I go to the midtown "office." They canceled my appointment because the doctor was sick (that happens) and rescheduled me for a different location. But -- they can't transfer the medicine. They even sent me to the wrong suite number. So, I took time off work and couldn't get a shot. Because midtown is only open on Friday mornings, I can't get back in for weeks because I am out of town on upcoming Fridays. I'll be switching practices. read more

Ive been there for several years following their advice with no relief or real answers. The NP gives out recommendations on medications without doing any research on potential side effects and glosses over questions without care or consideration. Please think twice before seeing this office. You might think you have an appt with Dr Chacko but you are lucky if you see him in the building, you will most certainly only talk to a NP who are not helpful and extremely rude. read more

We were hopeful to start food sensitivity treatments with Dr. Chacko. However our first two appointments were cancelled. We drove 30 miles to the Woodstock office for the rescheduled appointment and once there were told the office was closed and all appointments cancelled. we were never sent a message regarding the cancellation. Total scam using bait and switch. I made appointment for allergy testing and explained very clearly what my issue was (I'm an RN and am very familiar with symptoms). However, when I arrived to my appointment, I was met by a nurse practitioner who asked a few questions about my symptoms and then said another doctor at another location does their skin testing. Then, another staff member came in to give me the paperwork on the doctor they were sending me to. I asked why no one told me they don't do allergy testing over the phone because this had been a waste of my time and the other doctor was in Druid Hills, not at all close to me. He replied that maybe it could be done at this location but I'd have to go through the other doctor. Upon checkout, I inquired about the charges for the visit, since I never saw a doctor and no assessment was done- they didn't even take my blood pressure lol and I was told my insurance was being charged $200!! I wasn't even in their office 30 minutes. Total waste and scamming insurance company! I will be getting allergy test elsewhere. read more

I was on allergy treatment with Chacko Allergy for several years but stopped during the COVID-19 pandemic. Even though I stopped, Chacko Allergy charged my account for serum creation without my knowledge or consent. This was against the policy I thought they used for the years I was in the program. I called the billing department to resolve this issue, and they said they are working on it. read more

Do not waste your time and money going to Chacko Allergy. While the doctors are nice, especially Dr. Edwards-Salmon, you will be upcharged for your allergy shots and lose your mind trying to contact the office. The only number you can contact is for the front office which has no connection to the nurses/doctors or billing, so they are essentially useless. I have had to call innumerable times asking for a call back to schedule my next shot or ask a question, and either never receive a call back at all or get one when it's too late and I've missed my window. This is insane for a practice where you need good communication to schedule frequent shots. Now I'm trying to pay off my balance and can't get in touch with the billing office because they only respond to email, which doesn't really work well when you're trying to relay sensitive credit card information. My entire experience has been so frustrating and I really believe that this place is just a money-making scam. I compared the prices I was charged compared to other allergy practices in Atlanta, and it is wild how much more they charge at Chacko. $50 for just a routine allergy shot? On top of that, the practice is run so poorly with this useless front office staff who are unable to schedule appointments, talk about billing, answer any allergy-related questions...so what is the point? After a process of a couple of months my daughter was able to eat a peanut today. She is highly allergic and we have faced needing to rush to the ER when she ate a cross contaminated broccoli. It was scary to start the process, willingly increasing a protein that can cause a life threatening reaction. But Dr. Chacko and Amanda who helped us through this process where absolutely amazing I will be forever grateful to have seen her eat a peanut and the relief we feel knowing that we may be able to protect her from a anaphylactic reaction. My daughter has been seeing Dr. Chacko since 2014 for allergy shots. While I have no complaints about Dr. Chacko himself, his office/scheduling is not very good. On multiple occasions we've arrived to have a shot (30 minute drive each way) only to be told our appointment is actually the next week, or they've canceled the appointment...after we've already arrived. I wouldn't mind this if it only happened once or twice but it happens quite frequently. Also, I've called a few times in the past and left a message only to never receive a return call. There are plenty of other providers you can consider before coming here-save yourself the time wasted in cancelled/incorrect appointments. read more

Dr Chacko is brilliant and employs the latest, cutting edge therapies. My son is anaphylactic to peanuts and now eats 3 peanuts a day after successfully undergoing Oral Immunotherapy (OIT) with Dr. Chacko. People drive from all over the Atlanta area to see him. It is such a relief not to have to stress over cross contamination and allergic reactions. I would highly recommend Dr. Chacko. Our entire family sees him for seasonal and animal allergies as well. read more

Full reason for this. The offices of DR Chacko are definitely scammy. They overcharge and under deliver. I had a basic (very basic) allergy test done at this office. 2 months later I received a bill for 1745$. They never contacted myself or my insurance company to settle this. After a frantic pediatric ER trip 8 months ago, we had found a local allergist & were told our baby was egg allergic. We avoided eggs, moved to Georgia, and found Dr Chacko. We were shocked to have 2 tests show she didn't have any egg allergies, so we started adding back baked goods either gg before coming in for a food trial in the office. After a frittata & 2 hours of waiting (the egg eating was methodically paced over the morning) - no reaction! It's amazing that Dr Chacko was able to help us rule out any allergy after such a short window! We are very relieved and thankful to Dr Chacko. read more

Dr Chacko... should be Dr Shock...o...because it is a shock from the first time you try to telephone Dr Chacko's office....you get an Ear Nose and Throat doctor......NOT AN ALLERGIST Office that you expected to reach!!...He doesn't even have his own direct line..once you finally get an appointment, the office staff is sad and acted like they couldn't care less. I have seen Dr Chacko twice and never once did he even sit down!! You are definitely given "the bum's rush" with this doctor!!! I have been ill for over 3 months. My symptoms started as a tightness in my chest, then I developed a cough. Fatigue, often severe, soon set in. Since then I have had a sore throat, hoarseness, headaches, body aches, chills, shortness of breath, and GI upset. I have been on 2 rounds of steroids, 2 different antibiotics, several asthma/allergy medications (rx and OTC), and none of them have improved my symptoms. I am currently receiving no treatment. I have been to Urgent Care twice, the ER, had visits with an infectious disease doctor, had visits with 2 different pulmonologists, and am now seeing an allergist. I have had 3 chest xrays, an echocardiogram, and a CT of my chest. I have had more blood draws and blood tests than I can count. I have had allergy skin prick tests. I have been tested for Flu, Covid, common bacterial and viral infections, and I'm, not even sure what else. The only tests that have come back abnormal have been the allergy tests. Despite this, I am not receiving treatment for allergies. I saw an Dr Chacko, an allergist, 3 weeks ago. He confirmed my allergies and remarked how unusual it is that my allergies have not responded to treatment. He ordered a methacholine challenge test to get more information. Since then, I have asked his office numerous times regarding the status of the order, where it was sent, when it was sent, and who to talk to about the order. I have gotten so many mixed stories that I do not know the truth. I do not know for certain where the test was sent, and no one has called me to schedule the test as promised by Dr Chacko's office staff. I feel that Dr Chacko's office staff have had ample time to answer my questions regarding where the order was sent and who I need to call to schedule the test, but 3 weeks later, I still have no definitive answers. My quality of life is less than what it was. I am suffering. Some days the fatigue is so bad that I sleep for 12 hours and do not feel rested. The tightness in my chest feels like someone constantly pushing on my chest and holding my airways. The coughing has been so bad that I developed body aches severe enough for it to take an hour to crawl out of bed in the morning. Without this test, Dr Chacko will not prescribe treatment, but I feel that it is impossible to get any information on how to get this test from Dr Chacko's office. I feel like my case has been dropped or neglected. I am posting this message in several places in an attempt to get more information from Dr Chacko's office regarding the status of my test because simply calling his office with the same questions over 3 weeks is not enough to get an answer. I am also posting to ask why it has taken this long for me to still have no answers regarding the status of this test and why no one will answer me. Every answer I have gotten so far has later turned out to be false or incorrect. Dr Chacko and Dr Chacko's office staff: will you please answer me truthfully and help me get this test done so that I might have a small chance of recovering from whatever has been making me ill for more than 3 months? If you will not, please just tell me so I can find another doctor. read more

Was able to be seen within 1week as a new patient (in Duluth) Got into exam room within 5 minutes after arriving to the office, and another 10 minutes to be seen by Dr. Chacko. Very efficient doctor. I was able to get answers to my hives and food allergies. Left the office very happy. Highly recommend this place. read more

Dr. Chacko has been a huge help. After not being able to eat peanuts for 10 years we came in and did a scratch test. He went above and beyond to test for more than what i asked for. I ended up getting back peanuts, almonds, walnuts and shellfish! He is the sweetest human and easy to talk to. His assistants are great, sweet and skilled. Not only this but Dr. Chacko is highly decorated as an allergist. Highly recommend 100%!!! read more

What an amazing Doctor. My daughter's lips were swelling and we were told to go to the ER. We had heard great stuff about this doctor and I drove to his office without an appointment, as he is an allergist near me and I did not want to deal with the ER. He was headed to the airport but saw us despite being NEW patients, and despite him being in a hurry to get on a flight with his wife. Amazing. Truly impressed by his care for patients and their cause. Highly educated and friendly, his staff too were very laid back and accommodative. We went to the Johns Creek location. read more
