Came here to get some gifts as prizes for an event we had and everything turned out great. I was able to place my order online after being given some guidance over the phone and as promised, my items were ready the same day. The store is under new management so hopefully the reviews will reflect a more positive experience for shoppers. I'm I glad didn't have a bad experience b/c I was truly nervous when I saw the reviews. read more

I was not happy with my experience at this store. My best friend is getting married and asked for a watch to be engraved with a specific quote. She wrote it down in very easy to read handwriting and was told to pick it up at the end of the evening. Hours later we made a trip back in to pick it up only to find that the the words engraved were inverted, which made the quote make no logical sense. We wasted almost an hour of time for them to correct the mistake which pushed all of our wedding errands back an hour also. They were apologetic but the damage was done and it was just frustrating that no one checked the item once it was first engraved. If you're looking for a last minute gift and want it done right - be sure to hang around and double check they get your order right. read more

I love things remembered store and I always had great experience in Tampa Store, I visited Dallas this week and went to Frisco Things Remembered in the mall, OMG! staff is so rude, especially the one with fake lashes. She mistreated me may be because I don't look like her, I think she is racist. She rolled her eyes few times and said 'Lord, help me!' On my face. She just ruined my day. read more

Where do I even start?! Dee, new to Texas as she may be, has got some BIG southern style hospitality! She made me feel comfortable bringing a very special piece of jewelry from home to be engraved (it was for a Mother's Day gift, and with only three days until the holiday, I wasn't sure I'd make it in time). She was knowledgeable about the engraving process and helped me find the perfect font for my bracelet. Upon first inspection, she asked if I would allow her 48 hours to complete the work, and I said this would be fine since I still had three days until I needed the bracelet back for my gift. I was AMAZED when she texted me at 5 PM the very next day that it was completed (I had dropped it off 10 minutes til close the night before)!!!!! When I went to pick it up, there it was! Shiny and ready to be gifted with my chosen phrase carefully engraved on the front and back. Incredible service, incredible value, and FAST! I've never wandered into a Things Remembered before, but thanks to Dee and her sunny personality and hard work, it's a place I won't soon forget! Thank you read more

Came in today 545p Sunday 8/16/15 to purchase gifts for our bridal party. We'd budgeted $2000 for gifts. The person working the shifts had other important things do to behind the counter than to assist us. Too bad. We will take our money elsewhere. Management may want to look for better help. One star. read more

Charged $75 for 10 words engraved on a 1x3 inch plate. The plate was completely scratched and it looked horrible. They wouldn't even discount anything. read more

Thank you for a great experience!!! Amy was so awesome!!!! I brought in a mug and a glass to have personalized. Literally the worst customer service experience ever. I don't usually place bad reviews, but this was just uncalled for. I work in customer service and if I had handled the situation the way the employees here did, I'd fire myself. I ordered a pair of cuff links the previous evening, went the next day to pick them up. Liz, whom I assume is a store manager, tells me "oh, I canceled that order. We don't have those cuff links. I don't think anyone in the district even has them, I sent you an email about it". After she informs me of this, she turns around and continues working on another order. The rude manner in which she said this is what caused me to get upset in the first place. Secondly, I check my email and sure enough I received an email from her... But nothing was even in the body of the email. It simply stated her name. There are two employees here and neither one of them bothers to help as to what happens now that I'm apparently not getting what I ordered. Is my money being refunded? Do I get other options? Is there really no other store that has them? Who knows! Because they obviously do not know what customer service is. The second employee finally approaches me and says "did you want to maybe order different ones?" I go over to the display area and low and behold- the exact cuff links I originally ordered. Liz realizes this and says "oh. I thought they were these other ones you ordered". She proceeds to engrave the ones I ordered while I'm in the store. All the while, complaining that the font is too light. The other girl is struggling to find my rewards info, which I don't even care for at this point. It's one thing to mess up, it happens... But to treat people like they're the idiots and not respect them enough to give options, or an explanation, or check other stores and just leave them in limbo? That's a bit much. I love things remembered but, never again will I order from this location. read more

They told us over the phone that engraving was $10 per item. We brought 5 items in and they said it was $20 each. Only items purchased at the store are $10 each for engraving. Very deceiving!! Buyer beware!!! read more

Went in to get a memorial globe for a grandfather that recently passed. The manager - Leah Moses - was an absolute bitch. When we inquired about a $35 globe she said due to the plaque it would be $90, but that was not advertised and she would not assist. She made it very clear she didn't want us there. We left, but after discussing we decided we wanted to get the globe anyway. When we went back to the shop we were greeted with a blunt "oh, you're back... ". The other girl in the shop, knowing we were making a trip back to Ireland, said they would have the engraving done in 5 min and when we approached the manager to get the items engraved she acted like it was on the bottom of any "to-do" list she had that week. Thanks a lot Leah, we will NEVER be back to your store. We simply wanted a memoranda for my recently passed grandfather and you made it such a horrific experience. read more

My first one star rating in the form of a complaint. =/ I came for a last minute mother's day present, granted, but I was there for about 1.5 hours. No one was available to help and there were only two workers available with a holiday coming up. One register with around fifteen customers constantly in line with each customer taking a good five minutes or longer. I waited in line for an hour and when I'm finally able to purchase my merchandise the sign of "same day engraving" goes out the window. They state how they open tomorrow at noon if I wanted an engraving. I wasn't the only one surprised by this, a bit of a heads up to the ones waiting would have been nice so I didn't have to waste my time. I tell the cashier I don't live here and they reply with how I can come back tomorrow...did they not listen to what I just said? Then as I'm about to sign my signature I decide I don't want the product anymore and cancel the transaction as I say nevermind I don't want it anymore. For some reason the receipt and charge still go through and she thanks me for coming in...once again, are you listening? Besides this experience the whole professionalism of the employees isn't very evident and the gentleman's tone the whole time simply sounds negative. I understand you're stressed, trust me the customers aren't having fun waiting in an hour line to buy one item. Now I'm stuck with my item since I didn't want to waste the other customers time with someone needing to now make a return. I'm deeply displeased with my experience here and will not continue my business within this location. read more

Despite the lackluster customer service, I decided to order a beer mug with an engraving on the front and back. After waiting 2 hours to pick it up, I found that they had misspelled my engraving. What I wrote: "With great volume comes great responsibility" and what they engraved: "With great volume comes great responsilbility." When I showed this to the lady, she double checked my order to make sure the mistake wasn't mine, and said they'd redo it and have it ready the next evening. Now I have to make another hour-long round trip to pick up a product that was unapologetically botched. Maybe if those people bothered to smile or apologize, I wouldn't have been so put off. read more
