I was a little apprehensive about the service we would get as in the past it was never known as an upmarket hotel, but everything was spot on and indeed it now has 4 stars. The staff went out of their way to help us set up our conference rooms, ran and got anything we needed and made sure that all the catering was exactly on time. I stayed the night before the conference and my room was really nice - plenty of room, TV and better than average furniture, bathroom and bedding. Much better than I was expecting. Breakfast the next morning was tasty and nicely presented and the Ulster Fry was grease free. Morning and afternoon breaks and lunches were good too. - freshly cooked tasty food, and lots of it. Afternoon break included fresh cream pastries which went down very well too. The Park Avenue is a lovely hotel where the staff deliver excellent service. The weekend break at £90 per person for 2 nights, breakfast and 1 dinner is outstanding value so give it a go.

I personally hate travel brochures as they leave me cold and confused, as it is difficult to properly estimate prices from there, and it is impossible to tell where is actually good, so I think travel agents are very useful places! Staff are crucial in travel agents for ensuring that you get te best possible advice and information about potential holidays and any information you might need about the place itself. The staff in here were great, as they suggested a wide range of different deals to me and my girlfriend, as we only came in with a vague idea of where we would like to go, not about where we would actually like to go! They got us sorted out within an hour, and everything went smooth there after. They contacted us as soon as our tickets arrived and were only too happy to sort us out with all the advice we needed about our chosen destination! All in all, I couldn't Knock the service I received here!

Sydenham Railway Station is wedged between Holywood Railway Station and Bridge End, it provides a…read moreuseful transport link to George Best Belfast City Airport. Although this is all it really provides, it has no ticketing facilities and no real amenities. Tickets for onward train journeys can be purchased on board the trains from conductors. The only real feather in Sydenhams cap is its proximity to the City airport. Once you depart the train the airport is only a footbridge away. The footbridge runs over the Sydenham Bypass. Sydenham is also the stop to depart at if you wish to visit "The Oval" home of Glentoran Football Club and host to Northern Ireland Under 21 Football matches. As with most other none major Railway Stations on the Bangor to Belfast Line Sydenham operates tow platforms, one that operates services to Belfast Central, Great Victoria Street, Portadown and Newry and the other running trains going towards Bangor via Holywood, Cultra, Marino, Helens bay, Caralea and Bangor West. Express Services are also available at peak times.

Press a button on the other side and the airport will send its free shuttle bus to collect you! (Sometimes they even see you crossing the bridge and send the bus in advance!) The bridge is also an alternative entrance into Victoria Park for pedestrians and joggers! A great station in a great location!

I never knew Bath House existed until introduced to it by Belfast Art Tours (Bus and Walking Tours)…read moreon 03/08/17. Located behind Templemore Swimming Baths, having previously been home to the swimming pool caretaker, the building has now been commandeered by a group of local Artists who run it as an exhibition space. Because it's a small, red-brick house it manages to feel warm and inviting whilst showcasing contemporary, dynamic work. This welcoming vibe's a huge bonus as so many art spaces can feel cold and unwelcoming. I absolutely loved community organisation, Infinity Farm's bee garden - designed specifically to attract and nourish bees. This was perfectly complemented by Diving Station, an audio-installation by Colm Clarke. All of this was on display in a small outside courtyard area. Inside Bath House there was an exhibition of intriguing black and white geometric drawings by Gary Shaw. I also enjoyed the fact that the Artists were there in person to give a brief talk about their art, its meaning and inspiration. Templemore Swimming Bath is still a fully functioning swimming pool in which Bath House hold art events such as poolside watercolour classes, complete with catering by local Chefs! Probably one of my favourite art spaces in Belfast.
