I'll add pictures here that tells about my experience, the last 3 I took this morning showing all the dry skin on both legs. For the past 13 years I have never been without pain and problems. 'HERE IS MY WRITTEN RECORD" After receiving new hip 9 Apr. 2007 I started having problems with my legs (swelling and sudden sharp leg pains). From my knees down my legs turned red. 11\fs26 Sep. Got letter from Dr Van Horne office about bad DePuy ASR hip replacement implant from 9 Apr. 2007. 23 Sep. Called Dr Van Horne and was told to call Johnson & Johnson for Claim #. Called Johnson & Johnson and was given Claim # 186102756. Called Dr Va Horne's office and left Claim # on voice mail. 28 Sep. Appointment with Dr Countiss, was told I should contact Dr Van Horne about making an appointment. 29 Sep. Called Dr Vanhorne about appointment and got voice mail. 30 Sep. Dr Vanhorne's office called and gave appointment dates 4 Nov. for Imaging and 18 Nov. to see Dr Vanhorne. 5 Oct. Johnson & Johnson called to give me some information and ask me if Dr Vanhorne had recommended the DePuy hip. ( The answer to that was yes) Received letter from Broadspire informing me that DePuy would pay all of my out of pocket expenses including the deductibles and co-pays. 8 Oct. Called Black Chapman & Webber. 4 Nov. Went to Imaging, 18 Nov. Went to Paragon (Dr Vanhorne) and was told that I should have hip replaced as soon as possible due to problems shown on Imaging. (Note: I was first scheduled for Surgery the last of Jan. but did not go to surgery till the 24th of Feb.. Dr Vanhorne felt I needed to go to Radiation for treatment just before surgery. Treatment was $2413.00) 29 Nov. Started Physical Therapy. (approx. $169.00 a session for a total of over $4000.00.) December: 1, 6, 8,13,15, 20, 22 Physical Therapy. 24 Feb. Day of surgery. Reported early so I could go to Radiation just before surgery. Radiation was needed to stop unwanted bone growth caused from the first hip replacement 9 Apr. 2007. Dr Countiss ask to assist in this surgery and Dr Vanhorne allowed him to do so. I was later told by Dr Countis that Dr Vanhorne got a little rough and had to apply a lot of pressure trying to grind out my new hip joint, He told me that it took most all his strength to hold me onto the operation table. 27 Feb. Discharged from 3 Rivers Hospital after surgery to go home. March - Physical Therapy 10, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, and 30 March. 28 Mar. Appointment at Paragon (Dr Vanhorne). April - Physical Therapy 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22,27, and 29 (last day) April. My symptoms since Hip Surgery 9 Apr. 2007. (1) I have experienced fatigue ever since first surgery. (2) Had sensations down my leg off and on day and night of like a hot electrical shock, with tingling. (3) Up on standing I was unable to start walking for a few moments. I would try to, but my leg wouldn't work. (4) I had as much pain in my hip as I had before my first surgery and I still limped as bad on it as I did before, in spite of how hard I tried not to. (5) I have been unable to do a lot of the things I normally did all the time, before my first surgery, like mowing the lawns, doing a little work on my pickup, and things with my horses, which was my hobby. Also I couldn't do home improvement projects like I had in the past. (6) Problems standing up and setting down. (Always) (7) Hard getting in and out of car. (Always) (8) Right leg was asleep and numb almost constantly after surgery. Even woke me up at night. Right leg gets numb setting in car. Sometimes there is a pain similar to frost bite or lack of circulation and the numbness can causes problems when driving . (Always when over half an hour) (9) Sore muscles all the time in lower back, hips, and legs. (10) Can't take a step for a couple moments after standing up. Muscles are stiff and must loosen up before stepping away. (Always) (11) Hurts to walk. (12) Can't bend over to pick something up off from floor. Back, legs and hips hurt when trying to do so. (13) Back is always sore. (14) Can't put sock on right foot or tie shoe without help. (15) Legs swell, gets burning sensation and sometimes itch real bad. Sometimes I draw blood from scratching. (16) Bursitis in left hip. (17) I've noticed that my right foot sometimes turns in when I'm walking. Maybe due to tightening of leg muscles. (18) Lots of headaches. (19) Laying on my left side will cause my hip to ache. (20) One of the most challenging aspects of of the entire experience has been trying to stay in a good frame of mind. I have never liked to see people set around and feel sorry for themselves, so I have dealt with it on a day to day basis. It is now 2/4/2026 "Note, after all these years I still suffer leg pains and skin problems" In total I have had 3 hip replacements, 2 on my right side and 1 on my left.

I am a retired pro athlete, landscape designer and Registered Nurse/Wellness Educator who has sought and been treated by wellness-oriented Chiropractors and Naturopaths for most of my adult life. Some good, some not so much. Multiple athletic injuries and the everyday wear and tear of aging have taken their toll and I assumed I was destined for a later life full of chronic pain, memory loss and ultimate loss of mobility... until I met this Dr. Chiropractic Functional Neurology is basically the process of reactivating pathways in the brain, that have either deteriorated, been injured, or stopped functioning optimally for whatever reason, by stimulating other parts of the body and brain. As one might expect, there is a great deal of testing, observation and trial and error in determining the most effective treatments. There are dietary suggestions, supplement recommendations and simple but very focused exercises prescribed. All this to ultimately return me to optimal physical and mental function. This is a joint effort between me, Dr Chambers and his staff and it DOES take work on my part. But, I am very pleased to be so involved in my own treatment and thus far, very pleased with the results. My balance is improved, my eye-hand coordination is improved, my "foggy-brain" is gone, I don't wake-up sore and tired anymore and my aches and pains are much less. If you want a quick-fix, crack your back kind of Chiropractor...go elsewhere. If you want to be actively involved in improving your own health and function, this is the place. Functional Chiropractic Neurology...who knew? Couldn't ask for better.

I can only imagine that for some reason he received compensation to try a new unit. It was much too small for my stature and it's split my femur when he installed it. They did not catch this problem for 2 weeks and the device rocked around inside of my femur until it snapped it completely in half. He was thin on a four-week vacation in Peru so he hired an underling to work on me. That person wasn't qualified and destroyed the femur again. Two months after that operation the metal plate the installed snapped again so now I had a donut floating around inside of my leg. The pain was excruciating and I spent two years and five operations to be able to barely walk. I laid in the hospital for a total of over 60 days and about 90 days in rehab. I haven't been able to work since so the last two years of my life have been zero income. Tort reform laws in Oregon make it impossible to sue a doctor so there is nothing to be gained from this. I haven't even gotten a phone call or an apology. I would never ever let doctor ho in Medford at Southern Oregon Orthopedics or dr. James Van Horn at Paragon Orthopedics operate on me or relative or friend. They have destroyed my life and there's nothing that I can do about it. Stay the heck away from these companies. There is an expert in Medford Oregon and if you get hold of me personally I will talk to you about it. If you need more information I have a 31 page PowerPoint program with all the operational reports, X-rays and descriptions from three doctors of what they did wrong. I beg of you, tell everyone that you know never to go to these two surgeons.

I have a standard practice of hitting record on my phone when I get a weird vibe and my bff was with me and got the same vibe. Carl basically said no break sending for an MRI (my primary and myself had already told him no break). When I went back to read chart notes they were just flat out lies! I screenshot them and sent them back with the facts (I talked to my bff and listened to my recording). He woke me at 7:40 the next morning saying I was removed from the practice for illegally recording him (it's not illegal just not admissible in standard court). I just read his notes and they are a complete fabrication again (he might think he's smart, but he obviously missed the app on our phones that can be used to record any conversation... admissible in Oregon courts also). You couldn't pay me to return there! Anyone referred there RUN. Negative 100,000,000 stars

The office manager Lisa, runs the place with her idiocy and an iron fist or something, and the doctors who are almost always not there, don't know how badly they are being represented. They run on negativity and deficit rather than on positivity and surplus. They need to learn it is easier to be pleasant and giving rather than always reverting to the opposite. They run all day on 20 minute slots. If you are five late, that's it, you are sent home. And if you need an urgent same day appointment to relieve severe pain, even if the only thing you need is a simple injection that you have had before in there office --forget it! You are sent all over town to any emergency or urgent care and will probably wind up having to pay cash for it. I needed this in order to go my second day of work on a new job and the office manager would not budge off her full schedule. THIS PLACE IS SOULLESS!!

As soon as my husband was diagnosed with diabetes. He would not refer him out to get the care he needed . After 2 separate trips and visits to the hospital, he became the dr from xxxx. Offered no care or help, couldn't even get a follow-up appt His aide and himself became irate with me over the phone that we had already started looking for another replacement. Then of course he canceled us as patients saying we were not a good fit. he then rejected my pharmacy refills!! We would never recommend him or his clinic as they do not listen to you or care. my opinion is tibbits is not very knowledgeable about diabetes. I know many others that have also dropped him. DO NOT GO TO THIS NP! I have never ever been treated so…read morebadly by a medical "professional." The entire staff and aids were amazing and friendly and kind. When Mr. Miserable "not a doctor" walked in I knew this one was not going to be someone to return to possibly. No smile ever. No eye contact ever. Walked in with laptop in hand looking down while saying "you must be so and so." Then said his name, with back turned to us, and no hand shake, no how are you or nice to meet you or glad you chose me for your care! He may as well walked in and said f you! But he did then say to me and my husband, "you two have a lot of issues and I don't have the time for you today you'll have to come back." Wtf? Ok then... Then he starts asking questions of us (still not making any eye contact) and literally mocking our answers in disgust. We were the first patients that day at 8 am! We waited 45 min to see him while being processed by the medical aids. Bloodwork etc. so how he already had zero time for new patients is ridiculous. I had zero sleep dealing with an ailing, elderly disabled sister and was up at 6:30 to make the trip to town to meet this new "professional." Had I known I was going to be interviewed and judged and then told he won't be taking us as patients? I would never have wasted my valuable time. Not would I have waited for an appt for two weeks so I could get meds renewed to have him walk out on us? He literally said "I don't think this is a good fit." Omg! Who does that? I said to him he didn't have to take us then if he felt that way. Immediately he got up and walked out. I said wow. He said, "dont worry I won't charge you for the meet and greet." Again, who says this stuff? Explains the 3 star review. What a waste of my time because a NP doesn't have the confidence, ability nor personality to do his job and actually take care of people who spend valuable time to give him the chance. He is literally the worst possible person to be in this profession and I pray for anyone who actually can stand him as their primary. He clearly does not care about people and should not be in this profession. I'm so disgusted I called the board of licensure as well as his office manager (who is also his wife.) so that won't matter I'm certain. I pray for the women who work for him as they are very kind and not people who deserve that type of boss. I hope he isn't this way with them or his wife. What an ugly disposition and a miserable man. Yuck!
