a bar with a ladder

This is a very calm spot to go to with family or friends to catch a drink or two. Friendly owners and bartenders and very good appetizers. Easy atmosphere with a cool vibe

As soon as I saw this bar existed I knew I wanted to try it out, so for my birthday my girlfriends and I headed to Mandan! Immediately I liked the atmosphere and the playlist was excellent! I was impressed by the menu as well! My friends tried the little waitress cocktail which they loved and I took a sip and it was great! Like a creamsicle. I tried the Louise Wiley at our bartender's recommendation and oh my word what a treat and SO pretty! Absolutely delicious light cocktail. Another friend tried the Chai Again and said it was one of the best she's ever had. Overall the drinks and atmosphere were A+ Now onto the food. We ordered a charcuterie board which the carnivores loved and I thought was good (I had the bread and goat cheese what's not to like?) However it took forever to get to us. They also ordered 2 of their Mac and cheese pot pies, one chicken pot pie, and I ordered the plain Mac and cheese. It took well over an hour to get to us and none of us were super impressed with the food. The Mac and cheese must be 1/4-1/3 cup of food and that's it. Finally I ordered the cookie flight - what a fun idea! Nope. Tiny cookies cut from premade logs of dough that tasted like Pillsbury. Sooo disappointing. Also, the service overall was very hit and miss. On the plus side, the food took so long to get to us that they took it off our tab which was so nice of them. Overall - go for the atmosphere and amazing drinks! I think with a little more effort this place could rival and fancy bar on Main Street in Bismarck!

Well this place combines barber days with the stereotypical…read moreGreek/Italian work ethic (and way worse than bankers hours) as they are open from Tuesday - Friday, 11 am to 6 pm and Saturday 10:30 to 5. Unfortunately I am standing here at 1 pm on a Monday and I drove across town specifically to go to this establishment (looking for spices to be precise) and it is closed. It really amazes me that businesses aren't open when people are out shopping. Ok, celebrate the Sabbath, but What about Monday and the hours before 11 or after 6? As I stand here writing this, two other people walked up and then left. Perhaps this is what is the most aggravating part. If you know downtown Bismarck at all, you know parking can really suck, yet the owner posted an 8 1/2 x 11 sign on the door, so one has to walk up to read it, meaning parking someplace like one one of the ramps that cost money. I don't know if they even validate, but I guess I will never know now. And to think I told my daughter just last week that I no longer needed to buy my olive oil in Nashville or order spices online. Just sad.

By the the way, pinch n pour sits under one of the largest sparking ramps in the city. Awesome access.

If you look past the white pillar you can just make out the sign. Of course I couldn't read it with the shadows.

The workers were helpful and happy to recommend what to drink/eat, and they seemed to be enjoying their jobs. I ordered the reishi cacao , which is basically a hot chocolate for adults, with adaptogenic mushrooms instead of marshmallows (I didn't feel anything out of the ordinary after drinking it). It was lovely! My parents enjoyed their latte and drip coffee. The prices are great, especially when I don't have to spend $8 on a latte. The only thing I did not appreciate was they didn't post what the prices were in the pastry case (the labels only had what it was, not the price too). All in all, a great experience and a great variety to choose from. I'd like to go back to try their breakfast sandwiches. From here I took home bag of lightly roasted Ethiopian beans and made delicious pourovers for a month. I've had many pourovers at this point but these made some of the most memorable cups. During my visit I picked up a medium cold brew (excellent!) and avocado toast (avocado, tomato, sprouts, hemp seeds, chia seeds on multigrain bread, $6.00). The toast was splendid. I found no browning of the avocado and the tomatoes were fresh. I do think the bread could have been toasted longer. The service was a little awkward. I waited at the counter for a solid three minutes before I finally waved down a couple baristas chatting away. This is fine, I'm a pretty patient person and I will always support building healthy relationships with coworkers. The awkward part was the blank, unresponsive stare I received from one of the girls. Like I was breaking something up. I'll be using the drive-thru if I ever find myself here again.
