I was in and out for a general cleaning, got a referral to fix an annoying gum problem that the family dentist shop never addressed, and an xray review of my teeth all in less than 30 minutes. I have had dental issues before and so, when she was suggesting a procedure to reveal more tooth, cutting away gum tissue, so casually, I knew this was really an oral surgery procedure, and she was NOT an oral surgeon. While she might have been able to do this, it would have been not at all in MY best interests in light of prior dental traumas and discomfort. She was told this and said she could give me a valium. A very imo, stupid suggestion in that while I am a young senior, I am at this time using a walker and anything that would potentially make me unsteady could lead to a fall and injury would be ill advised. It became to me very apparent that she was not the type of caring professional I anticipated and was too anxious to do a procedure that would not be in MY best interests though would bring in some income for the business she was part of. I did have a follow up visit because the night of the first visit, the tooth basically disintegrated when I bit on something, and I went back to see if the treatment plan was still feasible even though I would not have her do the initial care, which I had indicated would be likely since I knew an oral surgeon. While she still thought it was doable, I had happened prior to have a visit scheduled with my retiring dds of many years. And when she saw the tooth remains, in its current condition, she was shocked, and concluded as I had, that long term the tooth was not going to survive and what was left needed to be removed and potentially replaced. To think that I went out of my way at great expense (for transportation) for this "care". The other DDS in the practice gets good reviews. For routine care perhaps they are fine. But I will not be back. Even if I lived down the block, I would hesitate. This particular DDS only enhanced my general distrust of dentists.

I cannot believe I have nor posted previously on here (see prior review on Google) but Dr. Alyssa is amazing, Halle was my hygienist and is fantastic. Both of them teach you better teeth care, and after going to the dentist for over 30 years, I should not have to be learning new things about dental care, but I had never had a dentist teach me better tips and tricks. Marne works the front desk and is so sweet always helpful. The office is set up for text reminders which is great and you can reply, even better! About today's appointment, I was eager to get a crown on a tooth that was darkening and chipping, I had a root canal years prior and never crowned it, it was showing! So it was finally part one of the crown process. It is a long appointment, but they kept it super entertaining. And Bob Ross was on the TV!! Also its freezing in there, they got me a blanket!!!! I was actually starting to relax about this process. The time the doctor spent making sure my TEMPORARY Crown was perfectly blended was just seriously top notch, I don't think I'd ever imagined a doctor spending the time to do that for a crown I will have less than 3 weeks! She is so meticulous in the best way! I cannot say I love the picture I have attached, but I love that my previously dead tooth now blends in so well that it looks more real than a real (yet crooked) tooth does! I was already feeling so lucky, happy to pay whatever was due, and I paid the reasonable amount and asked what part 2 would cost in a few weeks. Marne made my night when she told me what I paid today covered part 2 as well! This has a very great dental visit!

I expressed that I did not know about this policy, I wasn't informed about policy prior to & I have full dental insurance coverage. The Office Manager didn't even attempt to come & speak with me regarding this matter. I was refused care because did not to pay for my visit upfront, to later reimbursed by my insurance company. This is so inconvenient for me because I moved to Las Vegas, NV the week my procedure was done. And now I'll prolly most like have to cancel my work and my birthday this year which is on Dec, 17th. Ask for promised follow-up, you may be disappointed and they simply disregard their own promises. Finally, I found the dental cleanings a real disappointment .
