They are unwilling to change the bill coding so that your insurance will cover the bill, they don't tell you the patient what examination is being performed and the office is incompetent to perform the paperwork that the insurance company has informed the patient of needing to be performed. I went for an annual exam, however little did I know they coded it as a check-up and my insurance company does not cower those at the 100% rate. I called my insurance and they explained what they coded the bill ass and to discuss it with the medical office. I proceed to being told that it will be investigated by the coding office, the coding office never contacted me to verify my claims and said it was correct. Basically get scammed because a few employees cant tell the patient what the type of treatment is being performed and they be on the hook for the bill. I have never in my life had a worst experience with billing office by a medical provider.

The service does not help you; they say someone will call you back. They never do! It is virtually impossible to get an appointment with your doctor. You have to wait weeks or a month. I had to drive to their office to get help, but I still didn't receive any assistance. The doctor is great! Getting to him is horrible. If you need help, this is not the place to go!

I have patronized this urgent care center (at Five Forks and Killian Hill) through the entirety of…read moreits existence and through all of its buyouts. It is fairly typical of an urgent care center - often long waits, but less than an ER, a good way to get a quick appointment when you're sick. The care is usually good. However, I recently took my son there because he complained that his arm was hurting a lot after a fall playing soccer. I was convinced something was wrong, but the doctor on shift took one look at his arm, said "It's not very swollen. He doesn't need an x-ray - it's just a minor sprain. Put him in a wrist brace for 5-7 days and he will be fine." My son (7 years old) wore the brace for another day, but his pain kept increasing until he was inconsolable. I took him to an orthopedic urgent care center and found it was not a sprain - it wasn't even his wrist. HIS ARM WAS BROKEN. The lazy doctor at Piedmont couldn't be bothered to x-ray my son's injured arm, thinking he knew better, and he COMPLETELY MISSED A BROKEN ARM. Parents, don't let "trained medical professionals" talk you out of scans your gut tells you you need. They don't know everything, and you should advocate for yourselves and your kids.

The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, and the doctor was the same way. My daughter and I felt at ease the whole time. The facilities were clean and well maintained. I definitely would recommend Sunshine Urgent Care! :D

Once they see the doc, it was 6:30 PM and the doc says he has Cellulitis, needs to have an IV treatment at a hospital and sends him away. They are open until 7. So, they go to the hospital, I arrive ther and the caregiver is relieved and we wait for another 3 hours...the doc writes a prescription for my dad. I ask what about the IV...why he was sent to the hospital? She said he did not have a fever and there was no need for anything other than the prescription, unless he develops a fever. I regaled the story given to us, and the ER doc said that was their standard MO. So....one bill, that has not yet arrived is for the urgent care facility, and another bill is for the emergency room visit...which was not really required....if the urgent care doc would have just taken the 15 minutes to look at my dad and write the prescription. You ought to be ashamed of the way you treat people. Fail.
