Some friends of ours suggested we try this place and, we booked to go here. If you want to go here during dinner time, booking is a must. It was full by the time we left. This is a big indoor restaurant which seats well over 80-100 people. They have a small area of outside seating as well. Had it not been for service, the long time it took to get our meals and, the total lack of vegetarian choices, I would have given this place 5 stars. It's an expensive steakhouse and I was in love ;-))) Meat is the centerpiece of this restaurant. They have daily steak recommendation and, you can see lots of steak aging when you step into the place. All of their steaks were of European origin, which I like :-) the menu has a few other choices like pork, fish and maybe one or two vegetarian dishes. Steaks here are priced at €25 and above at dinner time. We decided to order a Tomahawk and shared it between 3. If you are super hungry you can share it between 2. This is 1kg minimum including the bone...one of my favourite cuts :-)))) Have not seen one in Munich to date. It was cooked to perfection and I loved it. It took about an hour or more for our food to arrive and our waiter was also very slow. People around us that arrived later than we did, had their food long before we could get ours. The vegetarian choice on the menu was very ordinary and tasted horrible. It was a tempura nori roll something and it was pretty ordinary. I would definitely come back here for steak. They do have breakfast and lunch served here as well. I will come back and try when it's not so busy. It was noisy as the whole restaurant is pretty open and, noise carries easily. It's expensive but good steak in Munich generally is. If you are a steak connoisseur you will like this place ;-)) If you are a vegetarian best to avoid it. read more

This is one of the best restaurants in munich! Ive lived here for two years and have tried every thing this towns got to offer. I would recommend making a reservation (open table had them listed). Was busy even for a Sunday. I'm a steak lover and trust me its a gem! Braczo? the Manager was super nice and had great recommendations for wine. It's a modern steakhouse, near the art museums and the trendy university area. Perfect for a date! They have one lane for bowling but didn't try that. read more

Lovely! I visited with my friend in Munich a few weeks ago for a Friday night dinner. I had such a lovely time! The space is beautiful - exposed brick, fun lighting, a long bar and a lounge-y area. Definitely a 5 for atmosphere. The service was great as well - though I don't speak any German, the staff was really nice to me (and my dining companion helped me out - though I think you'd be ok..there is an English menu). Service was attentive, but not overwhelming. A 5 for service. The food was great - I was told the burger was good, so I decided to try it (though everything looked amazing!). The burger was delicious - perfectly cooked, nice a juicy and flavorful! A 5 for food! Drinks were also great - it was my first try of a Hugo - yum! I'm going to have to find one of these in the US. Bathrooms - updated and clean - great! 5 for bathrooms. Value was pretty good - especially considering it's location in the city. I thought that value for money was quite good. A 4 for value. This is a great steakhouse. Romantic environment and very homie. Nice cuts of meat. I had the 700gr of prime rib. Medium cooked was just perfect. Great flavor and nice quality of meat. Not as soft as an American steak but still very nice. It was interesting that what we paid was the menu price plus the weight of bone-in. I will suggest to let people know before they order. The knifes are not sharp and it took 1 hour to get the steaks. 5 stars because the steaks where perfect. read more

What service! What food! What an experience! They were cordial and had great table service. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the steaks. He was patient and had great communication skills. I would hire him in a minute. We had the garlic shrimp, the T-bone steak for two, and the amazing vanilla spiced roasted vegetables. Our steak was cooked to perfection and seasoned with love. I'm just kidding that season doesn't really exist. I was impressed with the meat and vegetable. As an American, I felt the prices were reasonable and almost everybody spoke English really well. This place is amazing -- it's one of the best restaurants I've tried (so far) in Munich. It's a steak place, but there are plenty of other interesting dishes to try as well. So far we've only been here at lunch -- i will definitely be back for dinner. Note: you will need to book ahead for dinner, but it was pretty easy to walk-in at lunchtime. The decor is stylish and beautiful, yet comfortable. The food is simply outstanding -- perfectly prepared, innovative -- you can tell there is passion behind it. It is perhaps a bit on the expensive side, but I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for... The service also stands out -- our waiter was very charming; he was not comfortable speaking English, but he was thrilled with my highly-flawed German. and there's a tiny little bowling alley downstairs near the toilets -- i wasn't able to figure out if that's something restaurant patrons can use? but it would certainly be a really fun venue for a private party. if you're feeling a bit fatigued by the Bavarian beer-hall scene, and/or you're in the mood for a steak -- definitely check this place out. read more

Definitely not worth. Most of my reviews are positive but this place was not good. However to be fair: -The good: meat was perfect as well as the cocktail. The place looks very cool. -The bad: side order of artichokes and beans were two slices artichoke and a bowl full of beans. The sweet potatoes were flavorless and the sautéed vegetables as well. -THE UGLY: carelees and even rude service. I cut my lip with the edges of the cocktail glass that was broken. Food is absolutely great - I don't eat meat very often, so when I do, I want it to be good. And this was definitely the case. The "cuisson" was perfect. I asked medium, and it was just that. Really cool vibe with excellent food. I have been two many good stake houses and this one certainly stands out. We have been there now twice and will certainly be back soon. When it comes to meat it is hard to get better place. As for service the place is a bit hit or miss. When it's good it's great, when bad (like when busy) it is quite terrible. We go often though, too often actually but the meat is just sooo perfect. Order medium rare when recommended by staff and don't miss the heavenly Tartar as starter! read more

Far(!) away from being excellent, this place is loud, crammed and overpriced. The lobster soup was something thin and tasteless but not worth being called a lobster soup. Main dish was an overpriced Rib eye steak which wasn't all that bad. I was really not impressed with my experience at this restaurant. We were recommended this restaurant by friends who gave us a gift card as a wedding present, so we booked a reservation for 2 for Saturday evening. When we arrived we were seated promptly, which was excellent... However we were probably seated at the worst table in the restaurant, stuck in between 2 corner tables and my husband was stuck facing the wall in the hottest nook of the restaurant. Really, it would have been fine if we had just walked in... But we had a booked a reservation in advance, and would expect to get a better spot than the walk-ins which came after us. Next, we had been wedged between two tables which were either good friends or VIP guests of the waiter. So while the waiter was busy schmoozing with these two tables, the service we received from him was less than spectacular, drinks and dishes slammed down on the table and then quickly moving over to his friend's tables. The drinks came out promptly (the bartender makes a delicious amaretto sour) and the appetizer arrived in an appropriate time frame. The next unfortunate experience was that our main dishes came out at least 30 minutes AFTER the table beside us (which were seated 20 minutes after us- and both of our tables had ordered starters) and of course we had to wait about 5 minutes before our side dishes were brought out, while our already late steaks sat getting cold. I don't believe we ordered anything special - roast beef and rib eye- that would take longer than usual. The food: was the only reason why I even gave this place 2 stars. It was delicious and cooked well. However, I am from Alberta, Canada where we have excellent beef, so this was not anymore delicious than a steakhouse back home and at twice the price... Overall, the Theresa Grill just did not meet expectations. Considering that we made reservations, had been recommended this restaurant, and spent a considerable amount of money. When you spend 150 euro on dinner you would expect to at least have good service and not be overlooked by other customers. We will definitely not be returning. read more

Very chic decor and atmosphere, the service was prompt and friendly, and the appetizer (goat cheese brulee) and sides (cauliflower, caesar salad) were both good. But for a steakhouse we didn't think they did the meat very well. My husband got a ribeye, which he ordered rare. It came out with a couple of grill marks on it but otherwise no seared crust, and inside it was medium at best. It was still a nice piece of meat but it was underseasoned. I got the loup de mer which was better but the thicker middle was definitely undercooked. This place was close to being great but because of these cooking fails I don't think we'd go back. read more

I spend my birthday party there and it was just an amazing evening. We have been in the back-part of the restaurant and it was perfect. The food, what should i say? It is definitly one of the best steak-restaurants in munich, i rather would say its the best. We had a small menu with 3 starters, 3 main courses and 3 desserts. It has been a group of 15 people and the kitchen timed every course perfect, so that all got the food at the same time. I had the Veltliner Schaumsüppchen, 250g Filet of the Galloway bull and the chees plate. The soup was very tasty, the filet, . im still speachless, it was the best filet that i had in my live, perfect medium roasted and so tasty just amazing. the cheese plate with the lavendel-honey was just the perfect rounding of the evening. For the aperative we had 2 bottels of the Lenoble Champagne (Rosé & Intense) and for the dinner we had the lugana and they harmonised perfect to the food. Wow! Two of us had the lamb special and my husband had a pork dish. The lamb was well seasoned and cooked perfectly (medium rare). The pork dish was described as melt in your mouth delicious. My husband is a connoisseur of all things pork related and thought this was the best pork he'd had in a year of living in Germany. Good wines, but could extend selection for wines by the glass. Side vegetables were ok, but could have been a bit more cooked through.
