Teen son acne, allergic reaction care, skin cancer prevention and just general skin health care. This may sound ridiculous but they feel like an extended family, the office personal are so inviting and remember me and family everytime, same with any techs they have and ofcourse the doctor. I always feel so well taken care of and that there is a genuine quality here you can't find in many places if at all anymore. As an older mom now, I also like to indulge in things like Botox, I feel much better getting this done from a doctor than a pop up type Botox environment. If something was to go wrong or to have a reaction, a doctor is much more capable in that situation. Highly recommend if you need dermatology care in the High Desert area.

My parents also make the drive from Orange County to see Dr. Hoffman. Because Dr. Hoffman is thorough, he detected and treated a Basal and Squamous Cell Skin Cancer early in Dad; not only saving his life, but early enough to avoid radiation or chemo. In addition, Dr. Hoffman has a wonderful team working for him. Jan, his office manager, does an excellent job running the office, and she is always kind and pleasant on the phone and in person. They verified Insurance while I was on the phone--VERY proficient and we scheduled the appt. Met with Laura, Medical Assistant, and she was VERY kind and accommodating to assist my 92-year-old mother to the exam room and helped her to change. Normally, we ONLY meet with the Doctor, but this was an urgent appt and had to meet with the PA, Ethan--and he was BRILLIANT!!! Conducted a thorough exam and evaluation of the area, identified the issue, spent the time needed to learn the history of the issue, discussed preventative measures, explained the prescriptions, each medication and exactly when, where and how to utilize! Provided additional information in the event things did NOT improve and scheduled a follow-up. We are VERY PLEASED and believe me, I am NOT easy to please when it comes to my mother's medical care--I will ONLY accept the BEST Practitioners as should everyone. I told them I could get there by 1pm. I showed up at 12:48 and filled out my paperwork. The office was packed and there was no AC running ( on a 102° day!) I finally asked if I could just wait in my car since I wasn't feeling good due to the heat. They said sure and would call me when it was my turn. I finally went in at 2:10 and was told I would be coming up next but no time of when. I asked why they called me in 2 hours early only to have me wait an hour an 15 minutes. The front desk person was nice enough and apologized for the delay but I just let them know I couldn't wait anymore and canceled my appointment. Don't call people in early if you're going to have them wait that long and get some AC if you're an office in the high desert!
