Full disclosure: I did not buy anything here. I came into the store, browsed and had questions on the bra selection but no one offered me any assistance. Two other women (with spouses) were asked if they needed assistance. I was not. I walked the periphery of the store and was there for roughly 10 minutes. While the other customers were being helped, 3 other salespeople were chatting amongst themselves, never looking my way or asking if I needed assistance. I love the interior decor (the color palette, the curtains, the seating..everything.) It's very welcoming. They have such a nice selection--my size is not commonly available in most department stores. Very unexpected experience! I had an amazing bra expert for five years in Palo Alto. She returned to her homeland and I never found another expert. I have not bought a proper bra for nine + years. Tried many, but no experts understood proper fit. Honestly, I had given up.... until this afternoon. I have walked pass this business hundreds of times with no inclination to enter, but today was different. I went in with the hope to find one bra. Just one reasonably comfortable bra. I am not an unusual size-34, A 1/2-B Well everything changed today. I walked in and heard a bunch of 'happiness' coming from the back area. This is the area with dressing rooms and seating areas. What I heard was women having a wonderful time with bras. It seemed the only thing missing was champagne. It truly sounded like a party of bra success. I was not with this group, but definitely picked up on the spirit. Chloe was assisting me. I shared all my requirements and price range. I was just hoping for one bra so I could get rid of some very old old ones. Chloe was lovely. Very helpful. The service includes actually helping you try on bras and checking fit as well as adjusting straps and suggestions if one isn't just right. The personalized service was superior! As I entered the store I was warmly greeted by Marie. I told her what my challenges were and that I was clueless on what size or styles I required. Thanks to Instagram, you find out about the latest and greatest just by scrolling. Third Love has been a company that I had been intrigued by because of how they marketed their bras. Touted as the "most comfortable" to wear is a lot to prove given that so many other brands claim the same. In the end, we as women have the ultimate say because we're the ones having to wear them. The most unique thing about these bras is that they also include half cup sizes. I don't know any other brand who does this. For me, it was only a matter of time before I would walk in and try out some of their offerings. You would think that I would come in to purchase a bra, but I didn't have the time to try one on this past Saturday when I walked in. What did I walk away with you ask? Granny panties. The bikini kind-- Exactly what I needed. Chelsea was the associate on hand and her immaculate display of underwear in a color wheel had me not wanting to mess it up by pulling and prodding my way through. I explained that my current rotation of granny panties were at the point of being tattered and over worn. It was just time for something new. Since I also didn't have time to go into a fitting room, I told her my size and pulled a pair over my leggings. They were a pair of the "Comfort Stretch Bikinis." The sizing was perfect and I had her grab 5 pairs since they were having a deal: 5 for $45 (Regularly priced at $16 each). The first thing I noticed about these undies is that they felt pretty sturdy even though they are seamless. Sometimes when you get seamless, it's really thin which lends to having them be ideal for no show panty lines. These are not like that. The material itself is on the thicker side and the elastic that runs alongside the waist and through the holes felt that they were going to last more than a few washes. As for being completely seamless underneath leggings, I beg to differ. You could still see panty lines. But, these are still better than your traditional cotton ones. Overall, I'm pretty happy with my purchase because they are comfy and will definitely work when I need them for my non- thong days. read more

I've been a fan of thirdlove for a while now. One of the only places I know that has bras in half cup sizes and it's headquartered in SF. Happy to see a brick and mortar on Fillmore in PAC Heights. You can get fitted for free and everyone who needs a bra can attest to the glory of having the right size. Staff was super nice and helpful. Was there on opening day in the opening hour. The line was about 45 minutes because they were limiting how many could be in the store. Once inside there was a bra donation bin in which you could trade an old bra for a code for a new t-shirt bra online $68 value for the first 1,000. They also had a coffee cart with 2 awesome baristas to keep you caffeinated while you shop. read more

I equate the of pleasure bra shopping to that of getting a root canal. That has changed, thanks to my experience at Thridlove. I had seen the Instagram ads, and I wasn't sure what to expect. I strolled into the store on a whim and was greeted by Leah. So friendly and welcoming, she offered to size me and help pick out some bras I might like to try on. My good friend suggested Third Love as her favorite brand of bras, which prompted me to check them out. Recently the Nordstrom lingerie section disappointed me by stating they have "contactless bra fitting" due to covid. The absurdity of hygiene theatre aside, this left space for me to find a business that recognizes how critical well fitting undergarments are to everyday life. Kate was absolutely amazing in helping me navigate their selection and find the correct sizing for my unmentionables. Yes, the irony of mentioning my unmentionables isn't lost on me. I purchased Third Love bras online a few years ago, but I outgrew them during the pandemic. I was SO EXCITED when I heard they opened a retail store in San Francisco because I previously had some difficulty finding the right bra fit via shipping/returns. I spent over an hour in their store, trying on all kinds of different styles, sizes, and colors. Leah was super patient and helpful. I walked out with 3 new bras that are the best-fitting bras of my life, and a few new undies to try. And now I know exactly what styles and size work for my current body shape. I had a bunch of annoying requirements for my bra and they were experts at fitting and suggesting styles and rolled with my requirements!! I spent an hour in the store trying on different styles and left happy. If you need to buy a bra, don't take your chances online. It's totally worth coming in here to try. My daughter, a High School Freshman, was in need of some new bras. She had a fitting in Hayes Valley last year and I've wanted to try ThirdLove on Fillmore next. I'm soooooo grateful we did! We came in the Sunday before Halloween (they happened to be having their Boo(bie) Sale event - cute, right?!). We were greeted by the professional, knowledgeable, and gracious manager Marie, who in the matter of minutes had both mother and daughter in adjacent dressing rooms with a brilliant array of comfortable, practical, and down right beautiful bras. Had a horrible online customer service experience. So not this store's fault per se. I have been using their products since early on. Their online customer service used to be excellent. Now it is virtually non-existent. I had a problem with one of my items. The underwire broke in half and poked me for hours while I was at work. I tried to reach someone about a replacement. Cute newly opened store on Fillmore that I was excited to check out. ThirdLove has been on my radar but I've never considered buying anything from them since I wasn't able to try on. When I heard that there would be a location opening up in SF, I had to go check it out. There are spacious fitting rooms in the back with large full length mirrors. They also have sleepwear, activewear, and other items here. Great selection of colors, styles, and fabric. read more

Ordered three bras online after using their sizing guide. All three were far too big and not supportive whatsoever. Third Love does not send a return label or return instructions with their package. There is no customer service phone number either which I find incredibly customer unfriendly. They also wrongly assume that everyone has immediate access to a printer and do not offer the option of including or sending a pre-printed return label. Update: I printed the return label (finally, an emailed link from Third Love) at the UPS store and it cost me $2.50! Do not believe Third Love's "Free Return" ads. They're not! False advertising. And of course, no acknowledgement from them that my return was in process. Very disappointed in both product and service. I do not recommend buying their bras online. P.S. ThirdLove refuses to reimburse me the $2.50 I spent using their label to return their product. read more

I got a promotional email for Labor Day sent August 30th. The header said "Free Money! Good on Everything!". When I tried to use the code, it did not work so I contacted the company. They told me that "offers can not be combined" and the "Offer was only good in August", even though none of this information was in the email, and it was advertising a Labor Day Sale which of course includes September. I liked their product but I will never buy from them again. I don't like to support deceptive marketing. read more

Be aware of their policy of No returns on certain items! I'm very disappointed with this company's policies. I have bought several bras here. I recommended them to friends who also bought underwear here. Between us we have spent a lot of money in this store. I bought a backless bra here recently and could not exchange it even though it was unworn and in its original packaging. I was unable to try it on for hygiene reasons (which I understand completely) so I opened it in the shop in front of the sales assistant to look at it. Their policy is no returns on certain items which the lady told me. I did not understand that it was also no exchange. I understand no return on undies of course but unworn bras? I had hoped to exchange it for something else since it was expensive and unworn but could not. I emailed the company and was told their policy is written by the check out desk. I did not see that as I was busy paying at the time. I have bought from third love on line and liked their items. But I went to the store on Fillmore and had them order items for me that were out of stock in store. I received a email with the confirmation number and that was it. About 10 days later I contacted customer service to see where my order was and they kept me on hold forever and then tell me I picked up my order in store a couple of days ago. WTF I did no such thing. They only agreed to cancel my order when I said I would dispute the charge with my credit card company.
