Hey Jeanine J.- The Lord and Taylor Clinic is Charity Hospital, genius. Where do you think free…read morecare comes from in Louisiana? There's no excuse for trashing the wrong institution! That said, I'm treated at part Lord and Taylor, and for you carpetbaggers that's the old Lord and Taylor store on Poydras by the SuperDome, and I get the rest of my care at an actual LSU clinic. Both can be huge pains to deal with but what did you expect in a city that's still half destroyed? Don't trash LSU medicine over somebody's idiot cousin who has a Civil Service job as political nepotism. LSU means the clinics Uptown and in Kenner. That said, I've been at LSUHSC since 1994. It's amazing! They rebuilt me after being dragged under a truck in 2000. And yes, they did improvements and made me better than I was. LSU Faculty have, or had, international reputations and people came from around the world. After the Federal Flood a lot of Best in World docs left and I can't blame them all things considered. But the staff has been rebuilt with a lot of real quality people in their fields, and it's still the best in the region even if they have to refer you to Tulane for a few things. Locals should understand that few places are 100% even now, in 2011. If you're carpetbagging you need a reality adjustment, especially if you can't understand that letter is nonsense talk to anyone who's never been through the new appointment system at the state run facility. Or Charity, Or the Sisters of Charity, or whatever people who still "run to K&B" are calling it. So, LSUHSC means faculty. Free and sliding scale means faculty supervising residents at Charity. People who need free care just have to get it together and read the appointment letter and follow instructions instead of trashing the wrong institution! And people with amazingly bad grammar who didn't grow up maneuvering at Charity can go back to where ever they came from if they can't adapt and ask how the appointment system works. Most support staff at Lord and Taylor are excellent!

Here at the Lsu clinics you can receive a number of Healthcare services at a lower cost. Some…read moreservice includes eyes, dentist, diabetic, heart and etc...So this seemed like a great idea, it's like a one stop shop being that I have had diabetes since childhood, this mean I could receive my care at one place. Well this really turned out to be a nightmare on Poydras St. I made a appointment, it was confirmed on the phone and by mail meaning a letter was sent to my home with Time and Date saying arrive 45mins before scheduled appt, So when arriving on time to my scheduled appt with my letter, a front desk worker told me my appt had been change to the next month, I ask why and she give me a some excuse, then I ask how do I get my prescriptions, so they give me the run around, finally I receive my Rx, I get to the pharmacy they tell me that the Rx is written wrong, So I show up at the next appt the same thing happens again, they tell me my appt has been change because the Doctor was scheduled off today. This has never happen to me in my 25yrs of receiving Healthcare and I have reported this to Lsu Healthcare system, And in this review I'm writing only half of what happen, it's much more that can be said about there service, if you want good Healthcare then this is not the place for it. I'm giving it 2 stars only because I met a nurse there, she was really caring, understanding and helpful, She help me get my meds I needed. I will not say her name but I did call Lsu to give her a compliment for being so caring, Maybe in the near future they will get it together.
