Although everyone was welcoming and kind, when talking with the pastor, his eyes seemed to glaze over as he was giving me his welcome speech. It seemed a bit rehearsed, and like he was trying to be Steven Furtik. In addition, when listening to his sermons, it was evident that this pastor has no biblical teaching, hasn't attended any sort of seminary and therefore quite a bit of what he was saying wasn't connected together, was based on what old churches have said in the past, and the scripture presented didn't seem to match up to what was being said. I would check out another church that seems to have a multitude of biblically sound leaders and a responsive congregation.

The teachers have been very supportive through cloth diapering, paced feeding, a slew of food allergies and needing asthma medications. My 3 year old absolutely loves all of the teachers and admins. He frequently talks about them and asks to go play with them on weekends. They have a robust, play centered curriculum which includes some functional Spanish. There are several enrichment programs including music with 1 and 2 year olds and my son loves taekwondo on Fridays!

It seems like all of the other teachers in addition to the office/administrative staff all know our child's name, too, which is very impressive. They are kind and have so many fun, engaging, age-appropriate activities for our child to participate in each day. Although our child has not been there long, there's always a smile and outstretched open arms for the main teacher and that says something to us! We also appreciate the great menu/nutrition and find this to be SIGNIFICANTLY better than the other daycare our child was at. I should mention that they also provide part-time care, which is a wonderful option to accommodate different work schedules. Needless to say, we are satisfied and plan to stay there for a long time!

I am amazed that we have such a great resource here in town. If you need an advocate to attend a meeting with you, they can arrange for that. If you need a support group, they have those. They can even set you up with "companion calls" to get you through the time between support group sessions. There are snacks provided, with little notes of encouragement provided by UNC students (a sorority I think). If you need individual counseling, they have that too. If transportation is an issue, they can arrange that for you while protecting your anonymity. All of this, it's not magic and doesn't always run perfectly, but thank G-d they are here. I don't know how they do it, but somehow they do. The location is on a bus line and not too far from UNC campus, and not overly visible from the street (i.e., one does not feel overexposed going in). The facilities are a little old, but work just fine. I wanted to leave this review to encourage people who are on the fence to reach out, as terrifying or uncertain as it may feel. It can be really scary to call or walk into a place called a "rape crisis center." I'm glad that I did.

We searched high AND low, visiting several local child care centers only to be disappointed in what was available in Knightdale, until we walked into Cathy Lee's. This place, owners and it's caregivers are amazing. We had our child in their care from 7months old to the start of Kindergarten and she learned so much while she was there. They are a family business and truly care about the children. Any issue I ever had was dealt with swiftly and with respect for us and our child's best interests. I can't say enough about how great this center is!!! Occasionally we still call them to help us with child care now that she is older and has Teacher Work Days when she is out of school. They have track out facilities across the street! This place is GREAT!!!!
