I was a patient for about 10 years and thought he was good. He was always skittish about discussing…read morethe cost of anything and if I questioned the safety of fluoride he immediately fought back with the ADA saying it was safe. He also pushes for full x-rays every appointment, again using the ADA as his shield. He does not have a hygienist - more $$ in his pocket. I thought it was best having the dentist do the cleaning, but two dentists since have said: "no way, dentists never clean like a hygienist." I had amalgams removed elsewhere that he put in and found out how aggressive he was at cutting away healthy teeth. I wish I never let him pick up a drill. Bernie is stuck in the old days where he gets you on a path from a little filling to inevitably every procedure on every tooth until you do 32 root canals and have a full mouth of bridges and crowns. Never ever anything about ways to preserve teeth and alternatives to big procedures except brushing and flossing. Also - it was always weird how hard they pushed a candy bar at me after each appointment.

Every single time my daughter went for an adjustment I was back there within a week for a broken wire or a bracket that had fallen off - I had 12 emergency visits in 2021 alone - and it wasn't like my kid was chewing on rocks . So with the 12 emergency visits and scheduled regular visits I was there appx 20 times this year - this place is a part time job that you don't get paid for - and good luck getting an afternoon appointment to fix the broken wires - their options are always in the morning - i guess they forget that people work aNd children go to school - I finally demanded that her braces be removed and will be going elsewhere for her retainer - run far away !

The dentist and his wonderful staff but him at ease. The care and thoughtfulness has only grown over the years. From front desk to hygienists and the addition of Dr. Sceppaguercio has only made our trips to the dentist better. By the way we moved 2 years ago and travel an hour for visits. They are that great.

My daughter has Autism and can easily sniff out disingenuous people. She loved Dr Martino (and so did we)! He got her out of pain with the right recommendations to repair the tooth.
