She treated me as if I was ignorant. She admitted I have thyroid nodules or cysts in my throat but doesn't want to do anything. Every concern I had was met with an excuse: for example: Me: I'm hoarse. Doctor S: you might have allergies, my voice is hoarse. Me: my throat hurts. Doctor S: you might have reflux. Honestly, based on my experience, it seems she is biased and the lack of care seems racist. I had to push her until she requested bloodwork. Because my blood work doesn't show a surface answer, I haven't gotten a call for a biopsy. It's as if these growths in my neck will remain until something worse happens. As a patient I have a right to complain to the state.

I went from one extreme to the other with my condition under their "care"! You can never get past their automated phone system and response times to nurse calls can be 4 - 5 days later. I gave them a year to see if the care I was receiving was a fluke but no it wasn't. If you want someone that isn't guessing at how to treat you, don't go there! Several friends have also used this group and have had similar experiences. I have NEVER heard a good word about them and now I can attest to those statements!

I…read morebegan to fill out the paperwork and came across the statement all bills are to be paid out in 120 days or it will be turned over to collections. I called to verify was the information correct as I feel that as long as regular monthly payments are made that should be sufficient. Whose to say how much a bill will end up being especially at a specialist! As a healthcare professional of 20 years, it saddens me and I been realized a long time ago why people choose not to see doctors. This is added stress to their situation to worry about paying bills sometimes especially within a specific time frame. Healthcare went down years ago. I updated this review for this facility from 1 star to 3 stars because I received a letter a few weeks later from someone who took the time to reach out and that was thoughtful, but I still have yet to go.

I am so happy I have found Dr. Anbar Ahmad. After going to…read moreLaureate Medical Care for 7 years and not having my A1C and my thyroid levels improving at all I finally found her. For the 1st visit I had an on-site appointment and even though she was talking 10 mph I felt very informed. I left that 1st appointment very satisfied impressed with how much information she wrote tor me. After the appointment I called up my brother, who is also a doctor (a gastroenterologist), and he was even impressed with how detailed and thorough she was in the notes she gave me. After she got my blood test results from Labcorp she immediately followed up with me and told me what I should be doing to control my sugar and what time I should be eating every meal to control my thyroid function in my body. For my 2nd and 3rd appointments I had virtual visitdms and I was impressed with that call as well, even though we had a bad connection. She called me back immediately, apologized for the dropped call, even though it was not her fault, and we continued our conversation. She followed up that call with my labcorp results again, advised me on what I should be doing to correct my sugars even further and told me the prescription she was calling in. She even recommended natural solutions to my problems when I told her I did not like taking more medicine and then she answered all the rest of my questions. For the 3rd appointment, she even called me from her car when she found out that the nurse practitioner that was filling in for her was behind on her calls. Now that is a great doctor. She really cares about her patients and how well you are doing. If you are looking for an endocrinologist I would really recommend you go see Dr. Anbar. Even the front desk customer service is great.

When I mentioned it to my rheumatologist who referred me to them originally, they said, yes, we stopped referring patients to them because all we got was complaints. I don't know what is going on, but messing around with people's health and medications and not responding is the reason I left after being here for years. Doctors were nice. Office is not.
