I called to confirm that they were able to evaluate my failing implants and then recommend a course of treatment. I spoke with John, who answered the phone and suggested making an appointment at my convenience. When I arrived today, the first thing I noticed was the cleanliness of the waiting room. John was at the reception desk and greeted me. He was very personable and welcoming which put me at ease immediately. I had completed my paperwork at home and handed it to him along with my dental insurance card. Shortly thereafter, I was greeted by a very pleasant dental assistant who guided me to a treatment room, there she asked my permission to take radiographs. During this process, we talked about several subjects of interest to us both, including books. She informed me that the dentist would be in shortly. The dentist had reviewed the radiographs and agreed that 2 implants were failing. I had mentioned my negative experience with Trailhead Dental and my positive experience with Peak OFMS. He claimed that he knew Dr. Nouri and would contact him next week to discuss my options. Although, I am still uncertain of my future I will say that all in all, I walked away feeling confident that I made the right decision when I contacted this practice.

Dr Bennett and his team have integrity and it really shows with their work. Recently I came in after not having a cleaning in a long time. Dr Bennett explained the condition of my teeth, where things looked good and potential areas of concern. It was almost like he was explaining it to a first year dental student, and it helped demystify the process. Ultimately, my teeth passed the inspection, and I did not need any additional work. I was happy to hear that, though it was his X-ray explanations that gave me peace of mind. Also, I had a question about whitening products. His staff told me the pros and cons of each method so I can make an educated choice for my teeth, instead of just encouraging the most expensive option. They truly look out for the well being of the patient.

The final straw was my chart not being updated so it said I was still pregnant. That part is fine but the hygienist said "so did you have a miscarriage?" Like wtf who asks that . I selected Edgewater Modern Dentistry during open enrollment because of its convenient location to…read moremy home. Unfortunately, this has been one of the most frustrating healthcare experiences I've had. After my initial visit on January 19th, I was told I needed a crown and that they would send a treatment plan with details. When they failed to do so, I had to follow up in early February. On February 18th, Mary finally emailed me a treatment plan with a cost share that was $800 MORE than what my handbook stated. I immediately responded asking her to double-check this significant discrepancy. She never replied. I followed up again on February 24th and March 2nd - still no response. Mary finally responded on March 5th, explaining they wanted to use their updated CEREC machine for a "stronger" same-day crown instead of the standard D2740 crown covered by my plan. This felt like an upselling tactic rather than necessary treatment. I called on March 9th to discuss getting the standard covered crown, and was told Mary would call me back that day. She didn't. I called again on Thursday and had to escalate to their corporate office. Now I'm waiting again for a returned call. It has been almost 2 full months since being told I needed a crown, with multiple ignored emails and unreturned phone calls. The combination of poor communication, billing discrepancies, and apparent upselling tactics makes this an easy decision - I do not recommend this practice.

No tooth enamel, a genetic defect. I started in heavy duty dentistry at age 7, I'm now 67. I know from dentists. Crowns, root canals, endo work (old school, tissue removed from the roof of your mouth..etc), extractions, teeth that grew in sideways and grew into my jaw; you name it. I've had more novocaine shots in my mouth than you've had meals. I've had mean competent dentists, nice incompetent dentists, cruel and kind dental hygienists, I could go on but won't. There are Ferraris inside my mouth, unfortunately some others dentists are driving them, not me. Three years with these folks, always a great experience. Diane at the front desk, the doctor, everyone. New hygienist (to me) Eva today, just awesome. It was almost fun. Almost. He gives you solid information and options, never pushy. Today, because I procrastinated after 10 days (ok, a year or more...) of denial and pain, I learned he's gonna have to bring out the big guns. C'est la vie. This is my guy for the work. I don't think you'll find a better dentist or staff, anywhere.
