Very friendly dentist! He is time-efficient, knowledgeable and professional. The office is clean and his supporting staff made me feel very comfortable. I haven't been to the dentist in almost 8 years, and I was shocked that I experienced zero problems or anxieties with Dr.Vaccaro. He doesn't push un-necessary work on you, you're in & out of the office in what feels like a blink of the eye, and he takes the time to educate you during his services. I had my first filling performed today, as well as some restorative cleaning. It went very smooth and as previously mentioned, I was in and out within less than an hour. Great Dentist ! I have been seeing Dr. Vaccaro for many years now and I can honestly say he is the Best dentist Ive ever been to. He's always patient and proficent at what he does and never leaves you without a great smile when he is done working on your teeth. Dr. Thomas Vaccaro is a hidden gem. I've been to many dentists over the years due to several relocations and have realized that there are good, bad and great dentists out there. Some will recommend or take an unnecessarily aggressive approach towards dentistry, partially out of inexperience or because they're just not invested in their patients. I was anxious going to a new dentist but wanted to establish care with somebody closer to home. I'm lucky to have stumbled across Dr. Vaccaro. When I first called to ask about a tooth issue, he very patiently spent over 10 minutes helping answer my questions and address my concerns. He also offered for me to come in for an evaluation at no charge. The doctor put my anxiety at ease and was not judgmental at all. Moreover, he was also able to address the sensitivity of the tooth. Today I had a cavity filled by him and by far it was the most thorough and stress free experience I've had at a dentist. I could tell he put in extra effort and time to maintain as much of the structure and integrity of the tooth as possible and treated it as if it were his own tooth. I moved to NoVa 10 years ago. I have gone through 3 dentists before finding Dr. Vaccaro. One dentist tried to drill my tooth to fix a cavity with no novacaine, another screwed my molar up so bad I had to have it taken out. There aren't sufficient words to describe how great a dentist Dr. Vaccarro is, but I'll try. Our first meeting was via phone at 9 PM on a Friday when I called as a non-patient to see if he could fix my tooth that had just broken. He was kind, arranged his schedule to meet me the next morning and carefully and kindly fixed my tooth. He's conservative in that he does the least invasive first, then moves on if needed. He treats you with respect and understanding. I've NEVER had a dentist - in my 40 years - that I could even tolerate much less like, and while I still don't want to go to the dentist, this is the first time I'm not afraid. I spent more decades than I care to confess, being terrified of the dentist chair. I finally found a dentist who does everything right--from NOT overbooking (read that minimal to no waiting time) to apparently putting his family first and not working Fridays! I no longer dread going to the dentist and that knot in my stomach is long gone. Honestly, he seems to have a gift for dealing with us dental phobics. Dr. V gives a gentle numbing shot, doesn't use those hideous metal impression trays (no more gagging!) explains everything and appears to have all the time in the world by your side. Of course I've been impressed by his skill, pricing, and attitude, but I've been equally impressed by his state of the art treatment without glorifying the process over the patient. And his avid interest in the arts. And his kind considerate treatment of his staff. Too bad the ratings stop at five stars. He deserves twice that. read more

I recently moved here and went to Dr. Vacarro based on his internet reviews. I'm 56 and my career has me moving frequently so I've had a lot of dentists. But Dr Vacarro is the best dentist I've ever had! He is very personable and professional at the same time. "Oh, look at your tooth. I had the same thing two years ago", then draws a diagram to show you what he's going to do. I needed two complicated procedures and he said that although he could do them, I would be in better hands with specialists so he sent me to an oral surgeon for a difficult extraction, then to an endodontist for a very difficult root canal. I respect him greatly for putting my best interest over the chance to charge me a lot of money. He also found a small hole in a crown that others had missed. He truly puts his patients first and does excellent work to boot! I'll be moving again soon and wish I could bring him with me. read more

I have always had a great experience, I highly recommend him if you are looking for a new dentist. He is friendly and easy going while putting a patient at ease. Dr. Vaccaro listens before doing any work, he explains all procedures very carefully. He will help you consider all of your options I have recommended Dr. Vaccaro to many friends and family members. They have all been very pleased. His office it's what a visit to the dentist should be like. He is always on time, it is rare that you have to wait. If he is running 10 minutes late he apologizes. I go back every 6 months for my check up and cleanings. Brenda his hygienist is the best. I have had a few friends with dental emergencies, of course the emergencies are always on Saturdays.
