According to their website, The program offers: - 8 sessions of 1 on 1 private counselling per month Unfortunately, they did not fulfill this even after advertising it as part of the program on their website. My daughter only received 2 private sessions in her 4 weeks there. She was supposed to receive at least 8 sessions. The main benefits of an in-patient program would be the one-on-one therapy for complex trauma and my daughter received hardly any therapy at all. In general, this facility is poorly run with a lot of undertrained staff. There was no trained psychiatrist, psychologist or psychotherapist. There was only one certified social worker who manages the entire facility, and she was not there a lot of the time. The clients spend a lot of time completing workbooks by themselves without an instructor there to guide them, provide advice, and answer questions. The staff at the facility would say that they could not offer advice or answer questions because they weren't qualified. But these were the people working all the time. The only person qualified was not often at the facility. Furthermore, there is a significant level of unprofessionalism among the staff at valiant behavioral health. During an outing, one of the staff was taking pictures with the clients, and posted the pictures on her Facebook with the clients names tagged on the post. Before going here, and paying $15,000 I would look into other options at other facilities. Valiant behavioral health did not provide the help they promised or the therapy needed to overcome and combat drug addiction. I have heard amazing reviews from Homewood in Guelph, the intensive therapy needed to heal is provided and followed through on.

Best physio clinic I've ever been to! (Mind you, I've only ever been to two in Orleans.)…read more I have completely flat feet and my right foot started to bother me to the point where I stopped going to the gym completely or doing anything active. I had been putting up with the foot pain for over a year before getting it looked at. My doctor ruled out a fracture with an X-ray and recommended physio. The first one I went to, they tried to tell me my chronic foot pain was because of plantar fasciitis. I didn't think it was, so I googled it and it didn't seem to be where my pain was, so I asked my orthotics person for a referral. He recommended Renée at Moveo. Renée was fantastic. She was very methodical in her analysis and said the problem wasn't plantar fasciitis, but actually an inflamed tendon. When I started with Moveo, the pain was a 9 and I was constantly limping in the morning. Now, the pain is down to 0-3 and that's with me now back to working out daily. Because of scheduling, I've seen Renée, Claire, and Andrea. All are fantastic. Highly recommend.

They advised me he go to emerg asap due to Oxygen levels becoming dangerously low, his seizure and vomiting and complaints by my son of feeling dizzy. Fast forward to diagnostics about 3 hours later. They found pnemonia both lungs, aspiration and his blood levels and bloodwork were off the chart for abnormal. I highly commend diagnostics in their finding out immediately and caring for my son. However, the RN's who attended on day and night shift, were clearly looking annoyed because of my son's inability to communicate and when I asked for clarification on two concerns I had for him. A urinal was promptly placed on his table and specimen bottle, telling him to urinate. My son had not drank or eaten in 9 hours by that time, he was not able to unrinate. I waited 4 hours for the physicians to determine how to adjust his 4 seizure medications, and I was grateful they took the time to check carefully into this. So like I said, diagnostics and the neurologist were five star in treatment. Nothing was offered for my son to eat or drink as of 8 that night. When my son was given the prescriptions and told he was able to leave, they placed all paperwork on the table and walked away. I was not even offered a wheelchair to bring my son to the main doors so we could get a cab. I am a 64 year old woman, my son is 27 years old special needs with autism and epilepsy and a diagnosis of aspiration pnemonia. Given the circumstances, I honestsly feel the nurses on duty for my son could have shown a little more understanding and less annoyance, considering I barely bothered them and there were a lot of other patients ringing the bells non stop. I did not bother anybody once. I am a Registered Practical Nurse so I get the stress on working Christmas Eve. But, this treatment was clearly unethical, particularly since I had to practically carry my 256 pound son to the emergency doors because not one staff cared enough to bring me a wheelchair to help my son as we left. I would not recommend this hospital to my worst enemy.

Femur surgery by foot & ankle surgeon. Bad outcome…read more After three days waiting in Ottawa Civic room713 my distal femur fracture internal fixation surgery was done by Drs. Lalonde and Muellenkamp. Both are foot and ankle speciaists. NOT knee surgeons. It did not go well. My result is a large hard lump on the outside of my right knee. I am told this is a misplaced/displaced screw from the surgery. An entirely depressing outcome. His solution? Open the site again and put the hardware back where it should be. Why was this not done initially? No answer. I would never, ever recommend Dr. Lalonde for any procedure. This is the worst of Canadian 'health' care. I am off to Toronto at my expense to have this mess fixed correctly. A similar situation happened twelve years ago also at the Civic when Dr. Philippe Phan, spinal surgeon, operated on my left wrist and did not inform me pins had bern inserted. I could not flex my wrist so I travelled from Ottawa to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto to have the wrist re-opened and the pins removed. Wrist then worked fine. There are problems in orthopedics in Ottawa.

We used to lDubai and were visiting my parents inlaw in Ottawa where we also used to live before. The quality of the frames and lenses were outstanding. These were the most comfortable progressive lenses and frames I've ever had. The technician at Nuvo customized the frames to fit me like a glove. What is even more amazing is that my frames broke a month ago and I panicked and emailed Nuvo. To my shock they said it is still under warranty. So I shipped it back only to find that there were no replacement with the same colour. The communication was as difficult due to Covid working conditions and the time zone difference. Calls were only recorded not live due to modified working circumstances . The owner Dr. Buettner kindly took it upon herself to find a solution and called around and finally managed to find another shop that had the matching colours. She then fitted the lenses and shipped back to me in Dubai. The story did not have ne here. I received the glasses and they were there tight. No one locally knew the techniques to fit this particular frame. I reluctantly contacted Dr. Buetnner and, bless her heart, she sent me detailed instruction to the technician on how to adjust the frame. Like magic , the technician here knew what to do and adjusted the frame. Thank you Nuvo and Dr. Buettner. I lived in Ottawa for over 30 years before we moved to Dubai and had several Optometrists in Ottawa during that time. I've never had such a great experience.
