I've been training with Angelica at Impact Fitness for a little over a month. While I'm still…read morerelatively new, I think it's safe to say that I'll be coming back for a long time! She is a fantastic personal trainer and very easy to work with. Her training is supportive, personalized and always has me leaving feeling exhausted but in good spirits. I've been doing three one hour sessions a week, and my form, balance and strength have all increased noticably even in that short timespan. There's a really strong sense of community at Impact--everyone knows each other and it's an incredibly warm and friendly environment. The gym, which is more like a personalized studio than the sprawling stretch of exercise machines that you might find at other gyms, really does have everything you could ask for--variety of workout equipment, a kitchen for any post-workout meals, and a fully stocked bathroom with towels and toiletries. It's a really nice feeling walking through the door and knowing that you're entering such a supportive space where you can feel truly comfortable working out. I could never imagine going back to a larger/chain gym after working out here. Angelica, Jeff and all the other trainers I've interacted with are knowledgable and informed, striving to create the best possible workout that's tailor made for the needs of each individual client. Very laid back, approachable, and awesome people!

He brings a very balanced, zen-like presence to every workout, and creates a custom plan that promotes muscle strength while being mindful of any soreness or fatigue. As a woman in my late 40s, I sincerely appreciated his focus on strength building, and the practicality of the many exercises he taught me. I left every session feeling mentally energized, as though I'd taken a long walk with a good friend.

You do a 60 min workout consisting of 20 min of spin, 20 min of strength, 20 min of yoga in that order. i've tried so many spin and pilates classes and i find myself getting bored of them but i never get that feeling at Spenga. Liz is a phenomenal instructor, but all of the instructors are so high energy and make sure you have correct form to stay safe while working out. It's pretty beginner friendly, and the instructors offer modifications during each workout so you never feel weird about maybe not being able to do the workout exactly like them. I have made all my friends try spenga at least once and I'm truly obsessed.

The first time I took Spenga, I kept telling my best friend I wanted to come back immediately! We both booked through ClassPass since we wanted to try out a new studio. Plus, 3 - 20 min exercises in one class is super interesting. 20 min of cycling, 20 min of weight lifting, and 20 min of yoga at the end to cool down. The front desk staff are quite inviting! The instructors have AMAZING energy, especially when we first took our class with Sergio. He was motivating, smiled, and just had this high energy that kept me going in my workout. ESPECIALLY, during the first 20 min of the spin portion. I recorded my workouts on my apple watch for each section and booooiiii you basically burn about 400 calories total! You gotta bring your own towel and of course water!! They got you dripping in sweat! There's plenty of parking in the back of the building, plus lockers to put your stuff in and shower. I highly recommend trying this place out! You get everything you need from cardio, weights, to even yoga cool down.

Since l cant reply your response, lm gonna leave another as a reply to you…read more 1) You said l was explained by "creepy bold guy" but he never approached to me to say something. I was told by an asian guy at front desk plus he refused to tell me the reason why we can get a free trial so it never happened or creepy bold guy lied to you. He could just approach and talk instead of staring me from the room (which lm okey , hope he learned something from me) And just wanna confirm l got my NASM certificate on 2018 2) l agree about accepting limited people. Of course, that place cant handle more than 10 people same time so you ask 300$ which is acceptable, but not for that dark and old machines. 3)nobody asked for ultra bright lights, but we need to see dumbbell section or plates clearly for our safety. 4) no question about music in the gym. 5) l meant your pricing and machines quality (due to old age) dont match. It is acceptable only with decent price obviously not with your pricing.

The clientele is more River Oaks retirees than gym bros or insta baddies, and it's very welcoming. This is a place to feel comfortable in your skin and get a great workout in. Also, regarding personal training, Chad (the owner) is a fantastic trainer. Every session includes about 10 minutes of stretching from the trainer. Really a stellar experience.

I had to go through a zoom call to find this information, and was pretty turned off by how pushy and dismissive the person I was speaking to became when I told him I wasn't going to sign up on the spot and needed time to think it over. The call turned from friendly to awkward/ uncomfortable in my perspective from there.

I've been going hard in training to pass the Air Force ASOS / TACP physical requirements and this recovery method has made a huge difference for me. I'm PR'ing everything at the gym. I also track my light and deep sleep, and the stats from my deep sleep went from about 2.5 hours per night to about 6.5 after partaking in Fire & Ice. How does it work? You spend 3 min in the ice bath followed by approximately 15 min in the sauna. Repeat 3x and do one final ice bath dunk at the end. If you're killing it and feeling run down, check them out and ask for Justin. He'll take great care of you. It's made a HUGE difference for me!
