctor is that ? My wife need him at the critical moment but he had other appointment or he busy sleeping. Long story short , thanks God my wife and baby ok now , she was delivered by other doctor in the hospital not Dr Quach. We came back for the check up , he tried to blame the nurse, he didn't look at at the stitches, he was angry and blame everything on the hospital. He tried to hold us back in the office and looking for the evidences to blame the hospital. He never explained anything for us, when we ask he told us to call the office ask questions, he supposed to help us and explained that was his job. Please don't go to this doctor , this is our first time and last time . We never reviewed anything but this time I want people to know what kind of doctor he is. So far I've visited Dr about 5 times, the first visit was per usual ultrasound, blood and peeing good visit found a gestational sac. Second visit I went in because I was bleeding, they took out blood and did an ultrasound Dr said no sac. third visit was only for blood to "confirm" pregnancy had ended. Fourth visit went in for results of blood hcg level was high enough to still consider me pregnant so he schedule me one week out. I went in yesterday to find out my prefect test is still positive, HcG levels continue going up and he found a gestational sac. This is so bizarre to me & I am so CONFUSED. Not to mention this whole time I've been spotting. Now I am on progesterone. I have a follow up appointment with him on Monday. All my family & friends tell me to get a second opinion. I had to change to another Dr after the first few weeks of my pregnancy.My sister already experienced herself with this Dr twice and both of her delivery, he came late after the baby already came out.But It didn't really bother me, I still gave it a try and went there for 2 months I give this a star because of his nice and clean waiting room.But bad thing is I always had to wait for 2 hours most of my visit just for 5 minutes of his check-up.He always seems rush and busy.He never asked if I concerned about anything and close the door on us after 5 minutes check-up.His staffs seem lazy and sleepy all the time.I've heard a lot of complaints about this Dr and know bunch of moms-to-be had to change to another Ob Dr since He's getting worse in his job. read more

Location: Heart of Little Saigon, bustling, safe, parking can be little bit of a hassle (secret is that you can park in front of any business and they don't care in Little Saigon). I would park/walk for blocks if I had to, just to see this amazing Doctor. (He delivered both our boys). He is absolutely brilliant, intelligent, bilingual (English is his primary language however his Vietnamese is also perfect), he's extremely bright and a great listener, lots of eye contact and genuine reassurance. He treated us so kindly, his office is very nice and there are about 12 nurses who are very calm, kind, reassuring...the office layout is uniquely open for a Doctor's office, everything is spacious, quiet, comfortable chairs in waiting room, tv/magazines, I really like the painting on the wall with the long-haired Vietnamese mother and her baby. (My wife is Vietnamese and I am Caucasian - it's also fun to walk around the Asian Garden Mall next door to his office before/after the visit). As an obstetrician he is like Clark Kent, a living angel, always either delivering a baby or patiently meeting with patients. I think we averaged about 10 visits per pregnancy and only once was he unavailable (and a female Doctor covers/partners with him for such emergencies). The actual birth of the babies was made so perfect by his obviously supreme confidence and experience delivering babies. You will notice how experienced and confident he is during the delivery, the guy is like a Superhero. My wife adores him too. After the birth, I asked him how many babies he's delivered and he said "Oh...about a small village". I said "So like 5000?", "give our take" he said. You can tell that Thomas loves his chosen profession and I personally believe that if God were to designate anyone to be an obstetrician, Thomas was the perfect choice. I truly feel blessed that we were referred to him. I've met a dozen Specialist Doctors in my life, all of them very professional / high-'ranking' doctors, and I can assure you that this Dr.'s overall communication, genuine kindness, reassuring experience and everything else about the office and staff, (we delivered both babies at Fountain Valley and were likewise impressed by all of the nurses there! Our expectations were surpassed by the whole team at the hospital and Doctor Quach's team of nurses. My wife, who is Vietnamese, told me that his name is pronounced Quach. I could go on and on, I hope my message is clear that he is our hero on Earth, and a real role-model in life. I would never trust my wife's deliveries to anyone else! No matter how many times we drive by his office, I'm always like "wow, baby look, it's Dr. Quach's office!". In fact, we spontaneously stopped and brought our baby boy back to visit the office one day (when passing by and we were welcomed in and Dr. Quach came out of a patient visit just as we were ushered in. He was so nice and held our happy little boy who was already 2! So adorable, a wonderful man. Love Dr. Quach! He's quiet but super funny if you talk to him. He's realistic and not uptight. The staff here is amazing. Every single lady here wants to help and is knowledgeable in what they're doing from glucose tests, billing and even scheduler. How can every single staff member is nice? Last year I had a surgery with Dr. Tri Quach. He was not care about his patient. He said I just need to stay at the hospital one day. The second date at 6:30 pm, I asked the nurse to call him to come to hospital sign the discharge for me. However, the nurse said he didn't answer his cell phone. He came to the hospital around 8:30 pm and sign the discharge for me. If a doctor are responsible, he will answer the phone call immediately because it was a call from a nurse of hospital.
