I just wanted to start off by saying I have had nothing but positive experiences at my time with…read morePTA. I started to come here about 4 months ago after undergoing ACL surgery and had recurring appointments every week. Joe, Julie, Shae, and the rest of the staff were informative, understanding, and helpful through every session. Every exercise was tailored to me and my comfort level at the time. One particular machine that I thought was really interesting was their Alter-G treadmill which made running feel like I was on the moon. It helped making me feel lighter so I could start my running motions really early after surgery and I felt the machine helped immensely in my recovery. In addition to being attentive to my physical therapy needs, they helped me on a personal level as well. Being new to the area, the staff was really friendly and helped me find different places around the area to eat and and do other things. They seemed genuinely interested my my life and personal well-being. I would definitely recommend PTA for all your physical therapy needs.

Thank you Joe King, PT and the awesome team at Physical Therapy Advantage! Shoot I forgot his name) got my dad all set up on the device and Joe stayed with my dad for the duration of the trial, offering him support, observing his movements, and answering my dad's many questions. My dad LOVED the experience. He was able to walk PAIN-FREE without worrying about losing his balance, for a full 20 minutes. He was thrilled. We can't wait to return for twice weekly sessions on the Alter-G!! Thank you Joe and the whole PT Advantage team. We had a great experience. And thank you for letting me snap a few photos of my dad in action!

My visit with Dr. Timothy Kisner was on 11/20. My appointment was at 545 pm and I wasn't taken back…read moreuntil 615. I didn't mind the wait at all. I asked Dr. Kisner how his day is going as he led me to the evaluation room- he said "ehh I'm here" this set the tone for the remainder of my 45 minute visit where he sat and asked me questions about my back pain, asking me when I experience pain, if I can bend down, what have I done to help, etc. 35 minutes of my appt were spent talking and going over health history /condition. 5 minutes was spent going over 3/7 exercises that he provided me with on a piece of paper. The remainder of the visit he continued typing out my post visit documentation & then reviewed once printed. I was charged $1,127.00 for a 45 minute appointment. 97110 cpt code was charged 3 units total cost $708.00 This code means 15 minutes exercises x 3 were completed. This is completely false the entire visit was 45 minutes! I have never disputed a medical charge but this is outrageous. The cpt code 97110 has a CMS requirement to perform the exercise for at least 8 minutes in order to charge 1 unit. We didn't even spend a total of 8 minutes doing all three of the exercises. I understand this is a specialty visit, however- to be charged so much for something that literally did not happen is absolutely fraudulent and sad. As a patient who is looking for help- you'd expect at least honesty from your provider. I have been to physical therapists in the past and I have never been charged this much - not even a fraction and those sessions were spent actually doing exercises with my PT assisting and monitoring. I was under the assumption Northwestern was top quality and will provide the best care- I was completely mistaken.

The therapist I had was too busy chatting and not paying attention to what I was doing and also farted multiple times during my session. I also observed that they do not clean between patients. just disgusting and unprofessional!
