I hired Heather to do the SEO package she advertises on her website. Even though I gave her specific instruction that I wanted to understand what she was recommending I change, and that I wanted to approve anything before it was done, she completely disregarded my wishes. She refused to talk to me on the phone or by zoom. She will only communicate electronically, where she then assigns meaning and emotion to words that is not accurate. I tried communicating electronically since I was forced to but she would disregard my questions and comments. I would ask the same question repeatedly and never get an answer. She made her communication issues my problem. After I discovered she changed main copy on my website without my permission, I told her I'm uncomfortable with this, and she quit the job. I have no idea what else she changed or did without my permission. I then discovered she verified herself as an owner on my google account! I tried to revoke her access myself bur she had embedded a token within my site that would still give her access. I had no idea she did any of this and I'm told it was unnecessary for her to do that in order to perform the job she was hired for. The fact that she quit my job before getting approval to make any changes yet refused to give me a refund of the deposit as I asked for is totally unacceptable. Her unwillingness to talk voice to voice about my project caused the entire mess, and then to find out she gave herself verified ownership status of my google account without asking me or telling me, is very deceptive. In my experience, heather is a total disappointment. I'm not a tech expert at all which is why I needed help and all she did was mess up my site and cause me unnecessary stress. I would have never hired her had I known upfront that she refuses to communicate voice to voice. Too easy for things to get lost in translation with electronic communication. I also asked her to give me specific instruction to remove the token she embedded in my website so I can fully revoke her access and she ignored me. I am so disappointed as I trusted her to be honest and perform the work she was hired for, but she failed on all levels. BTW - I also saw on glass door that heather has a one star review with the word "unhealthy" which also describes her actions on the job I hired her for that she did not complete.
