Back on Track Physiotherapy & Health Centres have consistently proven to be my ultimate source for…read moreone-on-one exceptional client service, to properly assess Injury and Pain Management issues, and to successfully customize treatment plans to address each. They've also played an integral role in helping me establish and attain remarkable overall health & fitness goals, and empowered me with knowledge and strategies to maintain and continually improve my fitness level independently. My treatments over the past few years have included the expertise of a Kinesiolgist (Natalie Bloom), Chiropractor (Benjamin Matheson), RMT's (Wanrapa Suraso & Sandy Rief), Chiropodist (Nathalie deMaurivez) and an Occupational Therapist (Jane Moyse) all of whom provide first rate care. Primary ongoing treatment has been from Dave Brien, who is the Directory of Physiotherapy and BOT's Senior Physiotherapist, and whose knowledge, expertise, and unparalleled ability to quickly assess and correctly treat my multiple injuries and sources of pain have dramatically surpassed the abilities of other physiotherapists I have encountered since a work injury years ago. The thoroughness of BOT's comprehensive and interactive team approach to my care and progress, has been invaluable, and the ever-present support & encouragement from all staff members also played an important role to help motivate me. Having utilised 3 of their 9 Ottawa area locations (Hunt Club, Westboro, and Antares) for various medical services, I have been impressed that the caliber of staff does not vary between locations, which is a testament not only to a well-defined mandate, which promises to provide highly skilled therapies for pain control and return of function, but also to their impressive ability to attract and hire exceptionally qualified and personable individuals to complement their growing teams of professionals, (including front desk personnel), at each location. I believe much of their success stems from the synergy of the well managed teamwork and resources ("The Whole is Greater than the Sum of its Parts"), as it is apparent that the sum of BOT's extremely talented and truly dedicated staff, the breadth of available services at each of their convenient locations, and their genuine commitment to personalized one-on-one client service, is what sets them apart from other health provider organizations.

I know some people…read moreare weirder out at the thoughts of someone else touching them, but head to Lucy at Hands On Health and your life will never be the same. I started visiting Lucy when she worked at the Woodroffe Chiropractic Clinic, due to severe migraines and an old cheerleading injury (you can stop laughing now...some "tiny" girl fell on my neck!). In addition to be super sweet and kind, she is really skilled at what she does. She made getting through life that much easier. Lucy moved to Hands on Health a few years ago, and I really like vising this place. Their location is in Centrepointe, in what looks like a row of nice, new town homes, but is actually a group of small businesses. They're office is located in the downstairs portion of one of the town homes, and is stunningly decorated (they sued to have teh designers card there, but I can't remember her name!) to make you feel relaxed and calm. I've never visited any of the other practitioners, but I've spoken to a few of them and they're delightful. They really care about the clients (Lucy remembers things I told her years ago, and always asks about loved ones and goals I've mentioned) and client satisfaction is really important to them. After being diagnosed with a chronic pain condition a few years back, Lucy helped even more, with stretching techniques, relaxation tips and deep tissue massage. The staff also offers services like hot stone therapy, Reiki, pregnancy and infant massage, myofascial release and tons more. check them out if you're in pain, or just need to relax. If you're lucky enough to get in to see Lucy, you'll also gain a confidant and a lovely new friend.

This is the first place I've ever had physiotherapy at and I'm extremely impressed. It's located…read moreinside Carleton University and the price is very reasonable compared to other physiotherapy clinics that I've heard about. They obviously specialize in sports related injuries, but I'm pretty sure anyone can make an appointment if they have a physician's referral. If your health insurance covers physiotherapy, you'll be glad to know that they are registered so you can claim it. I injured my shoulder 4 years ago and this past summer it became aggravated, most likely as a result of cycling. A friend first recommended seeing a sports doctor at the medical clinic also located inside the university, which I did, and he recommend physiotherapy treatment while waiting for an MRI appointment. Out of convenience, I visited the Sports Therapy Clinic here. I've had about 10 appointments to date and feel 100% better than when I started. During my initial assessment, it was also determined that I likely had a pinched nerve in my neck which was contributing to my problems. So I'm being treated for both my shoulder and my neck at each appointment. My physiotherapist is friendly and professional, and doesn't hesitate to constantly remind me of my poor posture to help me improve. She explains everything about what's going on in my shoulder and my neck so I'm fully aware of extent of the problem. When I'm hooked up the electrotherapy machine I usually watch others receiving their physiotherapy treatment and I can see that everyone here knows their stuff. My appointment times are almost always right when they're supposed to be. Only once was it a little late. I highly recommend this clinic. There is plenty of parking, but you will have to pay at one of the machines. I think $4 gets you just over an hour. Don't try to get away without paying -- I always see the parking patrol checking cars. :)
