This Walmart sits by itself and there are no other stores near it. Inside it is a bit more worn…read moreand dim and cashiers could be a little bit more abrasive than I have seen in other Walmarts. Though the overall staff were fine. Clearance section is tiny and for superstore it didn't feel like it. As I wandered, I drifted close by to the restrooms and didn't know I drifted until I smelled it. The unpleasant urine smells were way too pungent and lingering that more bathroom staff need to be assigned. I wasn't even that close and smelled it way before I noticed I was by the bathrooms. I never stepped inside so that's how putrid it was! I had to take a star away for this. This one could use some brighter lights to give it a cheerier feel. It does have some interesting products like the Better Goods Walmart brand. The frozen gnocchi is quite good and so are the chippies made with avocado oil. Not all of the chippies are as healthy so check the ingredients carefully. There is a FedEx and Subway inside for convenience and shoppers find it convenient to stop at Subway for a lunch break. I found it was just okay.

4 Stars - A Much Better Experience Than North Brunswick…read more After a frustrating visit to the North Brunswick Walmart--where pressing the help button in the paint section got me nothing but a wild goose chase to electronics and a mile-long line--I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly things went at the Old Bridge location. I pressed the button in the paint section, and unlike before, I received immediate assistance. The associate was helpful, and I was in and out quickly without any unnecessary hassle. It's clear this store is better managed and customer-focused. I'm giving four stars because while the experience was great, there's always room for improvement--but compared to North Brunswick, this place is a breath of fresh air.

Can you give zero stars?…read more "Disappointing Experience Due to Poor Management and Lack of Accommodation!!" We visited Maple Leaf Farms for their holiday train ride with our two daughters. We arrived at 4:30 PM, knowing the train ride was scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM, and expected a reasonably organized experience. After waiting in line for over an hour and fifteen minutes, a staff member informed us that it would be at least another hour wait from where we were standing. We were told this delay was due to one woman attempting to accommodate and rearrange groups ahead of us. Unfortunately, this was handled very poorly, making the line significantly less efficient and causing repeated stoppages rather than steady movement. There were no clear updates or realistic time estimates until we had already waited an excessive amount of time. One of my daughters has special circumstances that make standing for long periods in crowded environments extremely difficult. When I explained this to staff and asked whether any accommodation could be made, I was told that they do not accommodate special needs in that way. We did everything we could to make the situation manageable--taking turns purchasing items from the store to keep the children occupied and fed--but once we were told we would need to wait at least another hour, we had no choice but to leave. When we politely requested a refund, it was refused. We then planned to return the following weekend, but our family came down with the flu. Even after explaining these circumstances and again requesting a refund, it was refused a second time. This was not a matter of impatience. It was the result of poor event and line management, combined with a complete lack of flexibility, accommodation, or empathy. For a family-oriented holiday event, this experience was deeply disappointing. I would not recommend this experience to families with young children or anyone who may require accommodations or cannot stand in long, crowded lines without clear communication and effective organization. There are so many family, friendly places that you can go to!! Just not here!

My last review of 2022 and it's for a fun Christmas activity my family did. Maple Leaf Farms…read morereally puts you in the Christmas spirit as you walk through their cute winter window displays and end at Santa Claus. My kids had a BLAST walking through the displays, pointing at all the different animatronics and posing at a cute little "bridge" where "snow" fell down all around them. As you walk through the displays you will notice that some of them are dated, but that's the point. It gives an old school Christmas vibe (ala Christmas Caverns from back in the day). When you get to the end of the window displays you meet up with Santa Claus. I really like their set up for meeting Santa. He is standing in a chimney set up as if he is on top of a house. I appreciate this because my son is at the age where he refuses to sit on Santa's lap but he happily spoke to him and posed in front of the chimney with Santa. It was great! He was also a very legit looking Santa. Very friendly and kind to all the kids. After that, we took a little train ride around the farm. It was a cute old timey looking train. My kids sat in the caboose with their cousins and had fun looking at all the different decorated hay bales. They even have a playground area too which we must visit when it gets warmer out. The price to walk through the window display was $12 for adults and $10 for children. To ride the train it was $5 per person. It became a bit of a pricey outing but I would certainly do it again next year because the kids had a great time. Pro tip: buy the apple cinnamon donuts! They were super warm, fresh, and delicious. Absolutely worth the $8!

This company has failed us and we are in too deep to get out so now we have to deal with their incompetence that failed inspections and they're despicable work. We contacted Blue Haven Pools back in APRIL to get the ball rolling, and our salesman assured us that they are different from every other pool company in the sense that they will not start a project and let it sit because they have too many jobs on their hands. He said it will be ready in 5 weeks (so it should've been ready in the beginning of June), it is now the END OF JULY and they just put the concrete in. There was a delay with the township permits and inspection, however we feel that a pool company should know the rules for whatever town they are working in to avoid month-long delays that could have been avoided had the company known the rules and regulations of the township. Now apparently it's going to take 2 weeks for the tile to be ready and lord knows how much longer it will take them to finish it so we are fully prepared not to use the pool at all this summer. Stay away!

Jay and his team at Grounds Keeper recently did work on my family's yard and they did a top-notch…read morejob, beyond my expectations. I had a lot of poor soil, stumps and roots in the back yard that I wanted to get rid of. I thought fall would be a good time to do it so the grass would seed before winter and look good by spring. I expected a pretty slow growth process and didn't think the yard would look like much for at least a few months, but Jay planted a number of large rolls of sod and blended them really well with the rest of the yard. By the time he was done, it was impossible to tell the new area from the rest of the yard because everything looked great together. When you work with contractors, there's always a risk they'll take a long time to finish the job or leave a mess, but Jay was especially attentive to our property and cared about our overall experience. We were always asked beforehand what time would be convenient for us to have them work at the house, and we always knew in advance as to when a worker would show up. They were always specific about the time and never gave us a range (like "sometime between 1:00 and 4:00"). If they said they would show up at 1:00, then they showed up at 1:00. And when his workers were done for that day, there was no way to tell they'd been there other than the quality of work and the beautiful landscape taking shape - no messes, no gates left unlocked, etc. The project was completed significantly faster than I thought it would and the end result was amazing. I would definitely work with Grounds Keeper again and recommend them if you want a contractor that works fast, respects your property, and gets you results immediately.

I love the landscaping design in my front and back yards thanks to Ken Lerner of Total Concepts…read more Ken has a great eye for design, a great ear to hear what you hope to achieve (very important), a great knowledge of plants and a great crew to help it all materialize perfectly. I tried on two previous occasions with two other landscapers and was disappointed both times. Ken understood what I was hoping to create with my outdoor spaces and made it happen. He used plants and rocks that were different and beautiful. One of the trees that he found for me, he hoped he could find another for himself! It is probably my favorite. Ken oversaw the project with a critical eye. He was not afraid to make changes to his original plan, in order to please me, or his own sense of style as the project progressed. In addition, he did my fencing and lighting. I didn't have to deal with coordinating between companies. Ken took care of it all. He was so easy to work with. Total Concepts will continue to maintain my property going forward. It always looks wonderful and I am confident that it alway will. I am so happy with the results and so happy that I found Total Concepts!

My experience with Custom Pool Bros was extremely disappointing and stressful. Their pricing…read moreappears low upfront, but once you sign, they hit you with constant change orders that dramatically increase the final cost. Here's how their process works: At the beginning, you deal with a salesperson who is very sweet, agreeable, and promises everything. Once you agree, they send you a 5-6 page contract that is poorly written and very hard to understand. After signing and paying a large deposit, you are handed off to accounting--who seems to have no idea what the salesperson promised. That's when the problems begin. They start issuing change orders for items that should have been anticipated: Claiming the grade is higher than shown on plans, resulting in a change order of thousands of dollars Charging thousands more for dewatering Equipment location scam: My equipment was planned and bid to be about 30 feet from the pool, which was clearly part of the original scope. After signing, Tom (the owner) suddenly stated equipment is only allowed 10 feet from the pool and demanded $100 per linear foot to extend it. This was never clearly disclosed upfront. Tom, the owner, is rude, arrogant, and unprofessional, especially once you're under contract and financially committed. On top of all this, the project was completed 4 months later than the contract deadline. Final Advice If you choose to work with them: Get EVERY detail in writing Clarify equipment distances Confirm grading assumptions Ask about dewatering costs Have a lawyer review the contract Otherwise, be prepared to pay far more than the original price. What looks like a "good deal" upfront can easily turn into paying nearly double by the end. I would not recommend this company.
