Extremely disappointed with ATI Physical Therapy and their billing practices…read more Before I even scheduled my first appointment, I specifically asked them to verify my insurance and tell me exactly what my cost would be per visit. I was told it would be approximately $60. I intentionally waited several days for them to verify my insurance information before moving forward because I wanted to know the cost upfront. At my first visit, I was charged $65. It was $5 more than quoted, but I didn't make an issue of it. Now, approximately 25 days later, ATI is trying to charge me an ADDITIONAL $95 for that same visit. That brings the total cost of ONE physical therapy visit to $160. When I called customer service, I was told the original $65 was supposedly only a "deposit." That was NEVER explained to me. Had I been told that $65 was simply a deposit and that I could later be billed another $95, I would have never agreed to the appointment. What makes this especially frustrating is that I specifically asked for the cost BEFORE scheduling and gave them time to verify everything with my insurance. Their customer service experience only made the situation worse. Patients deserve transparency about what they are agreeing to pay. Quoting someone around $60, collecting $65 at the appointment, and then nearly a month later billing another $95 is completely unacceptable to me. I would absolutely NOT recommend ATI Physical Therapy based on my experience. If you decide to use them, I strongly recommend getting your expected TOTAL cost in writing before receiving any services.

After having bad neck pain after riding a super rough roller coaster at a theme park, my doctor…read moresent me to ATI to have it checked out. I've never done physical therapy before, so this was a first for me. I only went to my first appointment and never returned, for several reasons. First, I will say that it's a nice facility. Open, lots of workout machines and stretching areas, and very welcoming and non-intimidating. That's just about the only good thing I have to say about this place. From the moment I walked in the door, everyone there seemed so disorganized. The lady at the front desk was less than pleasant, and wanted to make sure she had all my insurance information before she's even crack a smile (this is sadly the norm in America's healthcare system, of course). I had to fill out an extensive form that was mainly concerned with billing and how to track me down if I didn't pay, LOL. Finally, I was taken to a back room to meet with a "trainer." The "trainer" did some basic things like make me extend my arms and move my neck. He measured the range of motion, which wasn't great due to the fact that I had a hurt neck. After a few more minutes of this, he said he was leaving to put together a "specialized treatment plan" for me. I waited another 15 minutes or so until someone else came to get me and sat me in a chair in the public area. Other people were stretching, using machines, etc. I was sitting alone in a chair. Yet another guy came over and showed me a couple of stretches: turning my head one way while holding my shoulder down the other way. He had me do 30 stretches and holds for 30 seconds. Then he walked away and left me to my own devices. I completed the stretch routine and sat while the "trainers" were busy joking around, laughing, and talking with each other. I did not see any of the staff actually sitting with nor working with patients. Finally he came back over and showed me another stretch. Told me the same, and left. This continued for about 30 minutes. Then I was put on a cycling machine, which I cannot figure out why on earth that would help my neck. It's like they forgot why I was there! Finally, I did some pulley system that worked my arms (which again didn't do a thing for my neck). In fact, it actually hurt my neck more. Afterwards, I was taken back to the main desk to schedule more appointments. It felt very timeshare-y with how much they were PUSHING me to do thrice weekly appointments. I finally relented and they got me on the books for a few months at three times per week. I left feeling like this whole thing was scammy. I was given a folder when I left with the directions for all the stretches I just did (scratch that: the stretches I just PAID $180 to do ON MY OWN), so I figured I could just do those at home for free! I ended up canceling all of my future appointments and just doing the treatment on my own, since it was the same - except I could do it in the comfort of my own home. Why pay close to $600 per week to be ignored and left to stretch on my own when I can do that at home for free? Maybe your experience would be different based on your injury, but I did not find the services here useful at all. If you go here, make sure it's just for an initial appointment. See how you feel about being ignored and told to just sit there and stretch.

Therapy, therapist offices, and tongue ties are not a new avenue for me and my family. My oldest,…read morewho is almost 12, was in therapy from the day he was born until he was 6. My third born was in therapy for about 6 months and my youngest has been in therapy now for a little over 2 years. Like I said, not my first rodeo. Lana's team go above and beyond our expectations. The front desk ladies are always kind, professional, and efficient. We were in between insurances and they worked with us to fix the issue when our pediatrician office was being difficult. We also have appointments twice a week, one of them being Monday morning. If I ever need to cancel my appointment, it's a quick and easy phone call where I leave a voice message. I've never had an issue with this method, given that their office is closed on the weekend and the voicemail has a time stamp. We've worked consistently with Ms. Lana, Ms. Mary, and Ms. Cara. We've seen a few others when someone is out sick, but that has only been a handful of times in two years. They are always incredible with him, especially since he has stranger-danger and separation anxiety. I would utilize their resources and advice while at home, seeing constant leaps in improvement. My son didn't get his tongue tie revised until closer to 8 months even though we started therapy at 3 months. As we all know, the tongue is a muscle and you can't just cut it expecting it to know how to function properly. He has technically used it incorrectly for the last 8 months, hence the therapy to strengthen it before getting revised. I have had one of my son's revised a couple days after birth, which didn't require therapy because he was a newborn. My son, who's now 9 years old, passed 5 "inspections" stating he didn't need revision because he was high on the weight charts. Well, I produced an overabundance of milk that he barely needed to work for. Unfortunately, many pediatricians in the field aren't fluent in tongue ties and have outdated knowledge on the subject. I will be getting him revised in the future when he's eligible to avoid all other issues. I just wanted to add that I'm thankful for therapists and doctors (Smart Mouth | Dr. Tara and Hamilton & Manuele) who have taken the time to become educated in this field. I'm currently in the process of a palate expansion due to having ties my entire 38 years of life. It's a full two year process, $10k+, with uncomfortable/some painful procedures along the way. Having ties has caused a lifetime of dental issues, mouth breathing, chronic sinus infections, constant swollen tonsils, the whole shebang. I was "thriving" just fine as a baby so it was excused even though my sister was revised. I'm happy to say I haven't had any sinus infections, my tonsils are barely visible, and this is my first year without seasonal allergies. I also stopped mouth breathing within two days of my palate expansion procedure. But man, do I wish this was done as a baby. Thriving is important, but so is having your best quality of life.

This place is unique and exceptional for special kids with a welcoming and helpful staff of skilled, professional and compassionate therapists. The location is a house made into an office which I personally like because it gives a home like feel and not like your ordinary dull office room. The friendly staff, starting from the front office to the back is awesome and takes care of your administrative and logistical needs. We always see a smile and anticipation from our son when we he knows he's at therapy eagerly waits for his stretches, music , riding a horse or swimming in the pool. His face lights up and does his very best to laugh to show how much he loves his therapists. We have seen great improvement from him from being tight and uncomfortable to excited and happy when the therapists work with him. The veteran therapists know what his personal needs are and careful with him such as making sure his G-tube is secure. I can't recommend this place enough and I always talk about it whenever I am asked about where to bring a child to for special therapy. We are extremely grateful for the care our son receives from DREAM THERAPIES! Thank you! Neil C
