PLEASE - read through to end as there are other employees that deserve the 5 stars but I'm starting with the sour apple so you know who to STAY AWAY FROM!! If you're going to use this laundromat DON"T go Wednesday afternoons/evenings! The lady that works is named MERCEDES - short dominican lady that can't speak English; lied to me when I asked for her name & told me her name was JUANA. She yells at people & curses at them in Spanish (I'm bilingual so I know), and I usually mind my own but I will put you on blast if you try to get one up on me. I came in at 7:25 pm during a weeknight (M-Thursday last wash is at 7:30 pm) and this employee proceeded to tell me I couldn't use the machine I was placing clothes in b/c it would take 40 minutes. Even after I told her several times I wasn't drying those clothes she continued - mind you they close at 9:00 pm - so if I wanted to wash & dry I would've had enough time to do both. I would've never made this review if it wouldn't have been that I discovered she lied to me about her name! She obviously knew she was doing something she is NOT allowed to do to customers & thought that by giving a fake name I wouldn't find out! Now if I could give another review for the other employees who are FANTASTIC - Nicole & Noemi - they deserve 5 STARS!!!! Nicole & Noemi are always so helpful, kind, generous with advice and truly sweet. Nicole & Noemi know what it is to provide good customer service in a very uncomfortable environment & even joke & laugh with customers. So go wash on the days Nicole or Noemi are working - any day that's NOT Wednesday afternoon/evening & just stay away from Juana/Mercedes or whatever the liar wants to call herself. read more

In town on Biz and staying at a 4 star Westin - I laugh at myself sometimes about things on which I will splurge and things on which I become a cheapskate. My inner cheapskate surfaces when i conceptualize my 4 start hotel charging 3 bucks to wash each pair of my boxer briefs, undershirts and smelly workout clothes making a load of laundry from the week cost me around 60 bucks... Na baby na... Hence my search for a good old school laundromat. I was pleasantly surprised by this gig... "Thomas Laundromat". Located down on south OBT, it's surrounded by the typical seedy joints but it could be much worse as there are much worse areas of this city. The staff here is super friendly and the folks doing laundry are hard working people getting their laundry done and taking life day by day. Same as everyone else.. Therefore, if you are in need of a coin operated laundromat that is super clean with a really nice staff and has quality machines that won't break the bank - Thomas Laundromat is your next stop! I dont understand. . . Why clothes have to be so funky. My god. Muy sucio. Seinfeld has a simple explanation. "You move, you stink." Fine. This is the place to get rid of the funk. Its clean and spacious with the CNN showing on TV. Automatic door makes easy entry and exit with your belongings. Plenty of elextrolux washers and dryers in good working condition. For washing, price ranges from $3-6.50 per load depending on washer size. Not sure of dryer charges. Currently the change machine is not in service, but that is fine because the attendant on duty will make change for you. Comfy seats for sitting while you wait. read more

My washer was out so I had to use a laundromat. This place does the trick and there is a variety of different priced washers. The owners were there supervising so everything is clean and well kept. 1) Bring bills smaller than a twenty or you will end up with way more quarters than you can use at this laundromat 2) Once you enter - obtain a rolling cart for moving your laundry. These are at a premium. 3) The cheaper machines (smaller) are by the door and move up in size and price. Needless to say the cheaper machines are popular 4) They offer a small selection of detergent etc for sale but there is a Walgreen's and other stores out front so come prepared 5) There are all kinds of compartments on the washers. Their are signs but the attendant will explain it to you. Which ones are for liquid, powder, prewash, etc. If you have the wash crystals you put those inside the machine with your laundry. 6) You can select a wash cycle for heavy soil and second rinse but your machine cost will go up 7) The driers have a common panel to pay which may be confusing but there is an arrow to indicate which one you are paying for. read more

Needed to find a laundromat to wash some bedding and larger items and found this not too far from home. Great selection of machines of all sizes. Attendant was very helpful in explaining the machine and how much detergent to use for the larger machines. The place is spotless. When some of my detergent dripped on to the floor, I tried to wipe it up but the friendly attendant beat me to it. Added bonus: there is a Twistee Treat in the parking lot so you can have ice cream while you are waiting for your items to finish! read more

We walked in 45 minutes before the business closed and as soon as we walked in the attendant yells we are closed! All I wanted was to dry 1 load of clothes since my dryer broke. I started asking lady how come since they still are open for another 40-45 minutes and she just kept walking around ignoring me....very rude so don't even bother wasting your money here! We have just collected our laundry from Thomas Laundromat and we couldn't be happier, all the clothes were folded and mens and womens were in separate bags. My t shits were folded and had not been shrunken as we've had at previous laundromats. Its a great service and only cost $12 for 12 pounds of washing, one around the corner from our hotel wanted $25+ for a similar amount. Great service and friendly staff. read more

Clean, helpful attendant, not too scary of an area, although I don't know if I'd come at night. NICE washers and dryers...not a mom and pop at all...Electrolux high speed washers and matching dryers...what I thought was going to be a long laundry afternoon, turned out to be a 25 min. Wash and a 40 minute dry!! Not near my hotel, but not too bad of a drive away....nice bakery next door to grab an empanada if you're hungry! read more

Very clean place. The guy behind the counter is very helpful and will show you how the machines work if it is your first time there. $2 for small washer, 25¢ per 5 minutes to dry. Plenty of detergent, softener, etc for sale at the counter. I was here for a convention, staying at the Rosen Plaza hotel. Not a bad place, many different sizes of washers and huge dryers. The bigger the washer the more money it is. I used the medium sized one and it was 3.00 and 25 cents for every 5 minutes you use the dryer. Very clean and reasonably priced. No Ac just a big fan but it wasn't terrible at all read more

It's very sad to see this place going down. I always wonder why the staff kept leaving this place and today I realized why. The owner is a slick person. Very bad customer service!! My wife and I always use to drop our clothes but today we went to drop it off and 1 the owner did not want to separate the cloths cause it cost more for him. 2 every bag we put on the weight he wanted to charge a dollar more cause we wanted our clothes separated, despite what the weight was showing... If your not careful he will rob you in your face!! Also we have notice that the washer machines cost a bit more and ends quicker. Eyes open people every quarter counts. read more

Left a black comforter with the service to wash and pick up the next day. When I came to retrieve the comforter I was handed back a comforter with heavy white residue left ALL over it and in dust. I was almost shocked, as it looked like someone basically walked all over it. Called the owner who refused to refund my $10 back for the wash which was all I asked for, not even compensation for the ruined bed sheet. Left to take care of the issue caused by them myself. Awful. This laundromat is very clean and well kept up. Washers range from $2-$8 depending on size. Dryers are $.25/5 minutes. Dryers are powerful so even though expensive can dry your clothes fast. There's nice benches to sit on to wait and they provide plenty of carts to transport your clothes. read more

OMG!! Super service. From out of town, needed to do some cleaning and lady on staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. She knew I looked confused and offered help without me asking. This is cleanest Laundromat I have ever seen. Plus there were plenty of cloths carts and folding tables. A little bit of a drive from Disney area but worth it. read more

With my washer out of commission, I needed to find a laundromat nearby. As usual, Yelp had a number of recommendations and Thomas Laundromat was at the top of the list. It is in the corner of a small strip mall and parking is plentiful. There were plenty of open washers and dryers (of all sizes), and the attendant on duty was visible and very helpful. The washers and dryers were about $5 each (some more, some less) and the change machine is under lock and key. Something that struck me funny, behind the little counter is the normal detergents, bleaches, and softeners, but tucked in a little case was 8 bottle of Grey Flannel cologne. :) read more

I really liked this laundromat. Everything was very clean and new. I didn't see any machines out of order or the bill exchange machine out of order. You can tell the owner makes sure everything is operable and in good condition. It was well lit, plenty of seating, plenty of options for washer size, and good dryers. read more
